Counterfeit Hero

In September 2063, the war remained in a state of stalemate. After the major member states of the Fei Alliance and the Western Alliance declared war and engaged in fierce battles, of the more than sixty countries and regions in the human world, fifty-eight have been drawn into the war.

This is the largest, most brutal, and most tragic war in human history. Its extent and intensity far exceed the wars of independence during the disintegration of the Earth Federation and the racial wars between immigrant races.

More advanced technology, more abundant production capacity, and a larger population have been transformed into more sophisticated weapons, more formidable warships, and larger armies. Humanity has already lost control of the situation. Every country, every person, can only rush along the course of the war. If anyone dares to stop in front of this monstrous war, they must be prepared to be crushed by it.

Whether actively or passively, taking up arms and joining the fight is the only choice for everyone in this era.

The war fire is steadily spreading. One immigrant planet after another is greeted by warships that cover the sky; city after city is engulfed by tides of Mechas.

Looking at the situation, the Western Alliance, who initiated the war, still holds a significant advantage. The democratic nations of the Fei Alliance paid a heavy price for their indecision and blind optimism before the war.

At the beginning of the war, the Western Alliance, which had already made thorough preparations, launched a lightning offensive and swiftly occupied dozens of crucial space jump points on the human interstellar map, grasping the key main corridors of the stars. Subsequently, countless fleets blasted open the closed gates of the democratic countries, and innumerable Mechas were deployed onto planets by giant transport ships. The hastily organized resistance of the democratic countries could only retreat again and again in the face of the Western Alliance’s aggressive offensive.

On August 25, 2063, the Western Alliance army completely captured the capital Manu of the small western country Batoria. This small Fei Alliance member state, with only one star system and two immigrant planets, became the first victim of this war. Unlike the Leray Federation, the entire territory of Batoria was occupied. Its neighbor, the Western Alliance Orlans Empire, announced that Batoria had become its third province.

On August 27, 2063, the Puxi Republic, located in the northwest of the human interstellar map, lost its Capital Star and retreated to the last of its three immigrant planets within its borders. The Fei Alliance Joint Army, unable to send reinforcements because of the blockade of passageways, saw the remaining weak forces of the Puxi Republic unable to continue resistance. The Western Alliance Army’s publicity department prematurely announced victory in the Puxi Battle.

On the same day, the Fuen Federation in the Southern Combat Zone had its jump point breached, and the Alliance Fleet, composed of three Western Alliance countries, swarmed in, trapping the Fuen Federation Fleet’s main forces in the Blue Whale Nebula barrier zone with no way to escape. After sixty hours of battle, the three core fleets of the Fuen Federation were completely annihilated. Thus, in the starry sky of the entire Fuen Federation, there were no longer any warships belonging to the Fuen Federation, and Fuen’s defeat was a foregone conclusion.

On August 28, the Xi’an River Battle of the Xiya Republic’s Capital Star ended, and the Xiya Republic was defeated. Sixteen armored divisions and twenty-two fully mechanized infantry divisions were completely wiped out, opening the road to the capital... August 29, the armed forces of the Ruiji Democratic Alliance were crushed, and Ruiji Star fell... August 30...

The situation became increasingly tense due to the Western Alliance’s vigorous advance at the end of August. Every day, the public of the Fei Alliance member countries received disheartening news. The entire Fei Alliance was in a state of turbulence.

Anxiety and panic made more eyes focus on the Central Combat Zone and the Southeast Battle Zone.

In the Central Combat Zone are the leaders of both camps: the Binart Empire and the Feiyang Republic, as well as their two most loyal followers, the Naga Federation and the Ryan Republic. These four major powers are like the four legs of a table. If any one of them breaks, the other side will gain an overwhelming advantage.

However, neither the Binart Empire and the Feiyang Republic’s battle in Karsdon nor the historic rivalry between the Naga Federation and the Ryan Republic has yet reached a conclusion. It’s still too early to determine a victor. Hence, what everyone truly cares about is the Southeast Battle Zone, which is only second in importance to the Central Combat Zone!

The Southeast Battle Zone is the starting point of this monumental war and the focal point of contention for both camps. Among the top five major member states of the Western Alliance, three are located in this Star Domain.

Desic, Jiepeng, and Suss, these Three Great Empires, are monstrous in the eyes of any Fei Alliance member state. These empires, with their long histories of expansion and aggression, have always longed to unleash their military might and brandish their claws. For centuries, they were tightly restrained by the Fei Alliance and the Human Supreme Council. But now, the belts that bound them have broken.

With the Leray Central Channel opened, the Three Great Empires have already formed a united front, capable of swallowing the entire Southeast Star Domain.

Such a situation is enough to make every Fei Alliance citizen anxious.

With the division of the Leray Federation and the betrayal of the Saleria Federation, the Fei Alliance completely lost control over the Southeast Star Domain. The Western Alliance’s Three Great Empires could freely travel through the Leray Central Channel. Whether the Three Great Empires advanced north to the Karsdon Star River or launched a comprehensive campaign in the Southeast to uproot the Fei Alliance’s influence there, both were extremely dangerous gambits for the entire Fei Alliance.
