Counterfeit Hero

Whether it is the naked eye, infrared, or a space telescope, electronic long-range viewer, none can discern the light distortion of this device. Even when a laser beams directly onto a protected object, what is seen is a beam passing straight through, as if the target does not exist at all.

This instrument, deriving from optical Illusion Technique, quickly piqued Fatty’s interest. As a soldier, he deeply understood the advantage of invisibility on the battlefield. In this era where technology reigns supreme, an invention can change the outcome of a war!

And to contend with superpowers so powerful they’re unbeatable, the bandit army, lacking sturdy ships and powerful artillery, can only rely on this wisdom from the civilian populace! The guerrilla warfare tactic against the Imperial Army is— you have airplanes and cannons, I have landmines and tunnels!

The other Miniature Interference Flying Device was developed by a research lab named Clover. This interference device can be launched like a torpedo or missile, with each launch capable of dispatching thousands of units. Each interference device is only as large as a glass marble, and when deployed, it’s no bigger than a small saucer.

However, despite its tiny size, it’s fully equipped. This interference device is fitted with a miniature engine that can capture particles in the cosmos to power itself, and it can also utilize solar energy. Its interference intensity increases cumulatively. A single interference source might be subtle, but thousands of these devices within a missile coalesce into a mesh interference source, enough to blockade the entire combat zone.

Most importantly, in modern warfare, electronic attack ships, early warning ships, and command ships are prioritized targets for destruction. But these tiny and dispersed interference devices, if in sufficient number, cannot be destroyed swiftly.

Coupled with their ease of use, good concealment, and low cost, they are extremely practical for militia organizations like the bandit army.

Fatty walked through the corridor and glanced into the Director’s room as he passed by.

Helen was setting up a camera at the living room window, filming the everyday training of the bandit army in the training ground below.

The sunlight streamed in from outside, warm and soft, shedding light on Helen’s silky blonde hair and exquisite, beautiful face. From a side view, the tiny hairs on the girl’s face and earlobes glistened in the sunlight. Her neck and the bare skin on her arms were especially alluring, inviting imaginations of the splendid sight of her prominent breasts beneath the thin cashmere sweater and the round, shapely buttocks within the tight jeans.

Fatty swallowed his saliva. His eyeballs almost popped out but still couldn’t see through Helen’s clothes. After straining for a while, his eyes were tired. He had no choice but to dejectedly head downstairs towards the training ground, contemplating when to get the guy researching hymen to assemble a viewer!

Helen glanced at the shot aimed at the door and sighed quietly. Her pounding heart still couldn’t calm down, and she shyly touched her face, which had grown hot.

That Fatty’s gaze was really lecherous!

”Bandit No.21, port rudder at 1700 marks, Level 3 speed, attack the enemy fleet’s rear right flank, fire and run, don’t let them stick to you!”

”Bandit No.21 understood!”

”Watchwind No.6, follow behind Bandit No.21, intermittent electronic attack, don’t expose all your power, just let their communications get a bit disrupted.”

”Watchwind No.6 understood!”

”Fierce Bandit No.17, Fierce Bandit No.19, Bandit No. 23, head directly to spatial region 22, coordinates 1453.3048.983.22, once the enemy fleet finishes jump, launch attacks immediately, compel them to gather and regroup. Then turn rudder at 3000 marks, and scatter and escape.”

”Fierce Bandit No.17 understood!”

”Fierce Bandit No.19 understood!”

”Bandit No.23 understood!”

The communicator buzzed with responses. Barbarossa stood upright at the bridge, swiftly issuing orders. If it weren’t for the cigar in his hand and his habit of using some crude language occasionally, no one would believe this officer in the bandit army uniform was once the top leader of the Redbeard Pirate Group.

Barbarossa never thought that after half his life, he would end up like this.

If he once felt sorrowful about falling into Fatty’s hands, now Barbarossa only felt fortunate— in his command computer, there’s a list of all the pirate groups large and small in the Freedom Channel! This would soon be the target of the bandit army fleet! If another pirate had been captured, perhaps the current outlook for the Redbeard Pirate Group wouldn’t have been so promising!

Having stayed in the bandit army for long and seen a lot, Barbarossa now considered himself a member of the bandit army! As a veteran pirate who’s roamed the cosmos for decades, the most confident thing about Barbarossa was his judgment! He believed he wouldn’t misjudge!

If Redbeard Pirates were merely raiding for survival, then under Fatty’s leadership, the growing bandit army could plunder the entire Free World!

Speaking of plundering, Barbarossa once thought he was adept, but now, the actions of the First Fleet under Chekov’s leadership, and the list of captured materials from the base, had completely broadened his horizons.

The Redbeard Pirate Group’s yearly haul was less than what Chekov’s fleet seizes in a week.
