His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2311: Chapter 666: One Year Later (43)_4

Indeed! She never had much awareness in this area.

”Come to the apartment, yes, here.”

Listening to Mu Yichen’s words, Qin Mu felt it made sense. Considering that it wasn’t easy for Mr. Mu to relent, she spoke carefully with Wang Huanyu for a few more minutes. After hanging up, she felt relieved: ”I guess I didn’t fail in my mission! So I...”

”You’re not going to say you’re leaving, are you?”

Mu Yichen frowned, feeling like he wanted to punch this woman. Did she have no conscience?

”Then what am I doing here? I’ll help you call Mu Qingxin to come take care of you!”

”Just get out!”

Mu Yichen turned his back to her and didn’t want to say anything else.

Qin Mu glanced at his profile and thought she might as well leave!

Not leaving, and staying here to serve you?

Qin Mu decided to leave heartlessly because she felt staying to take care of him wasn’t good for either of them.

Qin Mu left, and when Wang Huanyu arrived at the apartment, Mu Yichen was still wearing that sleepwear to open the door for him.

Wang Huanyu was puzzled to see him: ”Why are you opening the door?”

”Gone!”

Mu Yichen murmured, turning around to walk inside first.

Watching his back, Wang Huanyu felt he seemed quite lonely and disappointed, so he didn’t ask much, quickly closing the door for him.

Mu Yichen sat in the living room sofa, dejectedly pinching his brows, his fingertips inadvertently touching his eyes, noticing they felt hot, no wonder he couldn’t lift his spirits.

Qin Mu drove away from his place and didn’t go to the shop. Instead, she was inexplicably drawn to the studio.

Perhaps it was because nobody had worked here for a long time that the lake’s chill seemed exceptionally penetrating, making the lake feel lifeless.

After getting out of the car with her bag, she stood by the lake for a while, then looked towards the long pavilion extending into the lake. Qin Mu remembered Mu Yichen’s words back when he had it built, just because she liked to see where the mountains and lake met, he wanted to give her a comfortable spot.

However, it wasn’t long before she closed the place.

Their relationship never truly reached the end.

Qin Mu raised her eyes to gaze into the distance for a moment, then lowered them, sighing quietly.

The colleagues from the studio had returned to Paris, but the decor and arrangements inside were still the same.

She pushed open the door on the first floor, reflecting on how excited they had been when they started working there, and as she recalled all their experiences, she couldn’t help pausing.

Back then, Yanzi and Xiaomei would often chat at the front desk, making the whole floor lively yet vibrant.

Qin Mu walked from the first to the second floor, heading towards her office, overwhelmed with memories as she moved, her heart sinking more with each step until she opened her office door.

In the azure sofa lay a tall man, holding a magazine with patience, intently reading.

He was waiting for her to finish work.

At that time, Mu Yichen often waited for her to finish work; Qin Mu walked slowly towards the front of the sofa.

The sofa was now empty, covered in a thick layer of dust.

Qin Mu squatted down, her clean, warm fingers gently brushing away the dust, leaving streaks of fingerprints.

Her long lashes quivered slightly, she chuckled softly, pondering while looking elsewhere.

Perhaps this place would remain abandoned from now on, a pity.

She went to the window, looking downstairs, Xiang Hang’s car had inexplicably parked by the lake opposite. Qin Mu suddenly recalled that he seemed to have been following her from afar recently, though she occasionally remembered him.

Since returning to town, she felt perpetually distracted.

In her heart, she never quite knew what she was thinking about, having missed so many people and sights.

That time...

Again, it was that time!

Qin Mu unconsciously sighed, then turned her gaze toward her desk, which had stood there all along.

She remembered laughing and arguing with Xiaomei and other colleagues there, announcing the studio’s closure.

She also recalled everyone’s reluctant and incredulous expressions.

But it was disbanded nonetheless.

She went to the lounge, surprisingly not a mess. Before leaving, everyone cleaned it up, promising to return it to its original state. She remembered a period where she argued with Mu Yichen, staying here with the child, the place remained clean, much like now, albeit with some dust and the remnants of past memories.
