His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1764: Chapter 493: Still a Secret (3)

No such thing, from his perspective, there’s nothing much to say.

You can’t expect him to report every woman who wants to chase him, can you?

Besides, do all women in this world have issues? Do they all like married men?

Mu Yichen thought that women with such intentions didn’t deserve to stand with him, didn’t deserve a glance from him, so what qualification did they have for his wife to know?

Unaware, Qin Mu soaked away all her fatigue in the bathtub, adding rose petals to make her body soft and fragrant.

After Qin Mu finished her bath and dried her hair, she came out and noticed her husband wasn’t on the bed, feeling a bit disappointed, she wasn’t happy and was about to go look for him when the door opened.

But it wasn’t Mu Yichen; disappointed, she lowered her head and saw her daughter: ”Mom, I can’t find my Barbie!”

Huanhuan said at the doorway, barely able to hide her sadness.

”Really? Don’t you put it on the bed every day?”

Qin Mu thought for a moment, then left the room with her.

Huanhuan pouted, ”Mom, Grandpa gave it to me, and I really like it.”

”I know!”

Qin Mu reassured, knowing as soon as Huanhuan mentioned losing her Barbie that it must be the one Qin Haiming had given her. Huanhuan hugged it every day to sleep; losing it would indeed upset her.

Qin Mu went back to the room with her, and indeed there was no toy on the bed. She lifted the covers, but there wasn’t a thing there.

Qin Mu searched elsewhere, asking the tearful Huanhuan standing by the bed, ”Think if you played with it outside today?”

”No! I cuddle it every night and only play with it in the room.”

Qin Mu couldn’t believe it, recalling she’d seen Huanhuan take it outside more than once.

But a child’s anxiety at losing something meant Qin Mu needed to find it quickly.

”Get on the bed, don’t catch a cold. I’ll go find it and ask Grandma and the others.”

”Okay! Mom, please find it. If you don’t, Huanhuan will be too sad to sleep!”

Huanhuan stood there, still looking sadly at Qin Mu’s figure.

Qin Mu promised and went out, immediately seeing Mu Yichen coming over, ”You’re just in time, your daughter’s Barbie is missing. Help me find it, will you?”

”What Barbie?”

”The one her grandpa gave her, the one she cuddles to sleep with.”

Qin Mu spoke while heading out, about to go downstairs to ask others.

Mu Yichen furrowed his brow, rubbing his fingers over his brow thinking, why were they looking for toys so late?

He peeked into his daughter’s room and saw the little girl standing there sadly, feeling a pang of heartache.

”How about Daddy sleeps with you?”

Mu Yichen went over and gently picked her up and sat her on the bed, softly asking.

Huanhuan slowly shook her head, unwilling.

Mu Yichen felt a bit heartbroken.

”Even with Daddy accompanying, it’s no good? Is a toy more important than Daddy?”

Mu Yichen probed.

”Daddy, how can you compare yourself to Barbie? She’s my favorite toy, and you’re my dearest Daddy!”

Despite the lingering sadness in her big eyes, Huanhuan retained her reason.

Hearing his daughter’s explanation, Mu Yichen felt a bit inconsiderate, nodding, ”Okay, Daddy will help you find it!”

He glanced around the room, even looking under the bed, thinking when did he ever squat so low? He was almost lying under the bed.

Soon enough, the whole family was mobilized, only to find it in Mu Chengyang’s room. Little Mu Chengyang was already asleep, yet Huanhuan’s Barbie was hidden behind toys on his shelf.

It being in an accessible spot indicated it probably wasn’t placed by an adult. The nanny whispered to Qin Mu that it might have been left during the siblings’ evening play.

Qin Mu thought it seemed too well-hidden to be merely left behind casually.

It was late, so she didn’t ask further.

”Everyone, go rest. Thanks for your help!”

She was really sorry for calling everyone to help find a toy so late.

After finding Huanhuan’s toy with the whole family’s help, Qin Mu and Mu Yichen returned to her room, discovering she was already asleep on the bed.

Qin Mu...

Standing by the bed, Mu Yichen chuckled, ”Just a moment ago she couldn’t sleep without it!”

Taking the Barbie from Qin Mu’s hand, Mu Yichen looked at it and placed it beside Huanhuan’s pillow.

Qin Mu sighed, squatting beside her daughter, she noticed a dampness at Huanhuan’s eye corner, her heart ached slightly.

Back in their room, Qin Mu said, ”Huanhuan cried herself to sleep.”

Mu Yichen...

Couldn’t understand the pain a lost toy had on a child.

Later, when they went to bed, the first thing Mu Yichen wanted was something indescribable, but Qin Mu quickly stopped his wandering hand, ”Tomorrow morning?”

”Morning again?”

Mu Yichen frowned, resisting.

”I am exhausted after helping your daughter find the toy!”

Qin Mu pitifully pleaded with him.

”Then just lie there and don’t move, I’ll handle it!”

Mu Yichen was not pleased with Mrs. Mu’s suggestion.

Qin Mu...

With her clothes taken off, she felt too unfortunate for not offering any resistance.

Just as she was about to resist, he flipped her over, making her lie down like a fish awaiting the chopping board.

”Mu Yichen, can’t you be more gentle with me?”

”What do you mean not gentle?”

Mu Yichen ignored Mu’s complaints, giving her backside a firm pat.

Qin Mu was embarrassed and annoyed, never meeting someone who could tease more.

”Ow! Ouch! Darling, be gentler, please!”

Qin Mu could only play soft, pitifully begging for gentleness.

Mu Yichen leaned on her beautiful back, enjoying her sweet voice especially.

Qin Mu thought, go on then, but...
