His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1772: Chapter 496: Just a Drink

After the woman put on the clothes that Qin Mu had altered, she immediately felt much more refined. While she couldn’t help but marvel, she also couldn’t help but feel dissatisfied—Qin Mu’s arrogance really irked her.

”You’re so sure I’ll fall for your tricks, accept this outfit, and buy the rest of the clothes from your store?”

The woman raised her chin unhappily and looked at Qin Mu.

”I never do pointless work!”

Qin Mu said calmly, relying on her natural charisma.

”You...”

The woman was so furious she felt like she could explode. After thinking long and hard, she finally had a retort and immediately told Qin Mu, ”I can totally take it off and throw it in your face, telling you it doesn’t fit and I want a refund!”

”You should know very well if it fits or not. You might as well show it to your friends. If someone says it doesn’t fit, bring it back, and I’ll give you a full refund. But if you come back for a pointless refund, then there’s really no friendship to speak of!”

The emphasis was on those last three words.

Eventually, the woman not only bought the dress Qin Mu suggested she try, but also took another piece she had previously considered. Although she shamelessly asked for a discount, Qin Mu didn’t mind.

Qin Mu thought to herself, anyway, in ten or twenty days, there’d be an event, and the current discount is still high.

After that woman left, everyone breathed a sigh of relief. Wang Li couldn’t help but give Qin Mu a thumbs up, ”I was really scared to death by her just now!”

”Hmm! I was okay!”

Qin Mu pretended to be composed and said, but after finishing, she couldn’t help but laugh a little, with a thin layer of sweat on the tip of her nose. Really afraid that if the woman suddenly turned hostile, she’d throw the clothes down and walk away. If it really was like that, a group of ladies couldn’t do anything to her.

Wang Li saw the tip of Qin Mu’s nose, smiled, then lightly lifted her hand to hug her from behind, ”Let’s go get coffee!”

”Hmm!”

The coffee in the office was cold, but since the weather wasn’t too chilly and having just accomplished something, she felt that the taste of the coffee wouldn’t be too unbearable.

”If you weren’t here just now, I might have made a scene, and just swapped it for her, with no other option!”

”Today’s work time fee is cheaper than just swapping it for her; feeling it’s itchy to do so anyway!”

Qin Mu thought that she hadn’t worked the sewing machine in a while. If Mu Yichen knew she was fixing clothes for others and yet went to the factory to have his suits made, he probably would sulk for half a day.

Starting at ten, the foot traffic increased, and the staff were incredibly busy. Qin Mu stayed in her office reading, and when Wang Li wanted to give her a report, she refused.

Later, seeing Hangzi wandering outside, bored walking back and forth, Qin Mu thought about it and knocked on the window.

The man, who had just lit a cigarette, turned his head, looked inside, and through the opened blinds saw the woman inside. He cautiously asked her what was going on.

Qin Mu didn’t say a word, just signaled him to come in.

Hangzi entered her office, pushed the door open, glanced inside, and then stood at the door: ”Got something?”

”How can you protect me standing outside all the time? Better protect me closer. Also, I noticed you wear the same set of clothes every day. As my bodyguard, shouldn’t you dress appropriately? At least make sure people don’t mistake me for treating my people poorly?”

Qin Mu pretended to seriously chat with him, sitting in the chair playing with a pencil.

Hangzi...

Later, Hangzi was dragged by Wang Li to the men’s section, pushed to try on several sets of clothes. Clearly unused to being pushed around like this by women, he eventually had to follow their instructions and change into a few suits.

Qin Mu was quite satisfied with Hangzi’s appearance thereafter and let him take the cup of coffee given by Wang Li out.

Hangzi always felt odd wearing suits, but Qin Mu said who says bodyguards can’t wear suits, so after many years, he finally wore suits again.

Hmm! Quite handsome indeed!

After Hangzi stood outside again, Qin Mu suddenly looked at that very handsome man and couldn’t help but think, with such a handsome man, how could he not have a wife?

She couldn’t help but glance at Wang Li who walked into her office and then chuckled softly.

——

Before going to bed at night.

”Honey, do you think Wang Li and Hangzi have feelings for each other?”

”Hmm?”

Mu Yichen was checking his emails on the phone, reflexively using one hand to hug her, looking at her blankly.

”Don’t you think Hangzi is very handsome? Our Li Li is quite capable too, surely she can take good care of Hangzi!”

Qin Mu blinked at him, trying to persuade him.
