His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2341: Chapter 673: Chasing Wife Across Thousands of Miles (5) Not Leaving

The door closed, and Mu Yichen suddenly said, ”Find the ring!”

”I’m not finding it!”

”You’re not finding it?”

”Hmm! Whoever threw it should find it themselves!”

Qin Mu stood at the door, leaning against the door panel, her hands pressed against it behind her back, feigning indifference in refusal.

Mu Yichen snorted and then went to search for the ring himself.

He remembered tossing it behind him, probably near the bed.

But this morning, before leaving, he looked around and saw nothing, so now he’s checking by the sofa.

Qin Mu observed him half-kneeling by the sofa, peering below it, and instinctively snorted, thinking, if you’re bold enough to throw it, just don’t bother searching for it!

Now he’s looking so thoroughly, who is he doing this for?

Mu Yichen frowned; nothing under the couch either. Considering the force and direction he threw it with, it shouldn’t be there, but at the door...

Mu Yichen stood up, clapped his hands, put his hands on his hips, and strode toward Qin Mu.

Qin Mu stood straight there, unmoving, her eyes focused on him, guarding against him.

Mu Yichen didn’t look at her, continued searching, but couldn’t find it, then stood by the bed, trying to recall. He grabbed the quilt with one hand, tugged it hard, but there was nothing on the blue bed.

Qin Mu seeing his constantly furrowed brow, thought to herself: just take your time finding it.

Qin Mu turned her head, ”I’m going out!”

Mu Yichen took a few large strides, pulled her back just as she was stepping out.

”If I don’t find the ring today, you’re not allowed to go anywhere!”

”It’s time to eat; if you don’t go down and won’t let me go down either, do you want to starve me? This is abuse!”

”Don’t you love dieting? I’m fulfilling that for you now!”

Mu Yichen coldly and emotionlessly said to her.

Qin Mu puffed her cheeks, but she was silent for a while.

Mu Yichen had turned the room upside down, just short of lifting the bed, still couldn’t find it.

Qin Mu sat on the edge of the bed, occasionally humming, later Mu Yichen calmed down a bit, turned to look at the woman sitting and listening to music on her phone, then walked over.

Qin Mu slowly raised her eyes, having browsed over his tall figure, she looked at his face, his deep eyes, then something moved in her throat, asked him unnaturally, ”What’s up?”

”Did you see it?”

”I didn’t see it! You threw it, how could I have seen it? I’ve been in your mom’s room all day.”

Mu Yichen squinted at her, half believing, half doubtful.

”Master, Madam, dinner is ready!”

”Mom and Dad, it’s dinner time, I’m starving!”

The auntie called from outside, and Huanhuan also chimed in.

Only then did Mu Yichen have to stop searching for the whereabouts of that ring. Leaving in the morning, he thought since it’s all in their bedroom, and told the maid not to clean, it should be easy to find, but now, he suddenly regretted it, no matter how angry he was; how could he gamble their wedding ring like this?

”Got it!”

Mu Yichen glanced at the door, said indifferently, then glanced at Qin Mu again. With Qin Mu’s wary look in her eyes, he turned and pulled open the drawer.

He had already taken the ring back to the apartment, came back that day, and brought it again, yes, he liked to be inseparable from those two rings.

But, she was unwilling to wear it for him.

However...

Mu Yichen opened the drawer, Qin Mu’s eyes moved slightly, her ears catching the sound of the drawer opening.

Inside, a pair of rings lay quietly in a box, Mu Yichen opened the box, his frown slightly relaxed, glancing up at the woman sitting on the bed.

”I found it in my shoe when putting on shoes and put it back for you!”

This time, Qin Mu had no choice but to explain, feigning indifference.

Mu Yichen picked up his ring, he thought again and steadied himself, finally putting that ring back on his finger.

Yes, he didn’t want the mark on his finger to disappear; he didn’t want everything warm, commemorative in their marriage to gradually fade away from his sight.

Initially, he just wanted to keep her with him; he thought he didn’t care about the ring; someday, he could forcefully put it back on her.

But only until today did he suddenly not want to be stubborn anymore.

And when Qin Mu realized something, glanced over and saw him wearing the ring again on his clearly defined fingers, her surprised eyes looked toward him; at this moment, indeed, there was no pleasant expression on her face, even if she tried, she couldn’t keep pretending.
