Alchemy Master

Chapter 334, Chairman Hai’s Shock

“Recommend someone?” The old man was stunned. When he saw Xia Ziyi, he became confused, clearly unable to figure out what Qin Yichen was planning.

“I see he has talent, why don’t you take him as a Disciple?” Qin Yichen said with a smile, giving Chairman Hai a meaningful wink.

Hearing Qin Yichen be so direct, Xia Ziyi was also surprised. Then his heart began to pound. He both hoped Chairman Hai would agree and was worried that Chairman Hai would drive both him and Qin Yichen out.

“Him? He has talent?” Chairman Hai pointed at Xia Ziyi, almost unable to resist asking what trick Qin Yichen was trying to pull here.

However, after yesterday’s events, he dared not underestimate this young man before him. He felt that the things he took pride in seemed… worthless before this youth.

“Hmm?” Qin Yichen gestured toward a Small Pill Furnace at the side, and Xia Ziyi’s body trembled as he hurriedly walked over.

Identifying herbs, measuring herbs…

Though every step was extremely practiced, none stood out as exceptional.

*Hmph!*

However, as the flames rose beneath the Pill Furnace, the moment Xia Ziyi began refining Pills, Chairman Hai’s expression started to show surprise.

In just five minutes, a Level Two Pill was taken out of the Pill Furnace by Xia Ziyi.

[Five minutes to refine a Level Two Pill?]

Xia Ziyi’s Spiritual Energy cultivation had clearly just broken through to the Spirit Realm. Being able to successfully refine a Pill in such a short time was obviously inseparable from that Alchemy Technique he had used.

“From now on, you’ll stay by my side.” Chairman Hai did not ask much, just secretly calculating when to get that Alchemy Technique from Xia Ziyi. He waved his hand and spoke, though the slight tremor in his voice revealed his unsettled state of mind.

Seeing his long-cherished wish achieved so easily, Xia Ziyi stood there, stunned. Finally, after a light cough from Qin Yichen, his body trembled as he came back to his senses and quickly bowed. “Th-thank you, Chairman Hai!”

Qin Yichen also smiled. Given the Chairman’s attitude toward him, introducing a Disciple to him would not be difficult. It was just that he did not want Chairman Hai to blame him later. After all, he had also taught this Alchemy Technique to Zhao Ritian!

Chairman Hai did not waste words, directly beckoning him over and beginning to teach Xia Ziyi some matters to note about refining Pills, pointing out the shortcomings in his earlier Pill demonstration.

After all, he was going to be following behind him from now on. If he was too ordinary, it would not look good. Chairman Hai definitely did not want to be mocked by those other old dogs.

Having handled Xia Ziyi’s matter, Qin Yichen no longer concerned himself with them. He walked to one side of the room and took out a Pill Furnace to prepare and refine the Jade Clear Ice Soul Pills.

With Chairman Hai’s tacit permission, Qin Yichen had gathered all the needed materials from Alchemy Central in just one day.

Taking out the Jade Clear Ice Soul Spirit Herb, Qin Yichen took a deep breath and muttered, “There’s only this one chance. I can’t fail…”

Strictly speaking, the Jade Clear Ice Soul Pill was considered a Fifth Grade Pill. Even though Qin Yichen had broken through to become a Human Grade Alchemy Master, he could not guarantee 100% success.

However, having come this far, he could not retreat now.

After taking out the Pill Furnace, Qin Yichen shook his head, clearing out any stray thoughts from his mind. With his strength as a Human Grade Alchemy Master, success was extremely likely, barring any accidents.

After putting all the medicinal herbs into the Pill Furnace, Qin Yichen closed his eyes. His Spiritual Energy was following his control, to wrap around the Spirit Medicine, refining them one by one.

But Qin Yichen had overlooked one thing – this was not Twilight Tower!

As Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy flowed, a terrifying pressure suddenly appeared. The world that was like a calm lake suddenly churned with huge waves.

This fluctuation could not be concealed at all, and immediately, everyone in Alchemy Central sensed his aura.

“Such… such terrifying Spiritual Energy fluctuations!”

“It’s upstairs! Is Chairman Hai refining some kind of Pill again?”

Throughout Alchemy Central, countless people held their breath, their burning gazes looking up toward the top floor.

Originally explaining some points Xia Ziyi needed to take note of, Chairman Hai’s body suddenly trembled, his eyes nearly popping out in disbelief.

“This kid… Heavens, he is a Human Grade Alchemy Master!!?”

This Spiritual Energy fluctuation could not be mistaken!

*Whoosh!* Looking at Qin Yichen’s calm appearance, Chairman Hai’s expression turned solemn. With a wave of his hand, a mighty Spiritual Energy howled out, enveloping the entire Alchemy Room.

This made that terrifying Spiritual Energy pressure gradually dissipate throughout Alchemy Central.

At this point, Xia Ziyi could finally manage to catch his breath from that Spiritual Energy pressure. His eyes were filled with shock as he stared dumbfounded at the youth about his own age.

Refining Spirit Medicine was not difficult, but because of the Jade Clear Ice Soul Spirit Herb, this process still took some time.

After about an hour, the medicinal herbs in the Pill Furnace were completely refined.

Looking at the liquid in the Pill Furnace, Qin Yichen’s lips curved into a slight smile. With his current Spiritual Energy cultivation, the refining process was indeed much easier. He had thought it would take at least two hours, but it ended in such a short time.

The next step was to merge these Medicinal Liquids. Strike while the iron was hot, Qin Yichen did not pause. His hands waved around as familiar hand seals struck the Pill Furnace, and his Spiritual Energy flowing in with them.

Following his flowing movements, Chairman Hai and Xia Ziyi nearby were dumbstruck. Only Lin Tianhui, long since numbed to such things, showed no change in his eyes.

Finally, under their shocked gazes, following Qin Yichen’s final palm strike and slow withdrawal, they reluctantly gulped.

Only now did Xia Ziyi understand why Chairman Hai would do Qin Yichen this favour in accepting him as his Disciple.

Human Grade Alchemy Master! Just this reason alone was enough!

However, he did not know that Chairman Hai had only just learned that Qin Yichen’s Spiritual Energy cultivation had reached such a level.

“Exactly ten…” Looking at the ten Pills lying in the Pill Furnace, Qin Yichen quickly took them out and placed them in a prepared jade bottle. At the same time, he secretly sighed in relief that nothing had gone wrong.

After tidying up, Qin Yichen noticed that two burning gazes seemed to be fixed on him.

[Oh shit!] At this moment, Qin Yichen suddenly realised that earlier, because he was fully focused on refining the Pills, he had not deliberately concealed his Spiritual Energy…
