Alchemy Master

Chapter 339, The Royal Consort’s Illness

“Hehe, Prince, didn’t your Son tell you that I am also a Human Grade Alchemy Master?” Qin Yichen said with a light chuckle.

At the same time, a vast wave of Spiritual Energy swept out, causing strong winds to blow through the courtyard as an oppressive aura spread.

“A Human Grade Alchemy Master!?” Sensing this wave of Spiritual Enevery, Xia Zelei’s expression finally changed, and for the first time, shock appeared in his eyes.

A youth who appeared to be of similar age to his Son, was not only the youngest Martial King in the Grand Empire but also a Human Grade Alchemy Master!

Human Grade Alchemy Master! In the entire Grand Empire, there were only two publicly known ones in Alchemy Central!

However, Xia Zelei was indeed someone who had seen much of the world. His expression quickly returned to normal.

“Qin Yichen, to be honest, you surprised me. However, that was not necessary. Just quickly state your demands.” Xia Zelei said slowly after taking a deep breath.

His voice was somewhat low, clearly showing that mentioning matters about his Wife had caused his mood to become downcast and depressed.

Although Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy cultivation was somewhat unexpected, setting aside the fact that he was so young, even the two giants from Alchemy Central and the experts he had spent great resources to invite had found no solution for her plight. How could this youth possibly help?

“Hehe, forgive me for being direct then, But regarding your Wife’s illness, not just in our Grand Empire, but even across the continent, no one will be able to treat her.” seeing him softening somewhat, Qin Yichen continued slowly: “However, you should consider yourself fortunate to have met me.”

Hearing Qin Yichen’s words, Xia Zelei first remained silent, then his eyes flickered with an unusual light, but in the end, all this transformed into a light sigh.

Seeing Xia Zelei’s attitude to his words, Qin Yichen knew that this outwardly strong man was afraid!

He was afraid, afraid that each time he held onto great hope, it would be exchanged for devastating news. Perhaps it was not fear for himself, but worry about disappointing his Wife.

“An injury to the Soul, first falling into a coma for several years, then after waking, having three years of normalcy. After which, the Soul gradually weakens, and the body becomes ill. When extremely weak, it even causes symptoms where the body becomes transparent…”

As Qin Yichen spoke, Xia Zelei first froze, then an unusual light flickered in his eyes again. The two Elders in Alchemy Central did not even know his Wife’s condition, and even the experts he had spent great resources to invite were only slightly better than them. They merely identified that the cause was something to do with her Soul.

However, that expert had no solution to it at all, and could not even describe the symptoms as detailed as Qin Yichen had… in the end, they only suggested using more Soul nourishing Spirit Medicines for cultivation to alleviate the symptoms.

Over these years, he had collected countless of such Spirit Medicine, only to find they could not even help her condition!

Being at the peak of power yet unable to save his beloved Wife left Xia Zelei deeply remorseful and helpless!

“Prince, I may be blunt for saying this but your huge collection of so many Soul nourishing Spirit Medicine has, to be frank, been completely useless!” Qin Yichen spoke bluntly, then, under Xia Zelei’s startled gaze, took out a jade box from his robes.

Opening the jade box revealed a Seven-Coloured Flower and a Seven-Coloured Fruit.

The moment the jade box opened, a fragrance that invigorated Xia Zelei’s spirit wafted out. This fragrance was different from those Soul nourishing Spirit Medicines – it seemed to comfort one’s very Soul!

These were the Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits that Qin Yichen had obtained in the Twilight Tower!

“These are the Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits I obtained in the Twilight Tower. They have the effect of courshing the Soul, however, whether they can treat your Wife’s condition remains to be seen. I’ll need to examine her first to know.”

Seeing Xia Zelei’s softening expression, Qin Yichen knew he had successfully convinced him –  though he did not make any definite promises about being able to cure her.

“If you can cure Xinqing’s illness, if you request for anything within my power, I’ll do it without question!” Xia Zelei took a deep breath before slowly speaking, the determination in his voice making one’s heart tremble.

For his beloved Wife, Xia Zelei had clearly put everything on the line. He had not even considered what if Qin Yichen asked him to betray his own country.

“Please lead the way then.” Qin Yichen nodded, not saying much more. After all, though his request would not involve treason, it would still require Xia Zelei’s full support…

Then, under Xia Zelei’s guidance, they went through the courtyard directly to an elegant room.

This elegant room was beautifully decorated, with a large bed in the center where a woman lay.

The woman appeared to be sleeping, her face quite haggard. Though from her delicate features one could still see she had once been a great beauty.

What was shocking was that one of her sleeves hung on empty air, as if there was no arm. Though, upon careful observation, her sleeve was still filled out, as if there was an invisible arm.

Looking at the woman on the bed, Xia Zelei’s eyes reddened, and rare moisture gathered in his fierce eyes.

As if sensing someone had entered, the middle-aged beauty’s eyes moved slightly, opening a bit. Before she could try to rise, Xia Zelei quickly walked over, gently stroking her hair, indicating she need not get up.

She nodded apologetically to Qin Yichen, though confusion showed in her gaze.

Besides her Family, only a few experts who had tried to treat her could enter here. So, what was this youth doing here? Could he also be here to treat her?

As if seeing her confusion, Xia Zelei said softly: “My love, don’t underestimate this young man. He’s the most promising person I’ve seen who might be able to cure you, trust me!”

Hearing his words, surprise flashed in the middle-aged beauty’s eyes. After all, she knew Xia Zelei very well – he would never lie just to comfort her.

However, if several Human Grade Alchemy Masters had no solution, what ability could this youth possibly have?

Perhaps not wanting to disappoint Xia Zelei, the beauty nodded with a gentle smile.

When Qin Yichen saw her, his expression became grave, seeing that her condition seemed somewhat beyond his expectations.

At this moment, Xia Zelei’s hopeful gaze fell upon him.

This was not just a symptom of Soul Damage, but rather… Soul Dissipation!

[This will be… tricky..]  If it was just Soul Damage, Qin Yichen could easily cure it, but Soul Dissipation wasn’t so simple.

“How is it?” Seeing his expression change, Xia Zelei’s heart sank.
