His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 2317: Chapter 667: One Year Later (44) Mutual Destruction_5

Kneeling there halfway, facing him, watching him, as he drank a sip or two of the medicine.

Mu Yichen suddenly looked at her: ”Will you leave once I finish drinking?”

Qin Mu raised her eyes to look at him, as if a heavy stone was thrown into her heart, and her breath was taken away, a layer of mist covered her eyes.

”I won’t leave!”

When she uttered those two words, her lips were burning, her face slightly unnatural.

Mu Yichen looked at the crystal in her eyes, then turned his head to finish all the medicine in the cup.

Qin Mu also turned her back to him, tilted her eyes upward, trying to keep the tears that shouldn’t fall, forcing them back.

After that, in the not too large but also not too small space of the sofa, the silence lingered for a while.

Mu Yichen finally handed the cup back to her.

Qin Mu slightly lowered her eyes, coming back to her senses before taking the cup, she got up to place it in the kitchen.

As Qin Mu walked to the kitchen, her pace quickened, once inside, she took deep breaths multiple times, her hands gripping the cup firmly, it took her a full two minutes before she came out.

But she poured him a glass of plain water.

This time, Mu Yichen did not refuse again, he took the cup and drank the water slowly.

After the news segment on TV was over, a period of commercials began, the commercials on CCTV were always unique, they gave off a positive feeling when watched.

Qin Mu sat beside him, watched the commercials, and gradually calmed down.

Later, Mu Yichen became drowsy on the sofa, Qin Mu noticed him move slightly, turned her head, and saw him dozing with folded arms, his head drowsily drooping down.

Qin Mu...

”If you want to sleep, go sleep in the bed!”

Qin Mu knew that people with a fever tend to feel sleepy, so she softly reminded him.

He squinted at her, a bit sleepy.

”I can’t move!”

Qin Mu’s eyes slightly dimmed while watching the TV.

After a few seconds, Mu Yichen felt his arm being held.

Mu Yichen did not look at her, but instinctively switched off the TV with the remote, and Qin Mu helped him stand up, and guided him upstairs.

In her mind, Qin Mu envisioned a scene of two people in their seventies or eighties, clearly upset with each other, yet still supporting one another, heading where he wanted to go.

Impossible! How could they possibly go that far?

Qin Mu told herself that the reason she was doing all this today was because Mu Qingxin had asked her.

Because when Mu Yichen spent so many years in Paris with her as a child, Mu Qingxin did not experience the care of a brother, Qin Mu felt a sense of guilt toward Mu Qingxin, didn’t she?

After helping him lie down, Qin Mu couldn’t help but smile.

Mu Yichen lay on the bed, looked at her hopelessly: ”Why are you smiling?”

”It’s nothing!”

Qin Mu suppressed a smile, responding.

”Nothing? You’re smiling so happily?”

Mu Yichen was angry, a bit annoyed with her.

Qin Mu then lowered her eyes to gaze at him: ”Looking at you now, you resemble a useless old man.”

Mu Yichen stared directly at her, not uttering another word.

Qin Mu felt uncomfortable under his gaze, instinctively started to avoid his eyes, she hugged her own arms and cleared her throat: ”Aren’t you sick now? Once you recover, you’ll be as lively as ever! Don’t misunderstand, I’m not saying you’re incapable!”

After Qin Mu finished explaining, her eyes brightened, what was she exactly saying?

”Do you want to try?”

Qin Mu looked down at him in surprise: ”Try what?”

From her understanding of him, if he was truly upset, he would definitely say nothing and directly pull her onto the bed to show her whether he was capable or not, thus when he acted unexpectedly, she felt a bit puzzled.

”Try whether I am capable now, in this condition.”

Uh...

Though he didn’t directly pull her onto the bed, the meaning was still the same.

Qin Mu thought he was truly incorrigible, instinctively moved a little further away: ”Sleep quickly, don’t overthink.”

Mu Yichen returned to silence again, but his eyes remained fixed, with a thoughtful gaze, staring at her, making her skin crawl.
