Counterfeit Hero

Chapter 1405: Chapter 108: The Secret Fleet

”Rampage!” Until Matt’s chubby body squeezed into Fatty’s flying car, leaving a deep imprint on the soft leather sofa, he couldn’t help but praise, ”Full of dominance, what a name! What a name!”

Fatty liked this old man more and more.

The old man liked to flatter, and he was also a Fatty. Even as the big boss of the world’s third-largest arms company, he looked more like a small farm owner or a friendly repair shop manager. Compared to others, his demeanor made Fatty feel more approachable and congenial.

Fatty, smiling slightly, threw a cigar to Matt and then handed him an electronic file, wearing a mysteriously enigmatic smile.

Matt was a bit surprised and opened the file.

Previously at the Fulong Sword Company, both he and Li Zhengyi had already reached an agreement with Fatty on a series of deeper collaborative ventures among the three parties.

Meteor Company and Fulong Sword Company would establish branches on Mars, investing in the establishment of a new assembly plant. Furthermore, part of the headquarters of the two companies would be relocated to Mars, with the most critical part being the research department. Despite appearing nearly impossible to others, with Hastings and Li Cunxin paving the way, there were no issues at all.

Besides manufacturing Mechas, the two companies also promised to collaborate on Mars to establish a military industrial district, producing various weapons and military technology urgently needed by the bandit army. This includes firearms, airborne energy cannons, missile thrusters, anti-jamming guided radars, heavy transport vehicles, shipborne energy shield generators, and specialized factories.

In the realm of Mechanical Technology, the two companies required Mars’ support, while in other military weapons and aspects where Mars’ industry was relatively weak, the two companies’ advantages were apparent.

Due to the threat of war from the Western Alliance, coupled with support from his country’s highest military commanders, the heads of the two companies, who were already allied with the bandit army, signed the contract immediately after watching Fatty perform the maddening display of driving ”Rampage”.

They understood this was a challenge and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. No keen insight or intuition was needed. Just observing the benefits brought by the Twelfth Generation Mecha or considering the thousands of Advanced Mecha Warriors in this unit and reflecting on Fatty’s journey, they could see the vast potential future of the bandit army.

Moreover, in this chaotic world, supporting the bandit army meant supporting themselves. It was like adding insurance to their enterprises. This was a concept that both of them understood better than anyone.

Invited by Fatty to get in the car together, Matt initially thought this overly young Leray Lieutenant General wanted to chat casually, at most about matters concerning Leefer. Unexpectedly, what he received in his hands was an electronic file.

A battleship blueprint!

Matt just scanned it briefly and was wide-eyed.

It wasn’t because he immediately grasped the complexity of the maddening blueprint, but because the battleship parameters on the file were just too straightforward and too infuriating.

”This... this is...” Matt stammered at Fatty.

”This is a part of our bandit army space battleship’s structural diagram and data,” Fatty lit the cigar, crossed his legs, trying to appear relaxed and composed, like a big shot.

”Are these data... real?” Sweat appeared on Matt’s forehead. His large, reddish, and bright bulbous nose stood out even more.

Ten years ago, he lost to Martin Company in the space carrier order contest, resulting in Martin Company holding a steady lead until now. This was Matt’s most shameful defeat. In his view, Apocalypse-class Space Carrier technology surpasses the God-level, and its actual combat performance is nearly perfect.

However, for reasons outside of technology, Apocalypse was eventually defeated by the Gods, which made him very dissatisfied.

The huge research and development costs became a heavy burden on Meteor Company. The blueprint for the Apocalypse-class Space Carrier still lies moldy in the safe.

”I researched the Apocalypse-class Carrier,” Fatty took a puff of his cigar, ”Meteor Company’s technology is actually quite good. If we combine it with the bandit army’s technology, I believe we can create an invincible fleet!”

”An invincible fleet?!” Matt gasped, looking at Fatty as if he saw a madman who didn’t know the heights of the sky. In the Army’s armored forces, perhaps there could be an invincible unit; however, in space combat, there has never been a legend of invincibility! Even the strongest fleet faces the threat of extinction in the perilous expanse of space.

Moreover... Matt stared hard at Fatty: ”How many can you order?!”

Fatty confidently raised one finger.

”Ten ships?!” Matt’s mind spun. Ten carriers mean ten A-class fleets. Does the bandit army have such strength now?! That would be contracts worth hundreds of billions of Fei Yuan!

Fatty shook his head.

Matt deflated: ”One ship? No need to order, I’ll just give it to you.”

In Meteor Company’s space dock, an Apocalypse-class Carrier is still anchored. This battleship was the one that participated in the Feiyang military bid ten years ago, lying in the dock for a decade. During these ten years, Matt visited the dock every year to see his cherished treasure. Over the decade, he has also continuously upgraded equipment for this carrier. With careful maintenance, once the carrier leaves the dock, it can go straight into battle.
