His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1769: Chapter 495: Abandonment? (2)

Li Man remained stubborn, refusing to listen.

Li Man’s mother was too angry to speak, just looked at her beloved daughter with distress. Li Man had always been obedient since she was young, until she fell for Li Yu, and between mother and daughter...

Li Man’s mother harbored resentment towards Li Yu, and it was no ordinary resentment.

”I will stay with him until he’s back on his feet. Mom, don’t say things like that again, he doesn’t like strangers touching him. Even if he considers your feelings and agrees to find a caregiver, I won’t agree to it!”

After saying this, Li Man turned around and went inside.

Her mother stood there looking at her stubborn backside, gasping in anger, her headache worsening.

When Li Man returned to the hospital room, she seemed in a good mood, happily walking over: ”Dad, don’t come over with Mom tomorrow to bring soup, the hospital food is quite good. Even if it’s not, I can order from the restaurant for him!”

”Why don’t you make it for me yourself?”

Li Yu chuckled after hearing that, thinking it was all bought anyway.

”I can! I’m just afraid if I leave for a while, you’ll feel uneasy!”

Li Man playfully said to him.

Li Yu lifted his eyes, helplessly sighed softly.

Li Yu’s father looked at them like that, wanting to be happy, but his smile faded as he thought of Li Man’s mother, and his emotions subsided.

”Anyway, since they’re helping us so much, we must thank them properly!”

Li Yu’s father thought for a moment and said.

Li Yu said nothing, Li Man replied: ”Don’t worry, their relationship doesn’t need too much ceremony, I’ll thank them properly on behalf of my brother.”

Li Man really liked her stepfather, even though he was a stepfather, he’d always been especially loving and tolerant towards her. Li Yu’s father was exceptionally kind-hearted, and compared to her relationship with her biological mother, Li Man felt much closer to her stepfather.

——

That night, Qin Mu received a WeChat message from Li Man.

”My parents came over today, asking us to thank you properly!”

Qin Mu received the message while working through thoughts with Chengcheng. He was young, at the age where he’d forget things he just heard. Yet Qin Mu still asked, and indeed, he admitted hiding his sister’s Barbie.

With Little Chengcheng stubbornly in her arms, Qin Mu picked up the phone from the carpet and quickly replied: ”Between us, don’t stand on ceremony!”

After sending the WeChat message, Qin Mu put the phone down and carried Chengcheng up from the carpet, putting him on the bed.

”Mom, are you still mad at me?”

Chengcheng asked her worriedly.

Qin Mu tucked the blanket over his legs, smiling at the SpongeBob on his pajamas, she couldn’t help but gently laugh and stroked his little head: ”Mom’s not mad anymore, just don’t hide your sister’s things anymore.”

”Okay! I promise!”

Chengcheng lay down like a good little boy.

But it wasn’t even two days before he started up again.

It seemed like it was very fun for him, always enjoying making Huanhuan unable to find her Barbie.

But soon after, Huanhuan learned to sleep without cuddling her Barbie.

Qin Mu started to appreciate her son for helping her daughter break a bad habit.

That morning, as Qin Mu and Mu Yichen were heading out, she said to him: ”I was worried Chengcheng’s antics would drive his sister mad, but unexpectedly, your daughter didn’t go crazy, and even stopped sleeping with her toy!”

Before getting in the car, Mu Yichen gently held Qin Mu in his arms: ”She’s grown up. She’ll correct many bad habits that she realizes herself!”

Qin Mu smiled lightly with a hint of pride.

”When you were her age, you were a total little fool!”

Mu Yichen looked down at Qin Mu’s silly smile, a fleeting memory of her at seven passed through his mind, and he couldn’t resist gently stroking her hair.

”Oh no! You’ve messed up my hair!”

Qin Mu quickly lifted his hand to pull his hand down, then hugged his arm: ”I don’t want to drive, could you take me to work?”

”Get in!”

Mu Yichen, as if incapable of refusing her, immediately opened the passenger door for her without complaint. After glancing at her, he let her into the car.

Qin Mu happily got in the car.

On the way, Qin Mu asked Mu Yichen: ”Mom recently viewed two more schools, but rumors say they’re not as good as the first one she saw. Should we go check it out?”

”These schools are about the same in capability. As for mom’s choice, if you trust Huanhuan’s abilities, then she can go there.”
