Chapter 1445: Chapter 128: It’s Not Over Yet_2

Even if the fighters ambushed in the hazard zone are naturally floating, with low energy consumption, and even if the pilots have been pre-equipped with double survival essentials and prepared for a long stay in space, ready to endure physical fatigue... The three motherships’ four thousand five hundred space fighters can only maintain one wave of intense attack.

If the first strike misses, the opponent will seize the gap when the fighter group is resupplying and returning to suppress them with full force.

Thus, when Auben commands the battleship main formation to move to the right wing of the battlefield, attempting to close in and release fighters for a two-sided pincer with the left-wing destroyer and cruiser group against the bandit army’s battleship main formation, he never imagined that the opponent’s fighters had already been deployed.

The mantis stalks the cicada, unaware of the oriole behind. His main formation had unwittingly placed itself between the bandit army’s battleship main formation and their fighter group.

Fatty played along, focusing his attention on the slaughter of the Central Battle Group, taking advantage of Auben’s battleship main formation’s attempt to occupy attack positions or execute tactical evasions, ignoring his movement to the right wing. Ultimately, the fighter group ambushed in the hazard zone completed an unexpected Absolute Kill at the crucial moment.

However, even though the fighter group attacks directly at the enemy’s main formation’s rear, the main formation composed of six A-class fleets and aircraft carriers is incredibly powerful. To end this battle, the bandit army’s battleship main formation must make a choice.

Choose left, attack Auben’s destroyer fleet coming from the left wing and use a curved movement to sweep the central battlefield’s Jiepeng Fleet, which had lost their main formation’s fire support. However, even if the fighter group could destroy most enemy battleships, the enemy’s flagship might still escape.

Choose right, directly attack Auben’s battleship main formation. If combined with Fatty’s prior ambush, the enemy flagship’s escape probability is nearly zero. Those warships entangled in the Central Battle Group will eventually meet their doom. However, if that happens, Fatty must...

”I advise towards the left.” A Major General raises a hand, unconsciously glancing at Fatty’s tactical computer while speaking during the Phantom First Fleet’s command discussion.

He is aware that choosing right would leave the main formation’s rear exposed to the left wing, where the three fast-approaching Jiepeng Sub-fleets, plus the Lightning Falcon fleet, are an unstoppable force for the Siriaduo Fleet.

Even trying to entangle them for a while might not be feasible. It’s known that during the previous slaughter stage, Fatty was nearly beaten by Auben.

This Major General’s suggestion resonates with most staff officers and Phantom Corps officers, yet only Fei Ouwen and other bandit army generals, along with Margaret and Tony, remain silent.

Margaret brushes her long hair aside, suddenly smiles and winks at Fatty, ”If you want to try, you can let me command the fighter group.”

”No try, no sleep!” Fatty grinds his teeth.

”Are you confident or not?” Tony, who had been silent, suddenly speaks up.

”Half!” Fatty raises his eyelids, looking into the eyes of this young fleet commander, knowing this team has finally been acknowledged.

”Let’s do it!” Tony extends his hand.

Beside him, Margaret, who grew up with Tony, hesitates and then smiles while reaching out her hand too.

Fatty looks around; at a glance, Ann Lei, Tony, Blatt, Fei Ouwen, Helen, Chel, Robert, Zhou Zhisen, Carl... Everyone’s eyes gleam brightly.

Fatty extends his hand, giving a firm shake with Tony and Margaret.

”Do it!”

After speaking, Fatty nods earnestly to Margaret, ”You take the lead; fighter group is yours. Good luck!”

If not for this rascal’s sleazy eyebrow raise, Margaret might not have realized...

The phrase ”you take the lead” reminds her of a scene in the Hanjing hospital room. Suddenly, two blushes appear on her cute face. This dead Fatty! He behaves like this in every situation! She rolls her eyes at Fatty with moist eyes and turns to her tactical computer to activate the command recognition system and take over the fighter command.

Margaret, heralded as Hastings’ successor, had independently commanded large-scale operations since the age of eighteen. However, since meeting Fatty, she neither had the chance nor wished to command the operations herself. A military leader is solely the core of the force. Fatty is not only the bandit army’s core but also the core that Hastings created for the New Alliance Army.

For Margaret, Fatty’s growth far outweighs the significance of any battle. Since the Hanjing attack, this notion has become deeply ingrained and steadfast. Few know this genius little witch has unconsciously turned into a dedicated supporter.

Relinquishing Hastings’ successor role left her feeling incredibly light. But if anyone believes her talents and command skills were abandoned, they would be gravely mistaken.

The Jiepeng people’s battleship concentration covering actions and fighter deployment are well concealed. Experienced enemies know that battlefield advantages shift quickly, like the rhythm of a tap dance. Minutes pass in an instant; endure for a while, and survival may be possible. They even purposely abandoned some battleships to attract Feiyang’s fighter group attacks.
