Counterfeit Hero

Markovich took the order and left, and Fatty was so stirred up by the sudden news that he couldn’t settle down to work.

If the speculation is correct, this Saleria Fleet adrift in the Free World would be the greatest aid to the bandit army! But, how to tie this fleet to the bandit army’s war chariot is a tricky problem.

If Old Tolstoy were still alive, Fatty would have dared to let Chekov go directly to them. But now, no one knows who is leading this fleet, what their plans are, or their attitude towards former Fei Alliance allies.

Moreover, the fleet’s current situation absolutely does not allow for any exposure. In their eyes, there is no one trustworthy in the Free World, and any battleship that appears within their sight is most likely to be destroyed by them without hesitation.

When a well-trained vicious hunting dog turns into a wild dog lost in a jungle of survival of the fittest, no one can control it. The current Saleria Fleet, having lost its spiritual leader and faith, is a vicious wild dog! They might attack anyone!

Fatty, like a pig trapped in a cage, paced back and forth in the office, howling and unable to make up his mind!

After much hesitation, Fatty decided to go out for a walk. Anyway, in half an hour, it would be time for him to instruct the bandit army’s 3rd Group on Mechanical Control training. Moreover, the newly settled scientific monsters needed more attention. He might as well check on the results of leading the bandit army on a long raid.

The labs they received from Silicon Valley were all settled in. Fatty had fenced off the entire second district as the headquarters for these scientific personnel.

Every day, Fatty would stroll around the second district, like a miser inspecting his treasure trove!

Those who followed to Puluo Town had all joined the bandit army.

Now, their formation was the bandit army’s logistics research department.

Fatty’s terms were very lenient. At the banquet welcoming the establishment of the logistics research department, he only said a few words to those scientific monsters.

”If the bandit army can ensure your safety and let you research without obstacles, then you are the first to the eleventh research labs of the bandit army logistics research department. If one day this army fails, then you are the private research lab of Puluo Town. I need your results, but I won’t drag you into the war! You are humanity’s most valuable asset. Your value lies in your wisdom, and any act endangering your lives is a crime against all humanity!”

At that time, after hearing Fatty’s words, the scientific monsters said nothing. They quietly wrote down their names and resumes on the logistics research department’s formation list.

”You are humanity’s most valuable asset!”

Just this sentence was enough for the scientific monsters to decide to join the bandit army! In this world, there are many who revere them as masters and many who tolerate their quirks. But only one person could become their kindred spirit with a single sentence!

Only one who could dash 200 kilometers for a studio, even at the cost of opposing everyone!

Fatty’s demeanor at that time was very calm. He had long known this would be the outcome. Every time he flattered Boswell, this sentence would make Boswell instantly dizzy!

For scientists of this kind, they pursue science and truth. They don’t care about right or wrong. In a hundred years or a thousand years, all disputes would have faded into smoke, and what would be passed down to future generations would be only science and truth.

Only human civilization!

Since the research department was established, each lab conducting its own research would naturally have a project targeting the bandit army. To Fatty, it’s better to give these monsters more tasks rather than letting them idle and study why women have hymens.

Although he was also very curious about the project listed in some lab’s research list, after all, that thing was useless in war, wasn’t it?

After returning to Puluo Town, Fatty spent two whole days reviewing the research directories provided by each lab and studio.

It was only then that Fatty truly realized the strength of these scientific monsters from the Free World. He also recognized what a great bargain he had gotten!

Although in terms of weaponry, the Mars scientific community was inherently deficient, in other areas, these scientific monsters more than lived up to their reputations as masters. Their bizarre researches were, in Fatty’s view, nothing short of a massive treasure trove!

The magnetic instrument goes without saying; it was already the bandit army’s top secret. What excited Fatty just as much were the projects named Optical deflection device and Miniature Interference Flying Device.

The Optical deflection device was a research project that Stone Chengling, Belchi’s friend, had spent many years on and was now in the late research stage. Its function was to guide light around the protected object, thereby achieving invisibility.

This concept had existed and been successfully developed on ancient Earth, but with modern optical detection instruments becoming more advanced, old methods could no longer effectively deceive them. However, Stone Chengling’s research aimed to surpass all modern detection instruments.
