His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1752: Chapter 490: Be Careful

Qin Mu left Wen Runuan and Xiaomei and went to the upstairs private room, but she was quite surprised to see Liu Jingyuan’s sister here.

Liu Jingyuan’s sister nodded at her: ”Mrs. Mu, we meet again!”

Qin Mu shook hands with Liu Jingyuan’s sister before sitting down next to Mu Yichen.

”I couldn’t have guessed it would be you!”

Qin Mu said with a smile.

”I didn’t expect it either, to be dining here with you and your husband!”

Liu Jingyuan’s sister said to Qin Mu with a smile as well.

”If you don’t mind, just call me Sister Liu. I’m leaving tomorrow and was tasked to discuss something with Mr. Mu before I go. I didn’t expect you to be here too.”

Liu Jingyuan’s sister explained to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu’s eyes were calm, only cooperating with a smile, thinking to herself, it turns out they were here for business. When she just came in and saw Mr. Mu with this lady, she thought it was because of Liu Jingyuan’s affairs and got a fright.

Luckily, it wasn’t! Qin Mu felt relieved, then quietly took Mu Yichen’s teacup and drank a sip of tea.

Mu Yichen slightly raised his eyes but then lowered them again without saying a word.

Ms. Liu saw Qin Mu using Mu Yichen’s teacup so naturally and couldn’t help but laugh: ”Looks like your relationship is really as good as Jingyuan said!”

Qin Mu raised her eyes, looked at her teacup, laughed quietly, and then put the cup back.

She had just seen the teacup between the two of them and thought it was a new one Mu Yichen had poured for her before she came in. Turns out...

No wonder Mr. Mu had given her such a deep look earlier.

But he didn’t tell her it was his cup! But it doesn’t matter, between husband and wife, sharing a cup is no big deal!

There are too many shared things to count, Qin Mu thought.

”Everyone here is wise, so let’s speak frankly. My brother has told me about his matters, which have nothing to do with you two, so don’t worry about it!”

Ms. Liu said to Qin Mu and then looked at Mu Yichen.

Mu Yichen raised his eyes, naturally understanding that the sister’s words were mainly directed towards him.

”Other people’s business isn’t something we would concern ourselves with, although there’s been some gossip outside. Just tell Mr. Liu not to take it seriously either!”

Mr. Mu’s words were full of pettiness, but such pettiness made the two women cautious.

Married people naturally understand that he cares so much because he loves his wife dearly.

”I will convey that to him as well!”

Ms. Liu said generously.

”Jingyuan plans to develop in Beijing, so there won’t be as many opportunities in Rongcheng in the future!”

Ms. Liu thought for a moment and added.

This made Mu Yichen’s eyes shift slightly.

”What about his wife?”

Qin Mu asked curiously.

”My sister-in-law was taken to Beijing a few days ago by my people. Their son is so young, even if they’re divorced, they shouldn’t be separated like this, right?”

Ms. Liu said responsibly to Qin Mu.

Qin Mu nodded: ”I hope they can reconcile in the future!”

”As his sister, I hope so too!”

Ms. Liu always smiled with such grace.

Listening to the two women chat, Mu Yichen idly took Qin Mu’s hand and played with it in his palm.

These past two days, Qin Mu had been drawing all day. Her fingers had just softened a bit before but became stiff again these two days!

”Things will get better eventually. I mean, you two weren’t together for so many years before you finally ended up together, right? People in love are destined to be together!”

Ms. Liu said, looking at her and Mu Yichen, also expressing her own admiration.

”Hmm! I want to toast to you, very happy to meet you!”

Qin Mu raised her glass and said to Ms. Liu, not out of politeness, but out of admiration for Liu Jingyuan’s sister’s grace, she decided to toast.

”Okay!”

Ms. Liu lifted her glass, clinked it with Qin Mu, and although they were both women, they both finished their drinks.

After lunch, Ms. Liu left, and Qin Mu and Mu Yichen went downstairs to find Wen Runuan and Xiaomei still drinking. The two seemed to be getting along well.

Qin Mu and Mu Yichen stood by for a while, watching as Wen Runuan gossiped with Xiaomei about entertainment circle trivia, finally noticing their presence.

”Oh! How come you two are here? Has that Ms. Liu left?”

Wen Runuan raised her eyes and saw them, swaying slightly, doubting her own eyes.
