Counterfeit Hero

It’s about time, the corners of Anmon’s mouth revealed a smug smile. With a flicker, ”Judgement” dodged Baz’s attack, a high side kick aimed straight at the head of the ”Ranger”......

”Boom!”

The ”Ranger” piloted by Baz, though trying to protect itself, was still kicked in the head. The entire mecha spun like a top whipped into the air and crashed into the ”Heaven’s Punishment” Mecha Group.

The stands erupted in a huge uproar.

Even those who don’t understand mechas knew at this moment the terror of this purple ”Lightning Lifting”.

The Leray fatty was still oblivious that the ”Ranger” driven by Baz had its head kicked to pieces. With the head of the mecha combining the sensing system and electronic assistance system kicked like that, it meant this ”Ranger” had completely lost its combat power, leaving only two battered bandit army mechas.

The audience stared at each other in astonishment.

Even with a joint attack by four mechs including Fatty, they were beaten to a pulp by the opponent. How could a symbolic mech squad sent by the Feiyang for guard duty during the fighting tournament possibly contain this purple demon?

With a single kick eliminating Baz, Anmon heard the gasps of shock from all around.

This sound made him feel delighted and at ease. To be able to emerge from a desperate situation, he felt his luck was truly amazing. The remaining two mechas were no longer a major threat to him. That squad of Feiyang mechas, he didn’t even consider them a concern. To kill all the mechas possibly couldn’t be done, but escaping would be a piece of cake. Even if the Feiyang people had mobilized the armored division at the onset of the attack, it would be too late now!

Just when he was floating on air, contemplating whether to destroy the target or take the target hostage first, and what rewards he might receive upon returning to Binart, suddenly, the gasps around him abruptly stopped.

Something’s wrong! Anmon’s heart jolted with shock, the mecha instinctively kicked a leg.

”Judgement” had just leapt up when its form suddenly halted.

A figure, like a ghost, entangled with ”Judgement”. Two mechanical hands like ghost claws rummaged around the purple mecha, and with a series of crackling sounds, several large holes were peeled open in the shell of the purple mecha in an instant, and circuitry boards, chips, and similar components, fell like raindrops to the ground.

Completely unaware of what was happening, Anmon suddenly lost contact with the mecha.

Before he could react, a brightness flashed before his eyes, and the mecha’s chest shell had been lifted open, a mechanical hand nimbly caught his control cabin and forcefully pulled it out.

The human-shaped control cabin, like a coffin, with torn wires and an activity balance rod, was tossed to the ground.

Disconnected from the consciousness with the mecha, Anmon reflexively twisted the self-destruct knob, but all around was silent, nothing happened. Removing the control glasses, through the transparent control cabin cover, he saw that ”Ranger”, with a big hole in its abdomen, squatting in front of him, studying him while resting its chin on its hands.

Anmon’s heart sank to the bottom......

”Hey....”

The entire audience dumbfoundedly listened to the voice from the mecha, the voice of Fatty, laced with indescribable surprise: ”Come on everybody, take a look, this guy’s head is made of iron, hey!”
