Counterfeit Hero

As Helen exclaimed, Fatty angrily jumped from the third-floor window directly into the training ground.

”Stealing people?!”

Everyone was startled by Fatty jumping into the training ground.

Did the officer eat gunpowder?

A group of recruits stared wide-eyed and open-mouthed at the nearly twenty-meter high third-floor window, unable to believe it.

What is that, a flying pig?

”Bandit Army 3rd Group, Sharp Blade Company! Assemble!” Markovich ordered sternly. As for Fatty’s orders, he had only one attitude—execute immediately!

With Markovich’s command, one hundred and seventeen bandit soldiers swiftly crossed the training ground and boarded the [Heng Dao] Mechas on the tarmac. After a roar of Mecha engines and the sound of mechanical stretch and expansion, the Sharp Blade Company was assembled.

In the training ground, there were gazes of fanaticism everywhere.

Everyone had seen the Puluo Town battle not long ago and had a deep impression of these more than one hundred black Mechas. Now experiencing it up close made their blood boil. In the eyes of everyone, there was only one word to describe these warriors—ferocious!

Lightning-fast movements, an impeccable formation. The pitch-black steel bodies exuded the silent killing intent of warriors long honed by countless battles.

They stood in front of the furious Fatty, filled with a suppressed explosive force. Seeing them, everyone had a feeling that if Fatty pointed his finger, these ferocious beast-like Mecha warriors would surge forth like a flood, tearing their opponents to pieces!

In the field, all training subconsciously stopped. All eyes were focused on the more than one hundred [Heng Dao] Mechas.

As Fatty was about to board his Mecha, he noticed the envious look in the eyes of the civilians being trained as Mech Knights toward [Heng Dao]. He had a thought and waved his hand, saying: ”Cosmo...”

”Here!” Cosmo was stunned for a moment, then stood at attention and responded loudly.

”Baz, Weiseler, Thomas.”

”Here!”

”Here!”

”Here!”

The three of them swiftly stepped out from their respective training squads.

”Each of you lead thirty men, board the Mechas, and follow me!”

”Yes!”

The overjoyed Cosmo and others immediately turned red-faced, shouting as they selected the highest-ranking Mech Knights from their squads, swarmed to the tarmac to start their private Mechas, and quickly and neatly lined up behind the one hundred and seventeen [Heng Dao].

Although these private Mechas had different colors, most of them were characteristic Sect Mechas of the two major sects, with fairly uniform models. Coupled with the rigorous training, the formation was neat and silent, giving an impression of elite forces.

Amidst the envious looks of other Mech Knights and recruits, the selected Mech Knights were proud, their hearts pounding with excitement as if they could almost jump out of their chests.

Fatty jumped onto [Heng Dao] and pulled the control lever. With a piercing engine whine, the Mecha suddenly shot up into the air and darted out like a flash.

”Follow!”

With Fatty’s command, two hundred thirty-seven Mechas rose in unison, leaping over the high ruins of the First Avenue District like meteors. The tide of figures leapt, Mechas roared, and moments later, they sped off like a whirlwind.

A dead silence hit the field.

”Continue training!” With a command, civilian Mech Knights immediately dived into the mud, crawling, running, and squatting, making the training ground lively again.

Meanwhile, the hundreds of new recruits stood tall with their chests out, trying to straighten up as much as possible, their eyes filled with a fervent desire.

The elite of the bandit army were heading towards the northwestern Master Valley of Central City.

The bandit army had already crossed the Twin Castle Bridge to the east.

The bandit army was approaching the Southern Silicon Valley New District.

.....

The messages, through hidden sentries and various channels, were rapidly spreading.

Three major sects, the Northern Alliance, and the splintered factions and Mecha sects—all were nervously watching the sudden movements of the bandit army in Puluo Town.

Since the Puluo Town battle, the newly established Sect Mutual Aid Alliance and its bandit army, which raised the bandit flag with drums, had become famous in one battle, emerging as a formidable force in Mars’ chaos.

Naturally, any move of the bandit army drew attention. Observing, hating, and rejoicing, various gazes constantly fell on this place.

However, while the messages were swiftly exchanged, people just paid attention.

The Three Major Schools were preoccupied and couldn’t interfere with Puluo Town. The minor splintered forces were well aware of their capabilities.

Who knows what those bastards hid in the skyscrapers of Puluo Town? Even a highly combative quasi-military Mecha group of the deeply hidden Northern Alliance was annihilated. Charging in now might get them buried alive! Since the Northern Alliance didn’t act, others would stay back and watch.

This was the thought of most people. As for Selwal of the Northern Commerce Alliance, the time for attacking Puluo Town hadn’t yet come, nor could he deploy enough forces.

Initially, he only intended to use a Mecha group to startle the hidden Fei Alliance forces.

Unexpectedly, not only did the Fei Alliance forces not get exposed, but they annihilated a full regiment of the Northern Alliance in Puluo Town with just over a hundred Mechas!

Despite the bitter taste, Selwal had no choice but to swallow it!
