Counterfeit Hero

Carolina was at a loss for words.

No matter how biased she was against this Leray fatty, she couldn’t deny the fact that she and the subordinates beside her were saved by the bandit army mecha pilots. At the same time, she also realized that the initial purpose of this group was to save Zhang Pengcheng. If it were only herself in Box No. 1, perhaps... even if that punch from the purple mecha had missed, they would have found a way to hit directly!

She couldn’t understand why Margaret stopped Fatty at this moment, but over this period, Fatty’s actions had already shown that he was not an opponent who would easily submit.

Even though he repeatedly bowed and admitted fault in front of her, it was a complete mockery—he didn’t regard Feiyang at all!

Carolina was an extreme patriot, and in her dictionary, there was only national interest. Because of this, she could make any unreasonable decision—such as trading the Chuckna Fleet for the survival of the Feiyang Fleet. However, this didn’t mean she would foolishly engage in a big fight with Fatty in front of the high-ranking officials of the Chuckna’s Twelfth Fleet and tens of thousands of Mars spectators.

The strength displayed by the bandit army in the arena had already given her a new understanding of this group she had heard so much about even before departing from Feiyang.

This was definitely not a rabble; their combat power absolutely surpassed that of the Feiyang 107 Armored Division under her command! Those legends were more than just hearsay. Fifty of these green mechas and fifty Commander War Gods of a level higher than the four young mech knights in the competition had the power to run rampant in Mars Central City!

Carolina was not lacking in the wisdom to discern situations and weigh interests. She realized that perhaps it was time to change her mindset! At least on Mars, the Leray people had enough strength to win respect. In this battle zone, Fatty’s power and voice could not be ignored. Since suppression was not possible, it might be wise to choose another approach, otherwise Feiyang’s interests would only diminish in internal strife!

”Release Colonel Margaret...” Carolina said calmly, ”You can take anything you want. I won’t pursue today’s matters. General Tian, don’t forget that nominally, I am still your superior!”

”Can’t trust you!” Fatty and Margaret glared at each other.

”It seems...” Unexpectedly, Carolina didn’t get angry. She waved her hand, signaling the surrounding Feiyang soldiers to make way, and looked up at Fatty in the mecha cockpit, ”Some misunderstandings have hindered our mutual trust. General Tian, I hope from now on, we can put aside past grievances and work together. After all, we are all on the same boat.”

”Oh?!” Fatty discovered that compared to Margaret, his eyes were less optimistic in size, so he quickly blinked and turned his head, ”Release her, and we can leave, taking anything we want?!”

”Of course.” Carolina nodded as she turned to look at Zhang Pengcheng, who had already walked nearby.

Fatty also turned to look at Zhang Pengcheng.

Admiral Chuckna had a blank expression, looking like he was uninvolved.

However, Fatty and Margaret both understood that the three-sided Mars forces were already clearly delineated.

Fatty and Zhang Pengcheng were already in alliance due to the ambush of the 1201 Fleet; now, the bandit army had saved Zhang Pengcheng’s life again. Given Zhang Pengcheng’s character, he wouldn’t stand by if anything unfavorable was done against the bandit army in front of him. Fatty understood this, and so did Carolina.

Now, Zhang Pengcheng’s silence, seemingly neutral, had already indicated his stance... The Feiyang Mars Army led by Carolina ultimately could not dominate this Free World.

”See!” Fatty laughed, ”Isn’t this much better? It’s all for the peace and happiness of all humanity, we should all get along peacefully.”

Singing high praises, he let go of Margaret, ”How about it....”

”No way!” Margaret yelled angrily as soon as she was released, ”This mecha you... mmph...”

Fatty grimaced, using the mechanical fingers of the mecha to once again block Margaret’s mouth without hesitation.

The Feiyang soldiers nearby were speechless. It wasn’t that they were angry about the first sexy goddess of the Mars Army being bullied like this, but they were in awe of Fatty’s mechanical control technology.

A mecha weighing between seventy to eighty tons, standing seven meters tall, made mostly of metal components, deftly using a mechanical finger to block a person’s mouth... God, how precise must the control of the mecha be for this to happen?!

Had Fatty used just a bit more force, even if he didn’t crush Margaret’s head, he would have shattered her set of beautiful teeth!

The Feiyang soldiers gawked at their control sticks and virtual keyboards, then looked at Fatty and the four young mech knights beside him, and finally at the few Commander War Gods standing with their hands behind their backs, suddenly feeling a desperate urge to worship.

This is an era of mechas, and they are the people known as mech knights in this era! They have already devoted their entire body and mind to mechas, ever since the first day they became a mechanical warrior, their lives have been connected to their mecha.

How could such people be indifferent to everything the bandit army had shown?!

Many warriors felt in their hearts… If only Feiyang and the bandit army weren’t currently at each other’s throats… wouldn’t that be wonderful! Having finally come to Mars, must they return empty-handed?!
