His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2318: Chapter 668: Bound Together One Year Later (45)

When he sleeps, his breathing is a little heavy, and his brows are often furrowed.

Qin Mu later sat on the sofa, resting her chin on her hand, staring straight at him, observing him, scrutinizing him, and understanding him.

After dark, Qin Mu had a video call with the two siblings for five minutes, letting them see Mu Yichen sleeping, and then quietly said goodbye to them and ended the call.

At seven, she thought he might wake up soon, so she tiptoed downstairs to cook.

During this time, Qin Mu went out to buy groceries and also got him a fever patch. Mu Yichen, in a daze, pulled it off several times, especially when he saw it was a child’s item and wanted to throw it away. Qin Mu stubbornly put it on him again. After repeating this a few times, he gave up and peacefully fell into a deeper sleep.

That night, Qin Mu still didn’t have much appetite, but her mood was a bit better.

Because Mr. Mu had a good appetite!

”Why aren’t you eating?”

Mu Yichen, eating rice that was just right in texture, lifted his eyes to see Qin Mu always resting her chin and looking at him, then asked.

”I ate a bit while cooking. You eat yours, don’t worry about me.”

Qin Mu casually explained, and Mu Yichen lowered his head to eat again, not really caring whether she was eating or not.

Qin Mu suddenly understood why Mu Yichen usually ate so politely, because the person who cooked really doesn’t have much appetite at the dining table.

These two meals were probably the most formal meals she had cooked for him in her life.

And also the best meal she had ever cooked.

Mu Yichen didn’t mention Chen Xiaoyi’s visit, and Qin Mu didn’t ask. It seemed like both of them were silently aware and stubbornly stuck to some of their unreliable principles.

”About yesterday’s thing with Wang Huanyu, thank you!”

Qin Mu still brought up something else.

”For his affairs, does it still need your thanks?”

Mu Yichen questioned.

Qin Mu gave a light smile and didn’t respond.

After eating, Mu Yichen sat on the sofa to watch TV like a lazy boss, and Qin Mu brought him medicine. He didn’t protest as much this time and slowly drank it.

Qin Mu stood by for a while, thought it over, and then sat down, taking an apple from the fruit plate to peel for him.

Neither spoke, and Mu Yichen would occasionally look at her as she leaned over to peel the apple, looking quite relaxed, then unobtrusively continued watching TV.

Yesterday, no matter what, she wouldn’t stay. He asked if she still wanted to leave with him like this, and her turning her head and walking away was the answer she gave him.

Mu Yichen suddenly admired his silly sister a bit, not knowing what trick Mu Qingxin used to make her so comfortably sit here with him now.

After peeling the apple, Qin Mu cut it in half and gave him one half.

Mu Yichen reached out, and his fingers touched hers. This time, she didn’t recoil as if shocked, nor did she look at him, but Mu Yichen glanced at her twice, and then, eating the apple, continued to watch TV.

Qin Mu also took a bite of the apple. It was crisp, juicy, and sweet, but she felt like she couldn’t chew it properly.

It was almost nine o’clock.

Mu Qingxin had sent her numerous WeChat messages.

Qin Mingzhu had sent her numerous WeChat messages.

Then, in the group chat, there were already hundreds of messages.

She heard her WeChat constantly buzzing, but didn’t pick it up to see because she could pretty much guess what they were talking about.

As for Mu Yichen, who was already being annoyed by it and furrowed his brows, he asked: ”You’re not going to check?”

”They’re gossiping!”

Qin Mu calmly answered him, giving him a look like it was all because of him, and then continued eating her apple.

Mu Yichen didn’t say anything more; gossiping, they were probably just talking about the two of them.

It was already nine o’clock!

Mu Yichen glanced nonchalantly at the watch on his wrist, then slightly adjusted his position and continued comfortably watching TV.

Qin Mu watched him not looking sleepy at all and worried, thinking he probably slept too much in the past two days. Tonight, after taking medicine, he felt a bit better and not sleepy at all, right?

Sigh!

The cold treatment over these days finally made them drift a little apart. Today, Qin Mu sighed in her heart, thinking probably again...

She couldn’t help but look at Mu Yichen again, feeling increasingly like a cat scratching inside her heart, the childish feeling particularly uncomfortable, yet she couldn’t let it out.

”How about a game of chess?”

”No stakes, right?”

”Up to you!”

Seeing her cautious look, Mu Yichen said, and Qin Mu relaxed, then decided to play chess with him.
