Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1422: Chapter 114: One Month_2

Through observation, they discovered an interesting phenomenon. When the two marshals remained silent, whether they were bandit army generals in blue uniforms or Chuckna generals in dark green uniforms, they all focused their attention on the Fatty, who was staring at the ceiling with wide eyes, appearing calm and composed.

In the bandit army base meeting room sat the two most powerful marshals of the Fei Alliance, discussing matters that should have been addressed by the Alliance Commander or Command Department, which appeared somewhat intriguing.

”Speak, what do you want me to do?”

After a moment, the Fatty rolled his eyes and broke the silence.

Upon hearing the Fatty’s words, Hastings, who had his eyes closed, revealed a slight smile, while Li Cunxin, who had been staring at the combat map, showed a trace of appreciation and pride on his face.

The two old foxes exchanged glances and coughed simultaneously.

Blatt and other bandit army generals exchanged glances, all shaking their heads with a smile. The few old fellows from the Leray Supreme Command Department had manipulated the Fatty just like this before—it’s exactly the same.

But thinking about it, given the current situation, indeed only the Fatty could be sent.

This war cannot be ended with just one or two battles. Which historical world war didn’t end until resources were exhausted? The importance of Leifeng Star is self-evident, and the Fei Alliance now lacks time.

At the outbreak of the war, due to the negligence of various countries, the Fei Alliance was far behind the Western Alliance in war preparation and caught off guard. It wasn’t until the Western Alliance ignited the flames of war across the entire human interstellar map, with warships rampaging through space and mechas capturing cities, that the Fei Alliance reacted.

It has been nearly two years since the full-scale war began. During these two years, the Fei Alliance member countries, lagging in military preparation, have been desperately excavating their economy and production capacity, manufacturing warship mechas, and arming and training troops. In terms of comprehensive power, the Fei Alliance absolutely surpasses the economically struggling countries of the Western Alliance, but without transforming power into combat capability, everything is in vain.

Chuckna is the most typical example.

This country, which has never feared war, actually felt somewhat lacking in confidence when faced with this sudden cosmic war. The reason is simple, Chuckna was not prepared to face a full-scale war.

If it weren’t for the Southeast War Situation already rotting to their doorstep; if it weren’t for the usually submissive Chuckna military taking the strongest resolve and counterattacking in Resk; if it weren’t for the battle in the Northern Mountain Region of Canglang Star shaking the entire Chuckna to the point of public sentiment surging, Chuckna would likely still be a frog in warm water at this moment.

Now, the Presidential Office has unified thoughts with the military and decided to invest all its power to win this war. However, this transition has only happened within one month’s time.

What’s even more frustrating is that while every Fei Alliance country is paying off the debt for the shortsightedness of the politicians, the current Fei Alliance Joint Congress, the governments of various countries, and some politicians in opposition parties are still holding back! Endless meetings, endless quarrels, impeachments, internal consumption. As long as the war fires don’t reach these people, they won’t stop.

The Supreme Command has already issued dozens of orders in succession. Even Hastings, who usually doesn’t intervene, helped McKinley by sending letters to various national military governments. Yet, some countries are still endlessly arguing over how many troops to send and how much military expenses to bear, while politicians are still trying to use every voting opportunity to exchange benefits, coerce, and demand.

The entire Fei Alliance is like a giant free market with everyone scheming for their own interests.

Even if not competing for benefits, these people would break down every decision to every single word and argue. Each side claims their argument is justified with neither willing to concede, turning a blind eye to the extremely severe war situation.

At this point, the only force that can win time for Hastings is this army!

Seeing the undisguised gratitude and joy on the faces of the two marshals and the Chuckna generals around them, Blatt and Fei Ouwen, those Leray generals, felt nothing but pride.

In this war, the most determined fighters are the Leray Federation. At this crucial moment, the Leray Federation is still at the key points.

This small peaceful country, despite three hundred years of peace, did not become weak. Facing strong enemies, it erupted with unimaginable strength, winning everyone’s respect with its blood and will.

The departed Hamilton must be smiling at this moment.

His efforts were not in vain.

Now, Hastings, Li Cunxin, and several countries have already stood by the bandit army.

And facing the current situation, the Fatty similarly did not hesitate. Like Hamilton, he knows what he needs to do. The battle of Resk is the beginning of a new Leray Federation. He must lead this army to win the toughest challenges, to win the hearts of all Fei Alliance citizens, all Fei Alliance soldiers!

”Help us hold out for a month!” Li Cunxin seriously looked at the Fatty: ”Rampage Mecha has already produced nearly five hundred units. You take them all. Keep an eye on Binart’s Judger Force, absolutely do not let them break through the defense lines.”

”A month?” The Fatty was startled, his face twitching endlessly, ”Wasn’t it a week?”

”The third batch of reinforcements won’t go to Leifeng Star,” the silent Hastings inserted: ”The Leifeng Star Domain is not suitable for fleet battles, we need to first make Mikami Yuto retreat and consolidate the Canglang Star battle zone. The Jiepeng people are ultimately Jiepeng people, regardless of everything, Canglang Star is where their Prince Bobett’s Headquarters is, so you can only wait for the fourth batch of reinforcements to arrive.”

As he spoke, Hastings glanced at Tony and Diana, and the four Phantom Corps officers unconsciously jumped up and stood at attention.

”Since I’m handing them over to you, they are now bandit army personnel. This time, they will go with you as well.” Hastings said to Fatty: ”They have been prepared since departing Feiyang, the units can depart immediately. Chuckna provides a giant transport ship, you have only two armored divisions, you can depart within twelve hours.”

”Alright.” The Fatty sighed resentfully at Bonnie. The special fleet and three armored divisions led by Bonnie from the Gazalin Freedom Army not only have only seventh and eighth generation old mechas but also have just arrived, without having had time for any preparation, clearly unable to be counted on.

”Do you have any questions?” Hastings turned his gaze to Tony.

”Bandit army... two divisions?” Tony was somewhat dumbfounded.

”Yes, any issues?” Hastings said indifferently.

”No.” Tony gritted his teeth and stood firm.

Aside, Garfield, Isaac, and Diana, simultaneously confused, turned their gazes to the strategic situation map of Leifeng Star. Across the entire planet, hundreds of armored divisions from the red and blue sides are densely distributed in various areas. And along the battle line west of Phoenix City on Leifeng Star, nearly a hundred armored divisions from both sides interlock.

Bandit army two divisions, Phantom Corps three divisions, totaling five army divisions, is that the entire reinforcements the Fei Alliance sent to Leifeng Star within a month?!

”Just a question....” Fatty scratched his head.

”Speak.” Hastings said.

”If after a month, the fourth batch of reinforcements can’t arrive, what then?” Fatty said with drooping eyelids.

The meeting room suddenly quieted down, everyone focused their gaze on Hastings’ face. Fatty’s question was crucial. Given the current state of the Fei Alliance, whether within a month they can timely complete the fourth troop increase is hard to say. If reinforcements don’t appear then, the entire Leifeng Star battle situation might collapse.

”I have already communicated with President Francis,” Hastings said calmly, ”The fourth batch of reinforcements will be led by Feiyang Army. Within a month, I will mobilize forty armored divisions.”

Hastings slightly raised his head, his eyes flashing with brilliance. His voice carried the arrogance that overlooks the world.

”At least for now, I am still the Feiyang Defense Army Chief Commander, Feiyang Marshal!”

. Perhaps too eager to collect all previous clues, plus some hesitation, the recent plot couldn’t be pushed. Sitting down seems like everything needs to be written, and it comes out messy. It’s much better now.
