Counterfeit Hero

A series of techniques emerged from the Golden Mecha, embodying the essence of various major sects, yet surpassing them by far. The spectators were left dazzled!

When the final technique appeared, reminiscent of dragons and serpents flying and beasts battling, everyone gasped in unison! Bridge Man and the Black Dragon Sect mech knights felt their world spinning.

The Black Dragon Sect, a top ten mechanical sect known for its beast-shaped mecha techniques, witnessed these techniques performed by a human-shaped mecha, and its agility and ferocity surpassed even that of Bridge Man, who piloted beast-shaped mechas!

Is there any need to continue the competition?

A Mingxin Sect disciple gently patted the shoulder of a nearby bandit soldier.

The bandit soldier turned back in surprise, only to see the Mingxin Sect mech knight still staring dumbfounded at the golden mecha in the center of the field.

”What are you doing?” The bandit soldier frowned.

”Brother!” The Mingxin Sect disciple’s gaze remained vacant, and his mouth twitched continuously. ”Did you have to undergo that infantry military training when you joined the bandit army?”

”From now on, we are comrades, so I won’t hide anything from you!” The bandit soldier turned his head: ”What infantry... that Fatty trained us to the standards of Special Soldiers.”

In June 2063, no one paid attention to the Free World, which was still outside the main theatre of war.

That month, major upheavals occurred in the political landscape of Leray.

On the early morning of June 7, several congressmen were assassinated.

On the same day, with the support of the opposition party, four army generals stationed in the capital launched a coup. The rebels surrounded the Presidential Palace and the Supreme Command Department. President Hamilton was imprisoned, Admiral Mihailovich was detained, and Russell fled.

Subsequently, more than a dozen high-ranking military generals, led by Admiral Chester Hansford, suddenly announced obedience to the joint orders of the Progressive Society and two other parties. Hundreds of former military leaders were secretly arrested and detained.

Under the joint nomination of the three parties, Progressive Society leader Brody stepped into the spotlight, forcibly dissolving the Senate and House of Representatives, and established an emergency council to temporarily manage government affairs. They quickly sent envoys to negotiate with the Western Alliance.

This coup in the capital quickly affected the entire Federation, except for the Bermuda Star System, spreading to the remaining twelve states and the Leray Army.

The second, third, fourth, seventh, and tenth fleets stationed in the Central Leray Star Domain declared that they would not accept the coup or the leadership of Brody and Hansford, and would not turn their weapons on civilians. All soldiers would continue to hold their positions at the space jump points in resistance.

The seven states and stationed troops and fleets in the Galileo Star System and Newton Star System announced that they would not accept Brody’s leadership and demanded the release of Hamilton and Mihailovich, as well as the other detained generals.

While chaos ensued in Leray, the Southeastern Star Domain also experienced a series of significant events.

On May 5, the joint forces of the Tatania Commercial Alliance and the Puditok Federation suffered heavy losses in Desic, forcing a retreat. Desic pursued with vigor, capturing the Oasis Star System of Tatania on June 7 and the Puditok Rhine River Star System on June 8.

Likewise, on June 7, the Saleria Federation was pressured by the Suss Empire to sign an agreement allowing the mining rights of the Longbow Star Domain and permitting Suss corporations and businesses to settle on Blue Stone Star. Regional security would be managed by the Suss Empire, which also held judicial authority on Blue Stone Star.

The more troubling news was the intensifying war between the Ryan Republic and the Naga Federation, reaching a critical juncture. The Naga Federation continuously retreated under the attack of the Ryan Republic, losing two crucial star systems. As a result, the Binart Empire had to intervene with aid.

With Binart intervening, the Feiyang Republic simultaneously increased its support for the Ryan Republic and harassment of the Karsdon Star River. Although there has been no direct confrontation yet, the combat forces deployed at the junction of the Southeastern Star Domain, the Naga battlefield, and the core of the Karsdon Star River account for 20% of total troop strength. Effectively, the war has already begun.

Lastly, it is noteworthy that this month, the Chuckna Republic secretly began reenforcing their forces in the Resk battle zone, preparing to reclaim the main route to Leray. Due to the internal situation in Leray, a newly formed secret fleet was ready to break through to Chuckna.
