His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1760: Chapter 492: New Assistant (Part 2)

Qin Mu walked over and sat by their bedside, then quietly listened.

Huanhuan didn’t stop because of Qin Mu’s arrival; instead, she became more focused. Chengcheng seemed a bit tired and suddenly lay down next to his sister, but he was still listening intently.

The nanny stood nearby and left with a smile when she saw Qin Mu sit down.

A bit later, Huanhuan closed the book: ”Alright, today we just talked about...”

Before she finished her sentence, she turned her head to see her brother already asleep. She was suddenly stunned, but didn’t get angry. Instead, she sighed like an adult and then covered her brother with a blanket.

”Mom, I want to go back to my room and sleep too!”

Huanhuan hugged the book like a teacher.

”Okay!”

Qin Mu nodded, then stood up and helped Huanhuan down from the bed. The mother and daughter wearing matching slippers walked out, gently closing Chengcheng’s room door.

After Qin Mu sent Huanhuan to her room to sleep, she returned to her own room and saw Mu Yichen had washed up and was lying on the bed waiting for her. She walked over briskly, in a very good mood.

”Your daughter has really grown up; she can now read to your son!”

Qin Mu walked over and sat beside him, gently placing her hand on his chest and spoke.

”Yeah! She’s already seven years old!”

Mu Yichen looked at Qin Mu, his gaze gentle and focused.

Seven, such a number, neither quite big nor small, but these seven years have been unforgettable for them.

Qin Mu unconsciously smiled as well: ”Indeed!”

Seven years ago, she gave birth to Huanhuan in Paris. Today, she and Huanhuan are at a place belonging to them, with the people they love most.

”These seven years have been so profound for me! Mrs. Mu!”

Mu Yichen spoke softly to her and gently pulled her into his arms.

”Hmm! I just thought of something!”

Qin Mu leaned against his chest, slightly melancholic.

”Hmm?”

Mu Yichen gazed at her pretty face, questioning.

”I’m already twenty-seven!”

Qin Mu looked up at him, feeling a bit sad and helpless.

These years, she has grown continuously but forgotten her age.

But today, watching Huanhuan grow up, she suddenly remembered, she too is no longer young.

Mu Yichen gently stroked her long hair, his brows slightly furrowed, silent.

At first, Qin Mu didn’t know why he was silent, but then figured it out and lowered her head in his arms, smiling against his chest.

If she’s twenty-seven, then Mr. Mu must be older?

Forget it! She is still young, after all, there’s their Mu General.

”Humph!”

Mu Yichen didn’t sigh but snorted, always defying age.

”Why are you laughing? Even if I’m a few years older, have I not taken care of you? Have I not fulfilled you?”

Mu Yichen asked.

Qin Mu shook her head vigorously, no, absolutely not, their Mu General is mighty and domineering.

”There you have it! Age only holds significance for some people, for me, it’s just a number.”

Mu Yichen said, but he didn’t realize that, in fact, over the past two years, he’s become even more charming than before.

Although he still gets upset and jealous, he’s no longer that immature boy who went to Paris claiming it was a business trip just to see her.

”I’ve never despised you, why are you acting like this?”

Qin Mu playfully pinched his chin and asked him.

Mu Yichen gazed at her with dark eyes, quickly flipping her over and pinning her onto the bed: ”Mrs. Mu is being a bit tricky today! Do we need a little ideological lesson?”

Qin Mu didn’t know how he planned to conduct this lesson, but his large hand was on her buttocks, almost crushing them.

”Fine, let’s have a lesson, but no hands!”

Qin Mu also placed her hand down, uncomfortable yet reminding him.

”Humph! I always use my hands rather than my mouth, did Mrs. Mu forget?”

Mu Yichen’s eyes became more seductive and he did as he said.

As for Zhang Hongyun’s matters, no one mentioned them.

Mu Yichen had forgotten long ago, and as for Mrs. Mu, trusting her own husband is her motto.

—

At around six o’clock the next morning, Qin Mu was woken by a rustling sound. She opened her eyes groggily, and when the curtains were drawn, she saw the big window was covered in rain.

Last night’s rain had started this morning.

The rain that was supposed to fall last night came this morning. Qin Mu thought it might rain all day today.

However, in the morning, Mu Yichen still sent her to the studio downstairs on time.

After Qin Mu got out of the car with an umbrella, Mu Yichen drove off, and Qin Mu stood on the steps and watched him leave, feeling quite pleased.
