His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2337: Chapter 672: Chasing My Wife Ten Thousand Miles (4)

”Mu Yichen, can’t you be a little gentler?”

”When I’m gentle you complain it’s too soft, when I’m rough you scream it hurts. You really are impossible to please!”

Mu Yichen pinched her cheeks, deliberately speaking to her in that pampering, suggestively intimate tone.

Qin Mu’s big dark eyes stared at him, honestly stunned speechless by what he’d just said.

Last night in the garage—no, in the car—he almost wore her out to death, and this morning before she even opened her eyes he was already touching her. And now, he actually...

Fine!

Qin Mu realized that lately, no matter when she was with President Mu, he was always the one in control.

Whatever he said was right, whatever he did was justified.

But this time, coming to the Mu Family to take care of Feng Fanghua, he’d pushed off responsibility completely, and Qin Mu just didn’t believe that when Mu Qingxin came to find her, he had no idea about any of it.

”Let go of me!”

Qin Mu was forced up against the wall. She unhappily glanced down at her own chest still pressed against his, then immediately tilted her head up, proudly telling him to let her go.

Mu Yichen lowered his eyes, smiling at her with lazy ambiguity, lashes half-drooping. ”If I let go just because you told me to, then what does that make me?”

Qin Mu was so angry she refused to answer him, twisting her head to look elsewhere.

Mu Yichen didn’t care, simply lifted her heels off the ground and carried her toward the bed.

Only then did Qin Mu have no choice but to look down at him again, both hands braced on his shoulders. ”What are you doing? If you go at it again I’m seriously going to die! I still have to take care of your mom later!”

”My mom is your mom! Besides, Dad’s back, you don’t need to keep exhausting yourself.”

As he spoke, his voice was already a little unsteady, and he pinned her down onto the bed.

Qin Mu stared at him in disbelief. ”So that’s what you’re thinking... Since your dad is back, I’ll be leaving!”

”You really have to say things like that to break my heart?”

”What did I say that breaks your heart?”

”Leave! The moment you say you’re leaving, that’s what breaks my heart!”

Qin Mu...

She couldn’t out-argue him. Qin Mu was so angry she was on the verge of tears, finally tilting her head back to stare at the ceiling, her eyes unable to make out the light fixture above.

Mu Yichen caught both her hands, interlacing their fingers tightly. Then his gaze fell on her hand—where the ring mark had completely faded. The pad of his finger gently rubbed along her knuckle, recalling how that finger used to look. Then he shifted slightly to the side and pulled open the drawer next to them.

Hearing the sound, Qin Mu lifted her eyes, saw what he was holding, and immediately hid the hand he’d let go of under her back.

”Mu Yichen, I don’t want it!”

Qin Mu refused him in a flustered yet utterly firm way.

Mu Yichen held the ring, his pitch-black eagle eyes fixed on her. ”You really don’t want it?”

That question sounded like it carried an element of coercion.

Qin Mu knew that if she said she didn’t want it, he’d be furious.

But she wasn’t afraid of offending him on this point. This wasn’t about the two of them enjoying each other physically; this was a matter of principle about their future.

Even though the lawyer seemed unreliable, before the lawyer officially told her to give up, she wouldn’t—no, even if the lawyer said he couldn’t help her get a divorce, she still wouldn’t, wouldn’t put that ring back on.

It’s over!

Their marriage!

”I don’t want it!”

Qin Mu’s expression wasn’t great, but her refusal left no room for compromise.

Mu Yichen casually flung the ring away, then got off her. Without another word, he turned around and walked out.

Qin Mu lay there. When she heard the door slam shut with force, her shoulders gave a violent tremor, and her lashes immediately lowered.

That deafening sound made it impossible for Qin Mu to get up from the bed. He was furious.

But she had already made up her mind long ago. She’d originally planned to wait until he let down his guard and then leave. If she put that ring back on again...

Qin Mu decided everything would still go according to the original plan.

Feng Fanghua, supported by Mu Zihao, had gotten out of bed. She stood at the doorway watching Mu Yichen go downstairs with a cold face. She wanted to say something, opened her mouth, but not a single word came out. Then she turned, angry, to look toward the door a short distance away. That door was tightly closed, but Feng Fanghua kept feeling that Qin Mu was inside, and that she definitely wasn’t doing well either.
