Beneath the Red Dragon

Flame Demons usually inhabit the inner walls of volcanoes, carving out their homes, and the erupting magma and sulfur-rich minerals are among the energy and food sources for Flame Demons.

These Demons can also use the flames, magma, and sulfur minerals from volcanic eruptions as their nutritional supplements, transforming the scorching energy into their own power and evolution opportunities.

Moreover, to a certain extent, they are similar to Giant Dragons, forming a close connection with their surrounding environment.

Thus, Karon also likes to collect the bloodline of Flame Demons, even though his laboratory already has many.

But the Array etched onto the ground is still operating, autonomously activating summoning signals under the charging of the Magic Crystal.

A pure Soul Crystal is placed next to this complex Summoning Array as bait to attract Demons who prefer this pure Soul Energy.

This was purchased by Karon from the Mages because all of his stock had long been used to refine the Giant Dragon Hall, a Magical Alchemy Creation.

And beneath Karon’s feet, two still chubby snake cubs appeared weak and listless.

Lazily wandering around Karon’s feet, the snake cubs whose blood had been drained looked greedily at the blood containing countless Magic Energy.

Although the two snake cubs had grown significantly during this period, they still maintained their newborn form, which is one of the abilities of these Titan Demon Python cubs.

Perhaps they’ve realized that only by maintaining this appearance would they receive more affection and tolerance from Karon.

Furthermore, since they inherited some of Karon’s Power of Heart Energy, without activating his Eye of Truth, Karon would find it difficult to see through the true form of the two snake cubs with just the eyes of an Dragon.

”Sssslurp,”

More obedient than his brother Grinek, Haninek quietly retracts his drool with his snake tongue.

He looks at the unresponsive Summoning Magic Array and quietly says to Karon, ”Dad, has this Magic Array failed? It’s been a long time without any activity!”

”Dad, what’s being summoned this time?” The other snake cub, the greedy Grinek, stretches out his pinkish tongue, lifts his round head, his shiny round pupils full of desire.

”Can I eat it? The last Four-armed Snake Demon tasted great.”

Karon buries himself in his observations, too lazy to pay attention to these two little guys, knowing that if he opens his mouth, these two noisy little ones would certainly chatter on endlessly with questions.

Karon observes the blood reaction in the Magic Vessel while distractedly browsing a book on the table, borrowed from the white-haired old Mage Lapus, titled ”Igverf’s Revised Demon Chronicles.”

”Oh, Dad, there’s movement,” the soft-voiced snake cub Haninek suddenly shouts joyfully, a stream of shiny drool slides unwittingly from the corner of his mouth.

Karon pauses his experiment and turns around, smiling at the glowing Summoning Magic Array.

Somewhere within the infinitely distant Abyss, no one knows which layer it is, as Flame Demons are generally distributed across various layers of the Abyss.

In this layer of the Abyss lies a hot volcanic region.

Countless fumes of magma and sulfur gases rise from the magma lakes dotting the volcanic area, reducing the visibility of the entire volcanic region by two levels.

Many Flame Demons live in this volcanic region, with varying strengths.

There are both powerful and relatively weak ones, but they typically do not exceed the Saint Tier Level, as Demons are not classified using human grading.

Flame Demons that evolve to higher levels will choose to leave this area for broader worlds.

For example, some powerful Balrog Flame Demons will choose to challenge the local Little Demon Lord, becoming the new Demon Lord.

Successful Balrog Flame Demons will choose to return to their place of origin, taking their birthplace’s horde as their minions and warriors.

Currently, many Flame Demons covered in scorching flames emitting high temperatures are surrounding a special Summoning Space Node hesitantly.

These Demons, with eyes as hot as magma, exuding intense wildness and power, with strong builds and bodies displaying Magic Patterns like flowing lava, now hesitate, unlike before when they fiercely competed upon sensing a summoning from the Main Plane.

”The aura from the other side is indeed from a Main Plane, but slightly different from the previous coordinate aura,”

A tall Flame Demon with twisted ram horns cautiously probes towards the summoning node, not rushing to respond to the summons.

”Last time Ai Luo said the same thing, but never returned, along with other disappearing Flame Demons responding to the summon from the Main Plane within this timeframe,”

A rough and short Flame Demon grumbled, the Demon language naturally carrying an inherent evil tone, though the content does not match this aura.

”However, this time there are definitely good things over there; I smell especially pure Souls’ scent, which intoxicates me. Surely it’s not like the previous evil Mage,”

Another Flame Demon with bull-like thick curved horns squeezed forward, drooling with excitement.

Unable to contain his longing, he actively responded to the otherworldly summons, and his figure instantly vanished from this realm.

”Ha ha ha, I am indeed clever; looks like the benefits are mine this time,”

The next moment, this Flame Demon emerges from the Magic Summoning Array, the pure Soul Crystal Stone nearby exuding an indescribable allure, capturing this Flame Demon’s total attention.

He completely fails to notice the few greedy eyes beside him watching him, akin to cats seeing a mouse, eyes sparkling brightly.

”Ah, indeed a rich Mage, speak, what is your request? What do you seek to gain? I, the great Flame Demon, shall... shall,”

This Flame Demon turns and sees the joy-filled gaze of Karon and the greedy snake cubs.

The faint presence of many fellow demons of different species in the surroundings instantly awakens the Flame Demon tempted by the lure.

Especially when noticing the few corpses of Demons and Little Devils on the tables,

Which seemingly had been dissected and researched by the evil Elf Mage, their bloodlines extracted; the general aura from the Abyss and Hell had faded quite a bit.

”You are the notorious evil Mage,”

The Magic Patterns on the Flame Demon, like flowing lava, instantly light up; his frightened voice seemed unfitting of Demonic nature.

The Flame Demon swiftly turns, attempting to dive back into the passage he came from, aiming to restore the essential connection to his homeland within the Abyss.

Yet, numerous intricate Magic Patterns and Runes on the laboratory walls and lamps lit up, the Space Imprisonment Array sparkled with Spiritual Light, severing the summoning channel and isolating the intrinsic link with the Flame Demon, making him slam into the thick floor.

”Hehe, don’t be hasty to leave. I have but a small request, cooperate with my experiment, Flame Demon,” Elf Karon’s exceptionally beautiful deep eyes shine brightly.

He steps forward, the entire laboratory’s Magic Array responding and harmonizing with his movements, suppressing the Flame Demon.

The two snake cubs also excitedly circle around; the greedy Grinek loudly cries, ”Dad, this bad guy won’t cooperate with you; I’m going to devour this disobedient one.”

Haninek also moves its body, wagging a short fat tail forward.

These two snake cubs want to taste everything, although this Flame Demon doesn’t seem appetite-worthy, good or bad tasting must be determined through sampling.

In the world, one cannot adhere to stereotypes; that easily becomes a weakness, a rule unexpectedly exhibited by the two snake cubs.

Bang,

The two mischievous snake cubs are flicked away by Karon’s finger, turning multiple somersaults in the air.

Yet, before their anguished cries could escape, the Flame Demon’s intensely frightened scream echoed throughout the room.

Fortunately, the entire laboratory’s sound had been shielded by Karon using isolation magic; otherwise, young Red Dragon Kedelos outside wouldn’t get any sleep.

After all, Karon never uses his own blood for researching Red Dragon’s Blood; the stock gained from young Red Dragon Kedelos accumulated hundreds of pounds.
