Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1403: Chapter 107: Winds and Clouds Surging (Part 3)

Robinson stood behind Haifer, with a similarly beaming smile.

Beside the two men, along with high-ranking officials from the Chuckna Military Department and the government, were two men in their sixties, one tall and one short, both exuding an imposing aura as they gazed intently at Fatty.

These two were Li Zhengyi, the owner of Fulong Sword Company, and Matt, the owner of Meteor Company.

Li Zhengyi was taller, with black hair at his temples beginning to gray. His skin was darker, his attire meticulous, presenting a genteel demeanor. A typical image of a scholar-type businessman. Indeed, Li Zhengyi was actually a top graduate from Hanjing First Military Academy, and a classmate of Haifer. After graduating, he joined the Fulong Sword Company, in which his family held substantial shares, and gradually developed the company into the seventh largest arms dealer. Many mecha designs were personally overseen by him.

Matt, on the other hand, was a Fatty. Like Robinson, he had a vibrant fat face, a large red nose, and a pair of blue eyes that always gave off a straightforward impression. His attire seemed more casual, with expensive brand clothes never quite achieving a sophisticated effect on him. However, being stared at by him made anyone feel an overwhelming pressure.

Though Meteor Company was only the third largest arms dealer, it was the universe’s largest warship manufacturer. Its warships’ technologies were far ahead of its peers. With nearly two hundred shipyards under its wing, it could simultaneously build eight hundred cruiser-level warships or two hundred battleship-level warships. It possesses the most advanced construction technologies for Feiyang’s Frenzied Shark-class cruisers and Unicorn-class battleships, nearly monopolizing Feiyang’s warship orders.

If not for losing the bid by a single vote to Martin Company’s Gods-class space carriers during Feiyang’s new type of aircraft carrier procurement ten years ago, Meteor Company would have long become the world’s largest arms dealer. Aircraft carriers being challenged by Martin Company and mechas by Vaughn Company had become the two deepest thorns in Matt’s heart.

Today, one of those thorns was cleanly pulled out. Securing the dominant position in Twelfth Generation Mecha manufacturing not only slapped old rival Vaughn Company but also slapped Martin Company.

With the Twelfth Generation Mecha, Meteor Company’s ascent to the top arms dealer was definitely not a difficult task.

All this was thanks to collaboration with the bandit army.

No, it should be said, thanks to cooperation with the Leray Lieutenant General named Tian Xingjian in front of them!

Especially seeing Hastings’ precious granddaughter, the future family heir Margaret, standing cozily beside Fatty, Matt was grinning ear to ear.

With Haifer’s and Robinson’s introductions, Li Zhengyi and Matt shook hands and exchanged pleasantries with Fatty. Everyone took steps together towards the workshop. The Twelfth Generation Mecha, modeled after Thunderbolt, was about to roll off the production line. Today, Fatty’s arrival was not only to witness this moment but also to name the new mecha and discuss further cooperation matters.

Walking into the workshop, Fatty had already forgotten all the worries brought by the battle report, chatting happily with Matt.

Margaret listened beside them, trying to conceal her laughter.

In Feiyang, everyone knows Old Matt’s flattery skills are unmatched in the world. With his praises of young talents and academic authorities, Fatty’s jovial face was almost grinning foolishly.

The longer Margaret spent time with him, the more she understood his extraordinary vanity. Even if flattered in various ways for a year, he wouldn’t tire of it; rather, he’d enthusiastically encourage you to continue, while smiling with joy and acting coy and bashful.

Even Hastings, her grandfather, occasionally complimented Fatty these days.

Margaret glanced at Fatty’s silly, grinning face and silently cursed him in her heart. Except for that one time calling the red-eyed old bastard, this guy calls her grandpa more affectionately than she does.

This shameless rascal!

In the spotless workshop, ten assembly lines were neatly arranged. One line had already activated when everyone stepped into the control room above the workshop.

Amidst the densely rotating mechanical arms of the assembly line, blue arcs flickered continuously. A Red Mecha, 90% through its assembly process, slowly moved along with the traction device. Behind this mecha, dozens of formed mechas closely followed, like steel soldiers marching forward.

Unlike Thunderbolt, the new mecha’s shape had some modifications.

The mecha’s head was shaped into a fierce ghost face with a protruding square jaw, sharp fangs, and two small eyes deeply recessed beneath a large forehead.

The broad back resembled a large shell, rising thickly along the shoulders and neck from both sides, enveloping the mecha’s head from behind, like a muscle-deformed Devil Muscle Man, whose neck seemed nonexistent.

Below the expansive chest was a tapered torso with relatively slender waist and abdomen.

Below the waist and abdomen were two frog-like long legs. The diamond-shaped angular joint armor design seemed peculiar, featuring a dual-joint design. The mecha’s limbs could conduct opposing joint movements. This means that if its long and thick arms were lowered to the ground, this mecha would gain movement and climbing capabilities akin to a Beast-shaped Mecha.
