Beneath the Red Dragon

”Hmph,” Pikku Little Elf Riven clenched her small fist, ”your heart is like a warm stone!”

Karon flapped his wings and with a gentle beat, landed in front of his nest.

Now, this mountain peak not only absorbs power from deep within the Earth’s core, but is also transforming under Karon’s power.

Not only is it the tallest mountain among the ranges, the summit resembles a gigantic basin, only the edges of the basin are those gradually accumulating and cooling lava.

The original crater now looks more like a constantly flowing freshwater lake, occupying only about a quarter of the basin.

This basin now hosts many fire-attributed plants, with some ordinary ironwoods and vine grasses growing in the areas where lava has cooled.

Some peculiar little animals also live in this area, bathing in such an unusual environment for a long time, both animals and plants have undergone unusual changes.

Even the most ordinary ironwoods have a density much greater than similar trees in the outside world. Those animals gradually took on the same scale color as Karon’s.

This area has now become a small ecological garden.

Karon walked leisurely towards his nest.

His mind was still linked to the consciousness of the Dragon Descendant avatar, slowly receiving the stored knowledge information.

The newly acquired ability made him extremely satisfied, troubled by wanting to do too many things and feeling a bit overwhelmed.

Even though the Giant Dragon possesses nearly inexhaustible energy, it’s impossible to do several things well at once, but now he could.

Especially having acquired the knowledge left by the Ancient Magic Empire, he felt there were even more things he needed to do in the future.

A lot of information transmitted from the sub-brain of the Dragon Descendant avatar, but Karon currently only chose some knowledge he cared more about or could handle, which was about the cultivation of the World Tree and connecting to its essence.

Karon carefully weaved through the increasingly lush Dragon Saliva Grass and Red Flame Grass, these peculiar magic plants born from the power of the Red Dragon.

The Dragon Saliva Grass grew from the saliva and blood drops of Karon while grinding his teeth, though only a small clump, it was exceptionally tall.

Karon had discovered that as he grew, the products born because of him became noticeably more outstanding.

The entrance of the former treasure vault had been widened again by Karon, and he easily squeezed through, passing through layers of magic traps and magic energy barriers, arriving inside his treasure vault.

The entire treasure vault was illuminated as bright as day by the light of the mountain of treasures, even though it was deep within the dim mountain belly.

The glow radiating from Karon’s scales was covered by these treasures’ brilliance, indicating the sheer quantity of treasures here.

Ordinary Golden Gems had become a carpet covering the ground, dimming under the glow of other treasures.

Karon stepped over these treasures, heading toward the center of the vault, where the wooden box was placed.

Inside the wooden box were the seeds of the World Tree, obtained from the hands of the World Tree Soul Natis.

Even this wooden box was a treasure made from the remnants of the World Tree, extremely resilient, filled with life energy and a natural aura, having special uses for preserving certain special items.

Karon extended his claw, unwrapped the magic protection he set, and then opened the wooden box.

A fist-sized seed appeared before Karon.

The seed was naturally round, the most perfect round shape. Even the highest precision instruments could not detect a single flaw on this seed.

And this seed with bark-like skin from an old tree bore complex natural patterns, similar to magic runes, but simpler, conveying more meaning.

Ordinary creatures would have their brains overwhelmed just by seeing these patterns if they dared to explore the secrets of these patterns.

A node in Karon’s sub-brain had collapsed unexpectedly due to exploring these mysterious patterns, which is why, even though he recorded these mysterious and profound patterns, he never delved too deep into research.

Karon, according to the research methods of the Ancient Mage, was to activate and cultivate the seed of the World Tree.

The Ancient Mages explained the most important thing in cultivating the World Tree, which was to obtain control over the World Tree, establish a master-servant relationship, or at the very least, have a significant impact on the birth of the World Tree.

Some mages chose to use their magic power and blood to influence the World Tree, creating a mysterious relationship akin to being fatefully linked.

While some mages chose to treat the World Tree like a golem, injecting a soul under their control into the World Tree seed, using this soul to merge with the consciousness generated at the moment the World Tree is born, becoming a strange existence influenced by the mage’s control.

Karon did not choose the second path; he currently lacked the ability to capture the necessary souls in the Elemental Plane, and those fanatical souls in the Giant Dragon Hall were his brave followers, he couldn’t bring himself to do such a thing.

However, for the first option, Karon also wouldn’t choose to become the World Tree’s fate companion, and Karon also had his own pride, his Dragon Blood wouldn’t be easily used to nourish the World Tree.

”But if there’s anything that can have a significant impact on the World Tree, what could be more suitable than Heart Energy, a power marked by a very strong personal imprint!”

Karon smiled, baring his sharp teeth, his sharp Dragon Claw grasped the entire World Tree fruit, and the power from his body was infused into the World Tree seed in a special way.

The seed, enveloped tightly with all its life energy within its extremely resilient skin, instantly exerted a strong suction, drawing power from Karon’s body, reaching Karon’s output power limit in an instant.

”Drink, drink, dad’s got plenty,” Karon teased, feeling the vitality within the World Tree seed being activated, the gradually sprouting vitality emanating powerful life energy, even the resilient outer skin couldn’t block the leakage of this aura.

A faint consciousness gradually emerged along with the activation of life, and with a kind aura, made contact with Karon’s consciousness.

”Good, don’t get anxious, I’ll find a place for you to be planted,” Karon felt the newly born consciousness gradually stabilizing, then cut off the supply of Heart Energy from his body.

The life of the World Tree seed had already sprouted, and the massive energy and nutrients needed to break out and grow afterward no longer required his supply, but needed this world, Aikania, to provide for the World Tree.

Karon placed the seed, which had sprouted life and consciousness, back into the wooden box made from the remnants of the World Tree. The life energy contained within the wooden box was beneficial for the seed’s growth.

He was just about to leave with the World Tree seed when he noticed in a corner of the vault, the two Titan Demon Python eggs, which had been absorbing abundant energy and magic power for growth and nurturing, were also restless.

Two faint consciousnesses were restless inside the eggshell, like greedy children clamoring their parents for snacks.

”Hehehe, you guys want to eat too,” Karon chuckled as he stood beside these two serpent eggs, each as tall as half a man. The birth of the World Tree made him extremely happy, so he extended his Dragon Claw, carefully placed it on the two serpent eggs, and transferred Heart Energy over.

”Gulp gulp, gulp gulp,”

The two gigantic serpent eggs made sounds like cows drinking water, greedily absorbing and digesting Karon’s Heart Energy.

It wasn’t until the consciousnesses inside the two serpent eggs conveyed the satisfaction of being full that Karon withdrew his claws and turned to leave.

Crack,

Crack,

In the next moment, cracks began to appear one after another on the two serpent eggs, more and more cracks, with pieces of eggshells falling off, revealing the serpentine silhouette inside, struggling to break through with its head.

Pop, the resilient membrane was pierced by the little snake inside, revealing two chubby little heads.

The two chubby little heads blinked their large eyes, their eyes transforming in that instant from slit pupils to round pupils, distinctly different from snake eyes.

The two plump little snakes struggled out from the break in the egg membrane, showing their equally chubby but short bodies, with white stripes running from head to tail on their black backs.

”Mama!” One chubby little snake timidly opened its mouth, not yet having grown teeth, revealing the soft pink inner palate.

Pop,

The chubby tail of the other similarly chubby snake smacked the head of the snake that spoke, discontentedly calling out, ”Dummy, it’s ’Daddy’!”

Karon: ”?”...
