Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1417: Chapter 112: Free-for-All (5)

The tense atmosphere was broken by the disdainful voice of a Ryan Colonel. His eyes were on his companion beside him, yet his voice was loud enough for everyone in the bar to hear, ”A bunch of militia who only know how to brawl and cause trouble, a group of bandits and thieves, is even honored to have people so eagerly kissing their asses. Tsk tsk, just watching it makes people feel embarrassed on their behalf.”

”Embarrassed for what?” a Tatania officer retorted sarcastically, ”Aren’t there some people who always stick out their tongues tirelessly when licking an ambitious person’s ass?”

”At least General Leefer is fighting on the front lines,” a Ryan Lieutenant Colonel slammed the table and said angrily, ”What has the bandit army done?”

”Leray fought for four years, who hasn’t been in a life-and-death struggle with them?” A Major Puditok on this side also stood up suddenly, glaring angrily, ”Wasn’t Mars captured by the bandit army? Didn’t the Longbow Star System fall to them? Not the Northern Mountain Region of Canglang Star, wasn’t that fought by General Tian? What’s so great about Leefer, didn’t he just win a battle in Catalonia?”

Hearing the bandit army’s achievements laid out, there was immediate silence around.

Even some neutral officers couldn’t help but nod. Thinking back, neither Leray nor the bandit army has been idle in this Southeast Star Domain.

”Admiral Leefer has already announced that starting today, a large-scale attack will be launched against the Western Alliance.” A Lieutenant Colonel from the Northwestern nation allied with the Ryan Republic stood up, snorting coldly, ”In the Central Combat Zone, the Karsdon Star River has been retreating continually, with only Admiral Leefer holding the fort in the Ryan Battlefield. What about the bandit army, why aren’t they on the list for this third reinforcement?!”

This hit a nerve with the pro-bandit army officers. Regardless of the band’s previous achievements, the fact they weren’t on the third reinforcement list stood unchanged.

”Exactly, fighting bravely from behind closed doors, what kind of heroes do they think they are.”

”Just afraid that no matter how much they boast, once on the battlefield, they’ll show their true colors.”

”Even if they are brought up, what role can they play? Just two divisions aren’t even enough to be a mouthful for the Jiepeng people!”

Seeing the pro-bandit army officers go silent, mocking and sarcastic remarks rose one after another.

The tight situation on the front line was already well-known. Don’t be misled by everyone drinking and chatting here, seeming leisurely. In fact, the hundreds of officers from various countries in this bar, who isn’t carrying something on their minds, worried about the Resk Battle?

Seeing that they were about to head to the front line and join the battle, everyone knew that the forces of this third phase of reinforcement were far from enough for the Resk Battle. More troops, it’s not that the Fei Alliance can’t provide them, but it’s a matter of time. But will the Western Alliance give the Fei Alliance time?

In recent times, everyone has been watching the bandit army.

Seated in this corner are countries with good relations with the bandit army, and there’s even a rumor within their respective troops about forming a new military alliance with the bandit army.

But this is merely a few countries in the Southeast Star Domain, only a minority.

The more than twenty Allied forces stationed at the base probably only look indifferently at the bandit army, with some not so friendly, blatantly sneering in everyday conversations.

Sour rumors are saying that the reason the bandit army isn’t on the reinforcement list is because the Fei Alliance Command Center doesn’t have direct command over them. We are ”Allies.” Whether they fight or not, it’s up to the bandit army itself. Now that the front line battle is so fierce, they are saving their best steel for the crucial moments, waiting for this bunch of cannon fodder to charge, and then they’ll go in to seize the credit in one swift stroke.

As long as the bandit army is not on the reinforcement list, such sarcastic remarks can’t be refuted. If the bandit army wants to prove themselves, they must go to the battlefield. This is war; showing off at home is useless. Whether they’re a mule or a horse, they have to be brought out for a test.

Seeing the other side becoming more and more complacent, a brown-haired officer glanced out the window, eyes firming up, and a sly smile creeping at the corner of his mouth. He estimated the time in his mind, grabbed a glass, and slammed it towards the loudest Ryan officer.

”Fuck you!”

Bang, a commotion ensued in the bar, with officers on both sides rolling up sleeves and punching, instantly getting into a melee. For a moment, glasses and chairs flew across the air.

Moments later, the bar door was pushed open.

A group of bandit army officers wearing blue uniforms walked in.....

”Wow, the fight started before we even arrived today,”

The leading bandit army officer, eyes gleaming with excitement, casually picked up a wine glass, leaped onto the table, and pounced into the chaotic crowd. Behind him, over a dozen bandit army officers yelling and rushing in.
