His Beloved Treasure

Chapter 1793: Chapter 504: Prank (Part 2)

When Xiaomei and Qiu Xiang went upstairs, they only caught a glimpse of Mu Yichen’s figure, and then the door was slammed shut and locked.

Mu Yichen’s tall figure pressed against Qin Mu’s slender body by the wall, his forehead also pressing against hers: ”Didn’t you say you wouldn’t open it?”

”Well, I couldn’t let others laugh at you either!”

Qin Mu suddenly became very protective, and Mu Yichen couldn’t help but chuckle, while Qin Mu’s face was blushing red with embarrassment.

No one could shake her bias.

It’s her own man; she should be the one to witness his awkward moments alone.

”Why did you suddenly come over?”

Qin Mu recalled their WeChat messages, both telling him not to come.

”If you don’t come over, I can only go to you!”

Mu Yichen said, gently pinching her chin. Her charming eyes looked into his deep gaze, making him unable to remain unaffected.

Though they’d been married for some years, Mu Yichen always found himself at the mercy of his emotions when looking at her.

”What about you being drunk?”

Qin Mu asked curiously, unsure why both had unconsciously lowered their voices in the room.

”Who told you that?”

Mu Yichen asked her softly, blocking her view, and gently kissed her lips a few times, teasing her.

”Qiao Yi! But shortly after he sent the message, he hung up, and he also called me, but I was asleep and didn’t hear it.”

”Hmm! Old Qiao wasn’t feeling well today; he was just teasing you!”

Mu Yichen answered Qin Mu nonchalantly, though he mentally took note of Old Qiao’s act.

”Oh!”

Qin Mu, suddenly appearing like a shy little woman, wanted to tease him back, but he interrupted her with gentle, teasing kisses that left her speechless, as she involuntarily responded to his kisses, trying to reciprocate.

Mu Yichen deliberately teased her, preventing her from capturing his lips, and after several attempts, Qin Mu gave up, feeling dizzy as she looked at Mu Yichen’s deep gaze watching her blushing yet frustrated expression.

Then, just as she wanted to push him away, he tightly grasped her waist, pressing her against his firm chest. The playful teasing ended, replaced by a kiss that left her even more dizzy.

”Mu Yichen!”

Qin Mu gasped, her hands pushing against his shoulders as she called his name.

Mu Yichen lifted her up, turning toward the bed without breaking their kiss.

”Hmm?”

”You’re so bad!”

Qin Mu complained instinctively.

Mu Yichen said nothing, merely tugging her lips lightly, making Qin Mu wince in pain: ”Hmm!”

Qin Mu instinctively wrapped her arms around him, her slender legs hooking around his firm waist, later giggling as he teased her. Outside, the two eavesdropping girls couldn’t help but lower their heads in embarrassment, accidentally bumping into each other and crying out in pain.

Qin Mu and Mu Yichen immediately turned their heads toward the door in alert, while the two girls, frightened, quietly sneaked away.

”It must be Chen Xiaomei!”

Qin Mu mumbled after the silence returned.

Mu Yichen lowered his gaze, again captivated by his wife’s enchanting expression, unable to resist a tender smile. He was much gentler as they continued.

In the afternoon, Qin Mu was designing in her office while Mu Yichen lounged on her office sofa, engrossed in a game on his phone.

Qin Mu occasionally glanced at him, unable to resist sighing, thinking, Chengcheng has been obsessed with gaming recently, probably because Mu Yichen taught him, right?

Later, unable to complete her design, Qin Mu sketched an illustration of her husband reading on the sofa instead. She suddenly felt her drawing skills had improved greatly recently, likely thanks to Mu Yichen.

Qin Mu walked over to him, nudging him lightly with her foot, and Mu Yichen looked up at her after his resting leg was attacked.

Qin Mu handed him the paper.

Mu Yichen looked at the high-quality paper in her hand, stunned for several seconds.

Qin Mu held the top of the paper patiently, waiting for his reaction.

Mu Yichen slowly sat up, not taking the paper, but holding her wrist instead, and Qin Mu gently turned around, now sitting on his lap, held in his embrace.

”Always playing games!”

Qin Mu nagged.

”I’m so handsome even when playing games?”

Mu Yichen teasingly asked her.

Qin Mu...

”No wonder you love me so much!”

Mu Yichen added, making Qin Mu’s heart flutter slightly, yet she didn’t look at him.

Mu Yichen gently took the paper, holding it in front of them, then suddenly chuckled: ”I must keep this well; who knows, Mrs. Mu might depict more of my handsome visage in the future.”

”Don’t be vain, I just lacked inspiration, and you were a ready-made model!”

Qin Mu mumbled stubbornly, her eyes lowered.

—

Mu Yichen wasn’t upset; in the evening, he returned home and went to the study to place Qin Mu’s drawings of him and the children into a special spot in the bookshelf.

Huanhuan was sitting on a small stool, diligently practicing pinyin. Qin Mu watched her pressing hard with the pen, and furrowed her brows, trying to recall if she had practiced with such intensity as a child, but found no memory.

When Mu Yichen had to leave later, Mu Zihao went to his study to discuss the pharmaceutical factory, so Mu Yichen temporarily parted from Qin Mu.

Huanhuan showed her completed pinyin workbook to Qin Mu, who continued to frown. It’s not that Huanhuan wrote poorly, but it seemed the writing almost pierced through the notebook pages. Was the quality of the notebook poor? Clearly not!

”Why are you always frowning? She’s just learning, of course she isn’t as comfortable as you. Now, we should encourage her.”

Feng Fanghua, seeing her daughter-in-law frowning, kindly reminded her.

”Hmm! It’s quite okay!”

Qin Mu nodded, cooperating by praising Huanhuan, then handed the notebook back to her.

Huanhuan looked at Qin Mu’s face, sensing her mother’s dissatisfaction, but...

”Mom, can I play now? Chengyang is waiting for me!”

Huanhuan blinked pitifully, then glanced at the little boy waiting for her.

Qin Mu looked down, seeing the little boy sitting by the window, looking a bit forlorn from waiting.

”Go ahead!”

Qin Mu reluctantly agreed, thinking it’d be better for them to study together in the future, as that boy seemed to have too much free time, always playing.

”Yay! Mu Chengyang, let’s go to the playroom!”

Huanhuan stood up and ran off without looking back.

The coffee table still held her pencil case and notebook, with the pencil tossed aside. Qin Mu’s brow involuntarily furrowed again.

The auntie quickly moved to clean up for Huanhuan, but Qin Mu stopped her: ”Don’t clean up! Wait until she comes back and does it herself!”

The auntie looked at Qin Mu, then uncertainly at Feng Fanghua.

”Clean it up, no need for her to do such small things!”

”No way! Mom, I can’t compromise on this; she’s going to first grade. She needs to handle such minor tasks by herself!”

Feng Fanghua disliked Qin Mu’s stubbornness, while Qin Mu disliked how Feng Fanghua spoiled Huanhuan.
