Alchemy Master

Chapter 309, Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits

Qin Yichen and the black-robed person advanced quickly. Whether flowers or vines approached them, they were all burned or corroded by their Yuan Energy.

At the centre of the sea of flowers stood a massive flower tree with a diameter of over ten meters. On this enormous tree bloomed seven different coloured flowers, and it bore fruits of seven different colours.

“Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits!?” From afar, when Qin Yichen saw the flowers and fruits on this massive tree, he could not help but cry out in surprise, appearing excited, even dancing with joy.

Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits. They were sacred medicines for Spiritual Energy!

In his previous life, countless Alchemy Masters had fought desperately for just one Seven-Coloured Flower or Fruit. Yet, now, they just stood, with an entire giant tree full of them!

After the initial shock, though Qin Yichen found it incredible, it was somewhat understandable.

This Twilight Tower had survived since ancient times. Which means this Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits Tree had existed since that era, enduring countless years. Moreover, it grew without any interference.

Additionally, the Twilight Tower had many restrictions. Those over thirty years old could not enter. Otherwise, if word got out, this Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits Tree would have long been taken by those Major Forces.

If Qin Yichen had not accidentally stumbled in here and seen this sea of flowers at the outer area, he would not have entered either.

Perhaps even the person who planted the Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits Tree here had not anticipated it would develop like this. Otherwise, it could have been used as a reward for reaching the top floor of the Twilight Tower.

“What a waste…” Looking at the fallen Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits beneath the massive tree, Qin Yichen felt deep pain.

However, just as he excitedly walked forward, the surrounding sea of flowers moved…

*Whoosh!* The flowers covering the mountains and plains began to move, and soon, a giant beast composed of various flowers and vines appeared before them.

From a distance, it looked like a huge tentacled monster.

Flowers formed its body, vines its limbs. Like a guardian, it blocked the path between Qin Yichen and the Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits Tree.

*Swish!* As the Flower Vine Beast moved, a tentacle thicker than a Human arm whipped toward Qin Yichen and the black-robed person.

“Sword Control Technique!” Qin Yichen concentrated, and the Spirit Sword appeared before him.

*Swoosh!* The Spirit Sword, enhanced by Yuan Energy, appeared especially sharp. With just a flash of its shadow, that tentacle was directly cut off and fell.

*Woo…!* The Flower Vine Beast seemed to have felt pain from this, and immediately hundreds of tentacles danced through the air, whipping toward Qin Yichen and the black-robed person.

*Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!* Under the successive sounds of air being cut, Qin Yichen and the black-robed person were forced to scramble about, having to retreat some distance.

“Damn it.” The Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits were right in front of him, yet he could not get them! This frustrated Qin Yichen immensely.

Those tentacles’ force could definitely send a Fully Accomplished Spirit Realm expert flying. Even though their Yuan Energy could counter the flower and vines, they still had to personally endure the attacks.

Flower vine tentacles fell one after another, either cut by the Spirit Sword or corroded by black energy. However, the mountainous flower vines quickly replenished the Flower Vine Beast, showing no reduction in numbers.

Soon, Qin Yichen realised something.

Continuing like this, even with all his Pills, they would be exhausted to death here.

Eliminating the Flower Vine Beast… seemed like an impossible task.

Because here, all flowers and vines had a certain level of strength and the Flower Vine Beast was the cumulation from these plants. Unless they destroyed this endless sea of flowers, the Flower Vine Beast would not die.

“Brother, can you hold it off alone for a while?” Qin Yichen did not want to continue this stalemate. He moved closer to the black-robed person and quietly asked.

*Hmph!* The black-robed person obviously did not want to acknowledge him.

“Brother, those things you’re using… they don’t actually belong to you, right?” Qin Yichen lowered his voice. Though quiet, his words made the consistently cold black-robed person tremble.

Indeed, the black energy the black-robed person wielded was very powerful and special, seemingly able to corrode anything. But when Qin Yichen watched this person fight, he noticed some clues.

That black energy surrounding the black-robed person did not seem to be their natural Attribute.

This was quite intriguing.

Though Qin Yichen did not know how the black-robed person obtained such a Special Attribute, even if this person’s body was made of newly forged iron, it could not possibly remain undamaged under that black energy’s corrosion.

Actually, during the Martial Arts Tournament, though Left Hongyi’s palm was corroded by the black energy, the black-robed person was not completely unaffected. Even from this person’s slightly stumbling steps as they left the arena, Qin Yichen could see that the black-robed person was very weak.

Strictly speaking, the black-robed person’s body was quite frail.

There was only one reason for this result… the black energy was corroding their own body!

That was why the black-robed person needed to participate in the Martial Arts Tournament and enter the Twilight Tower.

If Qin Yichen was not mistaken, the black-robed person’s goal was to find some ancient spirit medicine in the Twilight Tower to help maintain their body.

After a brief pause, killing intent spread from the black-robed person’s body, locking onto Qin Yichen.

No one wanted their weakness to be exposed. The black-robed person was no exception.

“Don’t be hasty.” Seeing the black-robed person’s hasty reaction, Qin Yichen became more certain of his suspicions. While dealing with the flower vine tentacles, he created some distance between them and explained, “Brother, you might not know this, but I’m actually an Alchemy Master. Martial Arts is just a hobby of mine.” Speaking thus far, he took out his Alchemy Master Medal and waved it within the black-robed person’s view.

The black-robed person’s killing intent grew stronger upon seeing it. [This bastard of an Alchemy Master dares to say such things!?]

“Uh…” Qin Yichen awkwardly scratched his head, then became serious, “You don’t think those Pills you’re using fell from the sky, do you?”

At this point, the black-robed person slightly reduced the  killing intent they were emitting. The black-robed person had indeed stayed with Qin Yichen because of the Pills he provided.

Compared to Qin Yichen’s Pills, those so-called High Level Pills he had exchanged at high prices from the Alchemy Central in Twilight City were absolute garbage.

There was no comparison between them.

“If you trust me, as long as I can obtain the Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits there, I will definitely solve the hidden danger in your body.” The Seven-Coloured Flowers and Fruits were extremely important to Qin Yichen. If refined into Pills, they could even help his Spiritual Energy cultivation break through to the Martial King Realm!
