Counterfeit Hero

At this moment, using this powerful force with Fei Alliance’s background to restore the traditional pattern of sect rule in the Mars Free World, preventing the Mingxin Sect from being annexed or disintegrated, had become Sade’s most practical choice.

In this game, the price the Mingxin Sect paid was nothing more than becoming a part of the bandit army, just like other sects such as the Phantom Stream! Sade already understood this when he saw the hundred and twenty sect mechas following the black mechs in a long-distance raid on Silicon Valley. He was a sensible man, knowing what he wanted to gain and what he needed to give.

However, because he saw it so clearly, Sade called the three major sects, including the Black Dragon Sect, with whom he had a relatively good relationship.

His intention in gathering the three major sects was to bind everyone together, increasing their weight in the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance, making the Fei Alliance understand that they were far more useful and important than the Phantom Stream and the so-called New Tai Sect that lacked core techniques!

Sade didn’t want the Mingxin Sect to be just a regular bandit army member. On the contrary, he believed that as long as the four great schools united, they should lead the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. He even thought further—when the war ended and the three major sects vanished, the Mingxin Sect, originally ranked fourth, would undoubtedly become the top sect!

Now, what he needed to do was secure their position in the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance, establish connections with the Fei Alliance, and control the situation in his hands. In this series of calculations, Sade was even ready to take over the leadership of Puluo Town, waiting for the weapons and other support from the Fei Alliance.

But what he didn’t expect was that upon arriving here, the Fatty who kicked his Puluo Branch and was apparently sent by the Fei Alliance to the frontline with a hundred and twenty mechas as cannon fodder, directly threw him out just because of a slightly impolite question about Old Smith!

He didn’t meet the people behind the Fei Alliance or reach any agreements to change the situation for the four major schools. Leaving like this, he would not only become a laughingstock among the major sects, but also have no way to explain to the other three sects!

After missing this opportunity, the four major schools would become enemies with the bandit army, not friends. Not only would they not improve their current situation, but they would also add a hair-raising enemy. For the four major schools now, it would be a case of being too smart for their own good and making things worse.

Who would bear this responsibility?

For a moment, new grudges and old resentments mixed with anxiety and calculations, rolling ceaselessly in Sade’s mind. His eyes flickered as he stared at the training room door, caught in a dilemma.

Sade’s embarrassment didn’t last long. Soon, Fatty swaggered out of the training room with two elders.

”Looking at me for what?” Fatty’s expression was that of a bully landlord, and no good words came out of his mouth: ”Old man, what’s wrong, not convinced?”

Hearing Fatty’s words, Old Smith almost fainted. He originally thought that when Sade and the others were kicked out of the training room, Fatty had signaled to him and Geoffrey to follow him out to give Sade a step down. Who knew this rude Fatty would add fuel to the fire instead of letting it go.

Only Geoffrey, who hadn’t said a word throughout, looked calm, as if it didn’t matter to him what Fatty did or what consequences it caused.

”Tian Xingjian, Major General, a hero renowned in Leray, turned out to be such a reckless youth.” The speaker was Bridge Man, standing beside Sade.

Bridge Man, thin with thick black eyebrows and a broad forehead, was known for his wit among various sect masters. He looked at Fatty and spoke in a calm voice: ”Your actions are adding enemies for the Fei Alliance. I find it hard to believe that Sect Master Sade’s slightly impolite tone is worth such a fuss, especially when we came to discuss cooperation!”

”Oh, you all know me?” Fatty raised his eyebrows in surprise, then sneered: ”But your information is outdated. I have been promoted from Major General to Colonel! Just because I found an allied Vice Admiral of the Feiyang Republic unpleasant, so I gave him a beating!”

Fatty bragged casually, looking not the least bit ashamed but rather proud: ”I have always repaid a foot with an inch. If anyone goes against me, I will exact revenge. I never consider the consequences. I’m just a soldier who fights, not a politician!”

Hearing Fatty’s words, Sade and the others exchanged glances and felt a sinking feeling in their hearts.

Thinking back on Fatty’s actions since arriving at Mars Free Port, he indeed did as he said, never considering the consequences!

For nothing else, just his decision to kill and cripple Monroe and other core disciples of the Tai Sect and dump them in front of the Mechanical Armor Hall to make a statement, clearly showed his boldness. Obviously, at that time, Fatty was fighting for control of the Tai Sect Puluo Branch! His methods were so straightforward it left people stunned—anyone who got in his way, he would simply destroy, regardless of who they were, even if it was Monroe, on his very first day in office!

Since deciding to come to Puluo Town, the four major schools had already reached a tacit understanding and discussed various countermeasures.

They were not afraid of encountering politicians. No matter how cunning those politicians were, they couldn’t escape the word ’interest.’ In such people’s eyes, it was easier to see the value of the four major schools and more beneficial to the four major schools leading the Sect Mutual Aid Alliance. What they feared was someone like Fatty who did things based on whims and didn’t consider consequences! How could they discuss interests and reason with such a person?
