Counterfeit Hero

In the stands, the audience could only see a green shadow, darting around the black storm or hovering mid-air, constantly changing shape. The exchanged blows of fists and feet were invisible, with only the sharp, rapid clanging of metal heard.

One black and one green Mecha, both attacked with full force at the start. Their techniques were highly entertaining, and the Mecha’s fists and feet aimed for vulnerable spots, each move deadly. After more than a dozen moves, the pace quickened, becoming increasingly perilous, leaving both sides like riding a tiger. Anyone making a slight mistake would end up utterly destroyed.

In the third fighting arena, the infantry’s confrontation with Nakagawa Daiki was a different situation.

Nakagawa Daiki, a Level 3 Mecha War God of the Tai Sect, was also Kubo’s top fighter. Since his nephew Nakagawa Yui was killed directly on the first day Fatty became the director of Puluo Town’s branch by severing his spine with heavy techniques, the grudge against the bandit army was so deep it wouldn’t dissolve even in the ocean! Personally avenging him has always been Nakagawa Daiki’s utmost desire.

However, the failure in the Sect War made him realize that capturing Fatty in battle for torture was impossible. This realization struck him hard. Fortunately, the appearance of the Feiyang people gave the Tai Sect a temporary respite, and the arrival of that person from the Binart Empire and the agreement with the Suss Empire renewed his hopes.

Now, that Fatty was in box number nine. Nakagawa Daiki couldn’t help but glance there several times. He was already fuming about this Mecha tournament, just waiting for Kubo’s plan to be implemented. Then Fatty would be like a turtle in a jar, and now, it’s time for Fatty’s subordinates, the Mech Knights, to pay some interest for his actions!

Nakagawa Daiki struck with a killing move!

After the Sect War, exhausting all efforts, the combat Mecha rebuilt from Oak Company’s new generation ”Sky Flag” Private Mecha, burst into a curved advance with a Level 4 Fixed Formation’s major step mistake. With his arms retracting to his waist, after a sudden step below, he lunged forward, both fists simultaneously launched a Mountain Bombardment.

This move was as swift as a meteor; in the stands, the audience could only see a flash of red shadow from ”Sky Flag” before the next second it was already in front of the Green Mecha, advancing rapidly in a bow-step, initiating its punch as if it had started poised there.

This punch elicited an uncontrollable gasp from all onlookers watching the third arena. However, this exclamation wasn’t for Nakagawa Daiki........

Just as Nakagawa Daiki advanced swiftly with a punch, the infantry piloting the green ”Ranger,” that chubby figure, like a feather resistant to force, drifted back just twenty centimeters away from the punch, receding as ”Sky Flag’s” punch hit its peak, the always hovering green shadow before the fist merely flashed and appeared beside ”Sky Flag.” Among the gasps, ”Ranger” chopped down with a palm!

Infantry....... a Second-level Mecha Master from the Black Dragon Sect?!

If he truly were just a Second-level Mecha Master, then this drifting and flashing would require at least a hand speed of sixty moves per second, executing three Level 4 Finger Technique’s two connected direction-changing moves in a moment, how could this be possible?!

Among Black Dragon Sect’s techniques, there are many exquisite secrets, but nobody has ever seen such footwork! Many Mecha Masters at that moment simulated the infantry’s moves with their hands on their knees, but regardless of how they manipulated it, how they imagined their hand speed as however many moves per second, they couldn’t deduce the infantry’s operational skills for this move.

That green shadow wasn’t a Mecha; it was a Ghost!

Completely unexpected that a Second-level Mecha Master could avoid his attack and launch an even more fierce counterattack, Nakagawa Daiki was momentarily shocked into a cold sweat.

”Sky Flag” clumsily turned to block, stumbling underfoot, the Mecha’s dodging posture from infantry’s lightning palm was as awkward as could be. Even so, ”Sky Flag’s” right shoulder was still grazed by the Green Mecha’s fingertips. A harsh metallic scraping sound resounded, revealing a crescent-shaped gash along ”Sky Flag’s” arm from shoulder to elbow!

Before ”Sky Flag,” which retreated nearly fifty meters, could regain its stance, ”Ranger” had silently slid in, close to the ground like an electric saw, cutting towards ”Sky Flag’s” waist with continuity in its hand movements.

The rotating palms formed an elliptical shadow, the angles of the light shadow constantly shifting, its shape varying between round and flat. Amid the rapid mechanical arms’ transmission rod movements and the Mecha engine’s roar, the audience distinctly saw that the palm trajectory left a residual image on their retinas, resembling a roaring dragon head of light!

The War God Level technique — Long Xiao! — not witnessed in the Black Dragon Sect for forty years!

The battles in arenas one to three had already dazzled the audience, yet the most attention was on arena four, where Phantom Stream genius Mecha Master Cosmo was battling Mars’s Level 1 Mecha War God Kirburn.

Before today, placing these two in the same arena for a duel was a complete joke to every Mars resident. If anyone attempted to use this duel for gambling stakes, no matter how much fortune they had, they would lose it all! The outcome of the match didn’t need predicting. Even those with an IQ below 50 knew whom to bet on!

In fact, the battle initially proceeded along the audience’s predicted trajectory.

The golden shell, with its arms covered in golden dragon paint of ”Brilliance,” showcased neither dazzling nor fierce moves, yet steadily, it left Cosmo, who piloted ”Ranger,” powerless to resist.

The driver of ”Brilliance” was Kirburn, Mars Planet’s top-ranked Level 1 War God!

Countless have faced him.

Their shared feeling was singular — Kirburn was a mountain!

A heavy, uncarryable, lofty, unsurpassable mountain!

His moves never erred, all precise like a textbook! Neither too fast nor slow. Neither overly risky nor too conservative.

When a Sect Mecha facing such a person realizes this commonplace technique, what feelings arise?!

Cosmo is striving to sustain!

. Writing four simultaneous Mecha battles is extremely risky for me; I merely wanted to try it. Updates might slow down somewhat, but I’m sincerely dedicated to writing. I hope after finishing this, everyone can read it through again. In the past, I might have finished writing before publishing, but now, I write as much as I can and post immediately. Wildly seeking recommendation and monthly votes, my ranking has already fallen to a terrifying low.
