His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1792: Chapter 504: Prank

Qin Mu was sleeping in a daze and didn’t have time to answer the phone. Later, she felt for her phone and saw a WeChat message.

Old Qiao: ”Qin Mu, you better get over here quick, your husband got drunk and was taken upstairs by Zhang Hongyun.”

Qin Mu rubbed her eyes vigorously and looked again.

Then she quickly got out of bed.

But when she looked down at the WeChat message again, it had already been retracted.

Qin Mu frowned, thinking, what does Old Qiao mean by this?

Or could it be that Zhang Hongyun is really with her husband...

Wait! Isn’t Zhang Hongyun out shopping with a handsome guy?

Feeling confused, Qin Mu bent her knees, hugged one leg with one hand, and found Mu Yichen’s number with the other, dialing it.

No answer?

Qin Mu frowned anxiously at her phone, then recalled the quickly retracted message from Qiao Yi. Could it have been Qiao Yi’s prank?

But why isn’t her husband answering the phone?

Qin Mu felt like her mind was completely blank, perhaps because she hadn’t slept well. So she slowly lay back on the bed, gripping her phone, pressing her temples, trying hard to recall something.

When Mu Yichen’s car reached near their studio, the team was coincidentally returning from a restaurant and couldn’t help but tease when they saw his car.

But apparently, Mr. Mu didn’t hear it. The car arrived at their studio, stopped, and he got out, striding toward the place he longed for.

Qiu Xiang, holding her dark-colored bag, stood at a distance and said to her friends behind her, ”Every time I see Mr. Mu come to our studio so seriously, it feels like he’s pondering some big life decision!”

The people behind her couldn’t help but laugh. Xiaomei even teased, ”Isn’t it a big life decision!”

Mu Yichen reached her office, one hand braced against the door frame, looking a bit helplessly at the empty room, silently sighing.

Then he turned and went to her break room, only to find the door closed.

Mu Yichen frowned, looking down at the doorknob in his hand.

Qin Mu had just called him when her phone rang as she heard the door, surprising her. The phone slipped from behind her ear to the bed, and she scrambled, sitting up, asking quietly, ”Who is it?”

Mu Yichen, holding his phone, instinctively connected the call: ”It’s me!”

Qin Mu...

Weren’t you going upstairs with Zhang Hongyun?

For some reason, she suddenly felt an urge to laugh.

But she pursed her lips tightly and got out of bed.

Still not knowing why, as she was already at the door with her hand on the doorknob, she suddenly turned around, leaning her back against the door, holding her breath, sneaking a peek behind the door, and then inadvertently smirking.

”I heard you were drunk at the hotel!”

”Who the hell said that?”

Outside the door, Mu Yichen also leaned against the door, hearing Qin Mu’s small, slightly aggrieved voice, but unable to see his expression, feeling a bit annoyed.

”Who else could it be? Of course, your good buddy. Didn’t Zhang Hongyun accompany you upstairs to rest? Are you really the Mu Yichen I know?”

Qin Mu glanced at the door with the corner of her eye.

Outside, Mu Yichen raised a hand to the door, his forehead resting on his fist, sighing again: ”Mrs. Mu, how old are you this year?”

Qin Mu...

How old?

The question from Mr. Mu bewildered her.

”Open the door and we can talk!”

Mu Yichen, leaning against the door, pressed his thumb to his brow, lowering his head in frustration as he spoke to her.

”I won’t!”

Qin Mu stubbornly resisted like a child. Being asked her age wasn’t pleasant, and she suddenly realized that she had been back from Paris for five years since she returned at twenty-two, and it had been seven years since they began on Christmas night when she was twenty.

Their love was silent yet earth-shattering.

Of course, all thanks to Mr. Mu.

Inside Qin Mu, a strong turmoil suddenly stirred, emotions quietly welling up, starting from the deepest part of her heart and rising to her throat.

”Not opening? Chen Xiaomei and the others are back! Let them see the spectacle?”

Mu Yichen frowned, hearing the chaotic footsteps downstairs. Even though everyone tried to move quietly and make little noise, wanting to eavesdrop upstairs, at this moment, he was so passive.

As soon as Qin Mu heard this, she instinctively turned around and immediately opened the door for him.
