Beneath the Red Dragon

Among these materials, even those minerals extremely resistant to heat, formed by condensing in the core’s magma, gradually melted under the Dragon Fire breathed by Karon. Under Karon’s power, they transformed and took shape, forming a large bell used for striking as a time standard within the Dragon Fire.

Piece by piece, the materials were picked up by the Mage’s Hand trick performed by Karon, successively thrown into the Dragon Fire, where they melted into liquid, then integrated with the gradually forming large bell.

When the last piece of Mithril melted into liquid and merged into the bell’s body, which was tinged with a faint silver sheen, Karon stopped his Dragon Fire.

His will activated the field enveloping the entire Dragon Nest, then infused his Heart Energy into the entire bell body, leaving his mark and a connection point for the field’s radiation.

With a breath, Karon exhaled, and a few sparks shot out from between his fangs.

Despite drawing on the endless Magic Power and energy from deep within the core, the prolonged fine-tuned power output still took a mental toll on him.

However, through this method of training, he further improved his control over power. Spells that previously required extra focus could now be easily cast, maintaining stability and precision in the release of Magic.

Dong,

Karon curled his Dragon Claw and lightly flicked it on the heavy bell, producing a resounding and melodious bell tone that echoed throughout the Dragon Nest, which was sealed by the field.

Karon nodded in satisfaction, extended his Dragon Claw again, and pressed it on the two-meter-high bell, inputting his own power. The bell vibrated as he channeled his internal Magic Power; the good power conductivity and Magic extensibility of Mithril allowed Karon to effortlessly expand his power.

The heavy, towering giant bell instantly buzzed and vibrated, emitting a deep, low hum. The invisible waves it emitted resonated with the field of the Dragon Nest, exuding a frightening suppressive force and latent destructive power.

”Very good, it seems I have a talent for being a Divine Craftsman,” Karon nodded in satisfaction, then flicked the heavy bell, sending it flying into the magma stream.

In the bubbling, boiling Magma Lake, many similar large bells floated, along with many discarded bells that had been scrapped, left to be slowly eroded and melted by the boiling magma.

And those intact bells soaked in the magma were enriched by the incredibly dense Magic, connecting with the field of the entire Dragon Nest, gradually producing a resonant rhythm.

This was Karon’s magical mysterious side time experiment, based on the incomplete time device of the Ancient Magic Kings.

These large bells would be hung in every city and village within the Giant Dragon Territory, serving as the territory’s time standard and ceremonial instruments.

When the main bell hanging at the Peak of the Dragon and the Giant Dragon Hall tolled, the bell sound would spread throughout the territory.

The bell sounds representing the beginning and end of each day, as well as the divisions of different time periods, were morning bells and evening drums.

These large bells would also serve as ceremonial instruments for receiving and transmitting Karon’s Power of Faith, as well as royal instruments for ruling the territory.

Karon, who had left his power beacon within the large bells, could also utilize these bells to transmit and spread his field across the entire territory for some form of power suppression when necessary.

Moreover, Karon also planned to use these large bells as the horns of the Giant Dragon Corps: when the bells tolled, it would be the moment for the corps to advance, presenting death’s favor to his enemies.

On regular days, the bell sounds could also be used to keep the Warriors’ steps in unison, boosting the army’s morale.

Their functions were indeed diverse. Although the main purpose was the experiment of exploring the essence of time, it was also Karon’s consistent style to exploit the maximum utility of a certain resource.

”It seems my idea is worth attempting,” Karon, with a hint of achievement, looked at the changes gradually occurring in the completed products, then breathed out Dragon Fire again to continue advancing his plan.

As the territory gradually developed, these clocks’ quantity was far from enough, and due to proficiency issues with the earlier bells, Karon planned to discard them.

The most important bell, which connected all the bells within the territory and was destined to be hung above the Giant Dragon Hall, still needed to be completed. It was to be tolled by the souls of Warrior heroes, so Karon had to keep striving.

Hoo,

Cobalt blue flames spewed out, burning the precious materials. One by one, valuable Magic Gemstones and Elemental Crystals were also cast into the Dragon Fire by Karon, providing abundant energy for crafting the upcoming Magic Treasure.

At this moment, as Karon immersed himself in experimentation and practice, he suddenly lifted his head slightly; the field encompassing the entire mountaintop informed him that the Warriors he summoned had arrived.

Karon didn’t pause his Dragon Fire; amidst the billowing magma vapors, his form waveringly blurred as a figure stepped out from behind him.

Standing about three and a half meters tall, Karon in Dragon Descendant form stepped out of his nest.

The Jackal-Wolf Man Leader Yougu, similarly towering yet slightly shorter than Karon’s current form, was already waiting outside the nest on the broad steps below the mountain top.

”My lord, my king,” the tall Jackal-Wolf Man Leader, now the War Commander and Chiliarch, Yougu, bowed in salute and reported to Karon: ”All the Warrior rewards within the war corps have been distributed, each Warrior has received the corresponding reward.”

”The spouses, oh, families of the fallen Warriors have also been properly settled, enjoying the prescribed benefits of the territory. The nameplates worn by each Warrior have been collected, buried in the Heroic Spirit cemetery, with gravestones erected for commemoration…” This Jackal-Wolf Man recounted to Karon the handling affairs following the last war.
