His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1800: Chapter 508: Mrs. Mu Goes to Work Out of Boredom with Mr. Mu

The next day, Qin Mu dressed flamboyantly to accompany Mu Yichen to work, truly bored out of her mind.

The former Qin Mu would never have imagined that one day she would go to great lengths because a girl liked her husband, yet she felt a frivolous urge to humiliate Zhang Hongyun.

She even Googled simple ways to deal with a mistress, which included appearing before her with her husband, showing off their love, and irritating her to death, the simplest way.

So as Qin Mu entered the elevator, she suddenly lowered her head, forcefully lifted her long hair draped behind her, tied it with a hair tie, purposely exposing her beautiful neck.

Yes, last night, General Manager Mu couldn’t resist being a vampire yet again, and after looking in the mirror this morning, Qin Mu contemplated the marks on her neck and felt they shouldn’t go to waste, hence she followed him into the office building.

As she walked into their office building, she was the poised Mrs. Mu, but once inside the elevator, she turned into Mu Yichen’s mischievous, overly playful little Qingmei.

Like when she was a child, not daring to openly do what she wanted to the women who liked him, now she could finally do it.

Zhang Hongyun was working with particular diligence, but upon hearing the sound of high heels, she instinctively raised her head.

Standing directly opposite her desk, not too far away, Qin Mu smiled slightly, but it wasn’t directed at her.

Xi Meng, noticing her, expressed surprise but also delight: ”The great designer here so early?”

”Yes! The great designer is on break this year, so those who always complained I rarely came for inspections will now have plenty of chances to be inspected!”

Qin Mu said with a smile, then raised a hand, casually running a finger over the spot with red marks.

Zhang Hongyun reflexively followed the movement with her eyes, and then sat there like a dummy, staring at the marks on her neck.

”By the way, I heard Miss Zhang makes good coffee. Could you kindly make me a cup later?”

Standing aside watching her perform with such relish, Mu Yichen tried hard not to laugh. Qin Mu glanced at him and knew she was being a bit ridiculous, so she walked to his side, hooked his arm, and walked to the office with him like a proud little girlfriend.

Zhang Hongyun remained dazed.

Xi Meng lowered her eyes, then turned to look at Zhang Hongyun: ”Since our boss lady wants to drink coffee you made, why don’t you take the trouble to make two cups and bring them in!”

Xi Meng thought she was conveniently lazy these days; it was good to have Zhang Hongyun do it.

”Okay!”

Zhang Hongyun reluctantly agreed, then lowered her head, the hand holding the document inexplicably hurting.

”Don’t forget the promise you made in the boss’s office; you said nothing would go wrong again. Hurry up, and don’t let the boss find faults! If you’re really told to pack up and leave, it would be a hassle finding new recruits!”

Xi Meng continued her facade of goodwill.

”Okay!”

Zhang Hongyun nodded, then got up and went to the tea room.

Zhang Hongyun felt indignant; a few days ago, she had dinner with colleagues, and everyone said Qin Mu hardly ever came to the company more than twice a year, yet she had already been here twice. Could it be that Qin Mu saw her as a rival in love?

Zhang Hongyun bit half of her lip, overthinking it so much that she didn’t notice the overflowing water, burning the fingers holding the cup, she winced in pain. When she looked down, she realized her three fingers were already red from the burn. Trying to rinse them under cool water, she accidentally spilled coffee on the floor, then jumped aside in alarm, staring blankly at the spilled coffee on the floor, and feeling her heart ready to leap out.

When she brought the coffee over, half an hour had passed. Qin Mu was sitting on Mu Yichen’s lap, bantering with him. Upon hearing the knock, she said, ”Come in!”

Zhang Hongyun brought the coffee in: ”Boss, Madam, your coffee!”

Qin Mu noticed Zhang Hongyun’s eyes dark and her expression quite displeased, then looked at the coffee in her hand: ”Did your boss say he wanted coffee? I only asked for one cup for myself!”

Though Qin Mu’s hand was still resting on Mu Yichen’s neck, the words came harshly.

Zhang Hongyun raised her eyes, somewhat surprised at Qin Mu’s ruthlessness; she was just too irritating.

”I thought since you two were together, I would make two cups!”

But remembering Mu Yichen’s words, with Qin Mu sitting on his lap now and him gazing at her face without looking away, Zhang Hongyun didn’t dare speak a single word too much, weighing each word carefully.
