Beneath the Red Dragon

As an extraordinary species born with wild power and a wolfman bloodline, possessing both physical strength and extraordinary wilderness power, unlike many ordinary Imperial Guard warriors who are only endowed with naturally gifted strong bodies and combat skills.

Though every Imperial Guard warrior, influenced by Karon, possesses power that can be described as terrifying. Each fully armed Imperial Guard warrior is sufficient to confront and slay ordinary elite squad warriors.

However, not all Imperial Guards have stepped into the extraordinary stage to possess their own extraordinary power.

Some creatures may not have strong extraordinary power, but they can provide miraculous uses.

For example, the wolfman leader of the Shadow Wolf Heart Clan before him, not only could gain comprehensive amplification under wild power, but the energy attached to his claws was like a parasitic worm, adhering to the slashes on the heavy armor and corroding the hard defense of the armor, making the areas around the openings more fragile.

Moreover, a wolfman like the leader of the Shadow Wolf Heart Clan, who can fully control wild power, can use his blood and saliva to inject his wilderness power into humans and some intelligent races to plant wolf poison, turning them into new wolfmen.

However, a wolfman who cannot fully control their wild power can only rely on luck if they want to turn other races into wolfmen. If they’re unlucky, they will only die from severe illness due to wolf poison infection.

”Damn it, I knew that group of green-skinned dwarfs couldn’t be relied upon, useless at critical moments, keeping the original armor thickness would have been much more defensive,”

The Imperial Guard Decurion, who was kicked and lay on the ground, grumbled in frustration. Seeing the leader of the Shadow Wolf Heart Clan pouncing at him, he rolled over and flipped to the left.

Meanwhile, the Imperial Guard warrior’s right hand slammed fiercely onto the left chest embedded with the Eye of the Red Dragon. The dormant magic core finally lit up, like a giant dragon opening its eyes, unveiling a layer of spiritual light that poured into the warrior’s body.

The trained Imperial Guard Decurion skillfully handled the influx of power into his body, making his responses quicker and his strength stronger. He extended his arm, spread his gauntlet, and directly caught the claws of the wolfman leader in the next instant.

Cling, cling, cling,

The light emerging from the Imperial Guard Decurion’s gauntlet nullified the power attached to the wolfman leader’s claws. The sharp claws clashed with the gauntlet, sparking a few sparks, but the wolfman’s claws were firmly grasped by the warrior’s gauntlet, unable to break free.

The strength of each Imperial Guard warrior was already terrifying. Even the wolfman leader, after transforming, only surpassed the Imperial Guard warrior by one level in strength but had considerable advantages in agility and other aspects, making it easy to overpower Imperial Guard warriors with heavy armor.

Even the significantly outstanding Decurion among the Imperial Guard warriors was slightly at a disadvantage when facing the wolfman leader.

Yet, with the energy supply from the magic core, this Imperial Guard Decurion’s strength was sufficient to match the wolfman leader’s power.

The wolfman leader, shocked by the sudden increase in the opponent’s power, was unexpectedly caught off guard by the Imperial Guard Decurion, who pinned the wolfman leader’s claws and dragged his entire body towards him.

Bam,

A dull thud sounded as the Imperial Guard Decurion ferociously smashed his head against the wolfman leader’s head in a fierce headbutt, leaving the wolfman leader seeing stars and bleeding from the nose and mouth.

Then the Imperial Guard Decurion’s knee guard struck, hitting hard at the wolfman leader’s groin.

”Awooo,”

The wolf howled miserably, like the wailing of the undead, but it abruptly stopped. Seizing the battle advantage, the Decurion gathered all his strength and swept his heavy sword horizontally, breaking the wolfman leader’s leg, then stomped heavily on the wolfman leader’s heart.

”Oh, I misjudged that green-skinned dwarf, should call him ’Boom Boom Master’, this magical power armor is indeed pretty good,”

The Imperial Guard Decurion lifted his visor, revealing his face and a triumphant smile, ”The will of my king watches over us, do not resist, wolfman, your soul cannot belong to the holy hall of my king, your body cannot bask in the glory of my king, it will only meet a miserable death, quiet!”

The elder of the Silver Fang Tribe, this powerful wolfman, watched as the surrounding wolfmen fell one by one to the Imperial Guard warriors’ heavy swords or were captured, his eyelids twitching.

Especially the magic released by the wolfman elder of the Yuktena Clan was easily blocked by the armor of those Imperial Guard warriors.

Though in close combat, the magic released by the wolfman elder was just low-level control magic, but the emblem on that Imperial Guard warrior’s armor lit up, instantly covering the warrior with a thin layer of magic shield.

The magic released by the wolfman elder could only hit the magic shield, unable to affect the Imperial Guard warrior’s body.

Crack, the Imperial Guard warrior blocked the claw strike from the Yuktena Clan wolfman elder, but suddenly the magic core on his chest short-circuited, with a few tiny magic crystals flickering unstably, then all went out simultaneously.

A thick white smoke seeped from the channel connecting the magic core to the inner layer of heavy armor, filling the sealed face armor of the Imperial Guard warrior. Tendrils of white smoke spilled out from the visor, choking the warrior to tears and coughing uncontrollably.

This Imperial Guard warrior was left defenseless and was kicked from behind by the Yuktena Clan wolfman elder. Just when the wolfman elder was about to pounce and end the life of this Imperial Guard warrior.
