Alchemy Master

Chapter 343, Do You Dare

“Chairman Hai, what’s going on?” Qin Yichen frowned. Since he had already come out, he naturally could not pretend he had not heard anything.

He had some impression of Chairman Lin, though not particularly good ones.

Although Chairman Lin was also a Human Grade Alchemy Master, his personality was completely different from Chairman Hai. While Chairman Hai had a fiery temper, he was single-mindedly devoted to the Dao of Alchemy.

As for Chairman Lin, he was very different. Born into Nobility, he did not pursue the Dao of Alchemy. After becoming a Human Grade Alchemy Master, his eyes had been blinded by worldly wealth…

“Don’t mind this old fool, let’s go.”

Chairman Hai glared at Chairman Lin and said to Qin Yichen.

“Stop!” Chairman Lin’s gaze fell on Qin Yichen, his eyes narrowing as he shouted, “How can such a youngster be qualified to come here? Old Hai, aren’t you making Alchemy Central too much of a joke!?”

“You!” Chairman Hai pointed at Chairman Lin, momentarily speechless, because revealing Qin Yichen’s true abilities would be too shocking.

“A joke?” Qin Yichen snorted, striding up to Chairman Lin, his eyes showing no fear as he met the latter’s gaze.

“Hmph, you beardless boy. Why aren’t you home drinking milk instead of coming here? Do you think Alchemy Central is a place just anyone can enter?”

Chairman Lin snorted coldly, apparently even more enraged by Qin Yichen’s disrespectful behaviour.

“You old thing. At your age, why aren’t you lying in bed waiting to die instead of barking here!?” Qin Yichen similarly snorted coldly in response. Having been influenced by Zhao Ritian in Central Province City, he had inherited quite a bit of Zhao Ritian’s skills in verbal attacks.

“You! You insolent brat! Do you know who you’re talking to!? Do you know who I am!?” Hearing this, Chairman Lin was furious, roaring loudly while releasing a powerful wave of Spiritual Energy.

From a distance, Xia Ziyi was trembling in fear. [That is Chairman Lin, Qin Yichen! He is one of Alchemy Central’s two giants! You really feared nothing between Heaven and Earth!]

“Old Lin, don’t be so shameless!” Seeing Chairman Lin appearing ready to attack Qin Yichen, Chairman Hai immediately angrily shouted, releasing his own equally powerful Spiritual Energy to dispel the other’s pressure.

“Hmph, Old Hai, who’s being shameless? Not only did you bring an inexperienced boy to the top floor, but you also took in some strange Disciple. If we are judging by talent, Xia Ziyi’s is nothing special. We must have dozens if not hundreds of people like him in Alchemy Central. If you take him out, you might not feel ashamed, but I fear it will bring shame to our Grand Empire’s Alchemy Central!”

Seeing Chairman Hai’s intervention, Chairman Lin coldly shouted, turning his criticism toward Xia Ziyi, who was standing awkwardly in the distance.

“Hmph? Bring shame? Let me tell you, Old Lin, next year, let your two Disciples compete with Xia Ziyi! We’ll see who brings shame to Alchemy Central at that time!” Chairman Hai shouted angrily.

“Let’s compete then! I want to see what you can do next year!”

Chairman Lin shouted back, red-faced and neck bulging.

At this moment, Xia Ziyi felt a deep chill. Chairman Lin’s two Disciples were both Fourth Grade Alchemy Masters. He could already imagine how Chairman Hai would push him in the coming days…

However, just as Xia Ziyi was feeling cold, Qin Yichen’s calm voice suddenly rang out. “Old thing, if you want to compete, why wait until next year!”

“Oh? What? You want to compete with my Disciples?”

Chairman Lin looked at Qin Yichen and could not help but sneer, disdainfully saying. “Someone who only got into Alchemy Central through others’ help has no right to compete with my Disciples!”

“I never said I wanted to compete with your Disciples.”

To Chairman Lin’s surprise, this youth showed no sign of backing down, instead looking at him with a challenging gaze.

“If you don’t dare compete with them then why are you talking?” Chairman Lin sneered, full of contempt.

“You old thing, with your pathetic skills, what kind of Disciples could you possibly teach?” Qin Yichen sneered.

To Chairman Hai, these words seemed perfectly reasonable. It was normal for Qin Yichen to look down on Chairman Lin’s Disciples. After all, Qin Yichen was someone even he had to humbly seek advice from!

However, to Chairman Lin’s ears, it was different. It was a blatant provocation! This was contempt for the dignity of Alchemy Central!

“You brat, I’ll give you two choices!” Sure enough, Chairman Lin gritted his teeth and held up two fingers at Qin Yichen, fiercely declaring.

“First, kneel down and apologize to me immediately, then get out of Alchemy Central!”

“Second, die!”

After speaking, Chairman Lin’s gaze fixed firmly on Qin Yichen, as if his eyes could materialize into a sword and pierce two bloody holes through the latter’s body.

“Sorry, I won’t choose either!” Qin Yichen shrugged his shoulders, completely at ease under the other’s gaze.

“That’s not up to you. Since you won’t choose, I’ll send you to your death! Alchemy Central’s dignity is not something you can tarnish!” Chairman Lin coldly snorted, apparently choosing the second option for Qin Yichen.

“Old thing, at your age, have you gone senile? You should still know the rules of the World of Alchemy, right?”

Qin Yichen sneered, saying to Chairman Lin.

“Hmm?” Chairman Lin paused as he looked at Qin Yichen.

“You should know how disputes are settled in the World of Alchemy, right?” Qin Yichen continued asking. “This was something everyone in the World of Alchemy knows. It is basic knowledge.”

Chairman Lin’s eyes narrowed slightly, clearly not expecting Qin Yichen to make such a request.

However, destined to shock him, Qin Yichen’s lips moved to form two words that made him want to burst out laughing, “Alchemy Duel!”

“Hahaha…!” Whether Chairman Lin found it an enormous joke or was laughing from extreme anger was unclear. He laughed several times, nearly breaking into tears.

“Alchemy Duel? You want an Alchemy Duel with me? Brat, is something wrong with your head?” Chairman Lin pointed at his own head, asking in disbelief.

“What? You don’t dare to accept it?” Qin Yichen smiled, neither confirming nor denying.

“Hmph! You’re not qualified for an Alchemy Duel with me. In fact, you’re not even qualified for an Alchemy Duel with my Disciples!” Chairman Lin waved his sleeve, saying coldly.

“Just say whether you dare or not, stop with the nonsense!” Qin Yichen frowned, seemingly extremely annoyed by the other’s nonsensical yapping.

These words made Chairman Lin’s heart skip a beat.

[Too arrogant! Too ignorant!! And too laughable! Since you’re so eager to die, let me grant your wish then!]

Chairman Lin took a deep breath, and finally slowly spoke three words. “You are on!”
