Counterfeit Hero

Kolev is dead.

He lay on the ground, with both hands and one foot broken, bones exposed starkly. His right ribcage was completely collapsed, broken ribs piercing his lungs, causing blood foam to bubble at the corners of his mouth.

The fatal blow was to his left ribs. Under the horrified or pleased gaze of bystanders, Fatty slowly, meticulously pushed the fighting dagger into Kolev, piercing his heart as Kolev’s open mouth twisted in agony. Blood first flooded his chest cavity, then sprayed wildly as the dagger was withdrawn.

For the scientists of the Black Devil Studio, nothing felt more gratifying than such an execution. They nearly gritted their teeth, staring unblinkingly as Fatty drove the dagger into Kolev’s chest until the hilt disappeared, watching intently as Kolev’s legs kicked on the ground, before finally falling silent.

Folman’s clothes were drenched in cold sweat. His eyes twitched uncontrollably, darting back and forth at the bandit soldiers standing coldly nearby.

Folman noticed that whether it was the four warriors who attacked Kolev or Fatty’s actions, the bandit soldiers didn’t even flinch. As he was horrified by Kolev’s grisly end, these warriors merely watched indifferently, their expressions blank. Their gazes were unwavering.

Folman couldn’t describe the shock in his heart. This was what elite meant. Compared to these ruthless and unblinking warriors, Kolev, once seen as ruthless and ferocious, seemed like a pig waiting to be slaughtered! Kolev’s final pleading made Folman feel utterly humiliated.

Now, that idiot lay before him, lifeless, eyes wide open, mouth agape. His expression was the best explanation of arrogance turning into helpless submission.

Folman believed that even if these bandit soldiers were one day in Kolev’s dire situation, they would never kneel and beg for mercy. They were true wolves. Any enemy seeing their cold eyes would only consider killing them quickly. No one would dare give them any chance.

Folman’s fearful gaze fell on Fatty. He couldn’t imagine what kind of monster could train such warriors. He only knew that the bandit soldiers’ icy gazes only changed when they fell on Fatty, showing absolute obedience and admiration.

Looking back at the twenty disarmed Youth Party armed personnel with fearful eyes, Folman couldn’t help but shiver. The most important thing now was to quickly send these killing gods away.

Wiping the blood off his hands, Fatty strapped the fighting dagger to his waist, looking at Belchi with eyes filled with idol-like excitement. He grasped Belchi’s hands and excitedly said, ”Mr. Belchi, come with me to the vast land of Puluo Town, I will rebuild your laboratory!”

Saying this, Fatty glanced at the group of scientists around him, pounding his chest loudly and confidently said, ”I guarantee, once there, you can conduct any research you want! Absolutely no need to worry about safety and other issues.”

The scientists exchanged glances, and in their eyes, one could see only a burning determination!

What else was there to say? Not only did they travel two hundred kilometers, breaking through several strongholds, just by killing Kolev they had no reason to refuse! Moreover, the thought of joining this group had already ignited their passion.

Belchi immediately said to Fatty, ”As long as you don’t mind us being a burden! From today, everyone here is a member of the bandit army!”

Belchi’s words earned nods from the usually unruly scientific monsters. The young researchers and staff couldn’t help but stand at attention, as if from this moment, they were already part of this elite group!

”Good!” That’s what Fatty had been waiting for. Excitedly, he waved his hand and ordered, ”Pack all laboratory equipment, tools, materials, and products! Not a single piece of paper left behind!”

The bandit soldiers responded and moved, causing chaos in the studio. The scientists clearly saw that the moment Fatty gave the order, the eyes of the previously ice-cold bandit soldiers suddenly burned with fervor.

Ten minutes! In just ten minutes, everyone stood foolishly in the studio. Looking around, they couldn’t believe this was their studio!

Originally filled with various equipment and instruments, the studio was now empty. The instruments were moved, the wiring uprooted, the anti-static flooring pried up, cabinets, parts, tools, and even personal items like cups and beds were all packed. The microwave lights from the ceiling, calendars, and posters from the walls were also taken down. Not a piece of paper left. The disciplined bandit soldiers even swept the room... there wasn’t even any dust left!
