Beneath the Red Dragon

The sunlight poured from the crystal dome embedded with various gemstones atop the castle, illuminating the entire hall of the Dragon Castle. The Red Dragon lazily sprawled its limbs out, lying on the smooth floor like a cat cooling itself in the summer.

Its broad wings were spread out lazily like curtains, occupying the entire view of the hall. In contrast, the Black Stone Throne standing tall at the back of the hall seemed far less astounding.

Occasionally, small flickers of flame would appear and disappear along the fiery patterns on the wings of the Red Dragon, reflecting its massive and robust body on the dark, smoothly polished floor.

The Giant Dragon King’s Castle, which had taken years to build, was finally completed. Karon spent most of his daytime in this royal castle, much like mortal emperors who always stayed in their royal palaces.

Karon’s fierce and majestic head rested on the ground, savoring the rare moments of refreshment and leisure.

To the left, a beautiful and voluptuous Elf Maid wearing a floral skirt that just reached her thighs was perched, crossing her fleshy long legs while holding a large silver platter intricately carved with patterns.

The silver platter contained a variety of fruits—ice-cooled watermelon slices, specially cultivated lychees, plump crystal grapes, fragrant oranges, and more.

At this moment, these fruits were being fed by the long, slender, and delicate fingers of the Elf Maid to the Red Dragon, who was enjoying the life of a lord.

Karon didn’t like fruits that needed peeling, but as long as he didn’t have to do it himself, he liked all fruits.

A few other alluring yet slender, petite, or uniquely charming Elf Maids were kneeling barefoot on the Red Dragon’s body, using top-quality silk cloths to wipe the dragon’s scales, and then using specially designed brushes for dragon scales to clean the skin in between them.

This sensation felt like some kind of massage to the Giant Dragon, making Karon squint his eyes comfortably.

There were also several equally beautiful Human Maids, continuously adding desserts to the dragon’s fruit platter or tending to the rooms in this massive castle, including the bedrooms and studies, performing daily cleaning, dusting, and maintenance.

Like the Elf Maids, these Human Maids each had distinctive charms based on their beauty.

Some were notable for their pair of white, slender, and graceful hands, others for their jade-like skin, and some for their charming, tender, and pink feet.

Some drew attention with their graceful sway as they walked, while others captivated with their naturally alluring eyes, unlike those who deliberately flaunted themselves every moment.

From this perspective, Karon undoubtedly appreciated the aesthetics of a Giant Dragon. In contrast, Karon, unlike other Dragons, was more attentive to discovering diverse and unique beauties.

Karon never concealed himself and faced his nature candidly. Apart from the Red Dragon’s preference for beauty, intrinsically, he had a sort of collection obsession.

From some of his behaviors, it could be seen that, as long as he fancied something, he would always enjoy collecting varied items to satisfy himself.

However, even though a batch of maidservants had been supplemented, because this Dragon Castle was built extensively for the Giant Dragon’s lifestyle and rest, relying on only twenty maidservants was insufficient to accomplish such a vast task.

Therefore, maintaining most parts of the castle still relied on a large number of Kobolds, requiring as many as two hundred Kobolds just for the castle’s daily maintenance.

These maidservants mainly served as Red Dragon’s personal attendants, providing the luxurious life of a lord for the Red Dragon, taking care of the Red Dragon’s daily life.

This included instructing the Half-Elf in the kitchen to prepare the colossal-sized dinner according to the Giant Dragon’s dietary schedule and bringing snacks, fruits, hot tea, and desserts to the Giant Dragon at scheduled times.

Additionally, they conveyed messages and communicated the will and instructions of the Giant Dragon to various departments and institutions of the Giant Dragon’s dependents and territory, as well as summoning those the dragon intended to meet.

Currently overseeing these maidservants and appointed by Karon as the Lady-in-Waiting, was a Human Maid, Charlize.

Charlize was a Count’s daughter, whose entire family, after losing a war, had its remaining women and children captured and sold as slaves in the Dragon Group Territory.

Because they were noblewomen knowledgeable in etiquette and knowledge, this batch of slaves carried a rather high price.

Coincidentally, the Governor of the Golden City, Ogre Giantess Fafner, knew that the Dragon needed attendants, so she purchased these slaves at a hefty price and sent them to the King’s Castle for Karon to select from.

In fact, having noble girls familiar with etiquette serve as attendant maidservants is a common practice among many noble lords.

Furthermore, with the disintegration of the Gata Empire in the Northern Continent, those nobles who were previously in cooperative relationships have started fighting fiercely for their own interests and the desire to expand.

Especially since the influential High-level Mage Association had gradually shifted its focus to the Dragon Group Territory, fully cooperating with the Giant Dragons. The conflicts among noble lords in the Northern Continent have increasingly intensified, with the territories of three Counts and several Barons being successively annexed, leading to the downfall of their families.

Consequently, many people have migrated to the Giant Dragon Territory to escape war, surpassing even the number migrating to the Dragon Group Territory through slave trade, making the human residents in the Giant Dragon Territory one of the major races now, second only in number to the Elves.

The Lady-in-Waiting Charlize was in the maidservants’ quarters of the King’s Castle’s back garden, training other maids on etiquette and dress requirements, while Ogre Giantess Fafner, temporarily substituting for the yet-to-become-acquainted Lady-in-Waiting with the territorial circumstances, was kneeling at the other side of the Red Dragon, sitting opposite the Elf Maid feeding the Red Dragon.
