Chapter 312, Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox

Translator: Silavin

A graceful feminine figure appeared in Qin Yichen’s vision.

The only female who had entered the Twilight Tower this time was the Seventh Princess… Xia Ziling.

“She…” Qin Yichen did not dare underestimate her.

Without using his Dragon Martial Soul, he had almost no chance of victory against the Heavenly Hu Jiao Martial Soul.

However, now with Lin Tianhui beside him, he was not worried.

But this was only temporary…

Because behind Xia Ziling, an exceptionally terrifying aura followed closely.

“Could that be… the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox!” Upon seeing the figure behind her, Lin Tianhui’s expression changed drastically.

The Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox was the overlord of the first floor of the Twilight Tower!

The Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox not only possessed Martial King Realm cultivation, but it also had a terrifying special characteristic… any energy laced attacks were ineffective against it!

That was why it was called the Spirit Devouring Fox.

Hearing this name, Qin Yichen’s expression also turned unpleasant.

Liang Hongshen had mentioned the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox to him and repeatedly warned him never to provoke it. He never imagined the Seventh Princess would lure out this overlord of the first floor.

“Run!” Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui did not hesitate, immediately turning to flee.

However, the Seventh Princess apparently did not intend to let them go, instead darting straight toward the two of them.

At this moment, both Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui felt the urge to curse. [You beecch, trying to set us up!?]

Especially Lin Tianhui – this was the second time he had been set up. He even questioned what had he done to deserve this!?

What hurt them most was that Xia Ziling used some unknown Movement Technique, suddenly increasing her speed several fold. Within a few breaths, she had overtaken them, running ahead of them both.

“Damn that…!” Feeling his body already locked onto by the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox, Qin Yichen wanted to cry. Looking at the graceful figure ahead, he really wanted to catch her and spank her.

However, it seemed that using that Movement Technique had taken quite a toll on Xia Ziling, as she kept consuming Pills, using four or five in a short time.

[Could it be that she stole something precious from the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox? Why else would it chase her so relentlessly?] This possibility was very high. As the overlord of the first floor of the Twilight Tower, the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox’s territory should contain the best treasures.

Though Qin Yichen did not know what it was, anything that would make Xia Ziling risk her life to keep must be extraordinary.

“*Hmph!* Wanting us to do the hard work while you get all the benefits? No way!!” Qin Yichen snorted, saying to Lin Tianhui nearby, “Brother Lin, the sea of flowers!”

Though the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox was the overlord of this floor, that sea of flowers was not easy to traverse either. He believed that even if the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox entered the sea of flowers, it would be badly injured.

The sea of flowers and the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox each had their own special characteristics… the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox ignored energy attacks, while the sea of flowers ignored defense.

When they suddenly changed direction, the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox paused briefly, then abandoned pursuit of them to continue chasing Xia Ziling.

This was something Xia Ziling had not anticipated.

However, if she continued being chased by the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox, she definitely would not last until the second floor opened up.

She also did not have many Pills left either.

She had not expected the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox to be so persistent.

Turning around, Xia Ziling once again darted toward where Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui were headed.

But now, Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui were not worried.

After all, the sea of flowers was already in sight.

Arriving at the edge of the sea of flowers, they exchanged glances and both charged in under the protection of their Yuan Energy.

When Xia Ziling arrived, she did not hesitate either, foolishly following them inside.

*Cii…* Seeing its front paw getting pierced and bleeding, the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox immediately stopped at the edge of the sea of flowers, but its gaze remained locked on Xia Ziling.

Though it did not enter the sea of flowers, it kept pacing at the edge.

Seeing the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox not following them, Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui had no intention of going deeper, and stopped where they were.

*Hehe.* After turning around, Qin Yichen’s lips curved into a strange smile as he watched Xia Ziling approaching.

Xia Ziling did not know why they had stopped, but when she discovered the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox had not continued following them, she could not help but sigh in relief.

“Seventh Princess, be careful, the things under your foot can bite.” Qin Yichen ‘kindly’ reminded.

“Hm?” Despite his warning, it was too late. By the time Xia Ziling reacted, her feet were already marked with several bloody scratches, her dress torn in several places, revealing glimpses of her smooth, white legs.

“En” Qin Yichen’s gaze swept over that snow-white skin, watching the flustered Xia Ziling, but showing no intention of helping.

As for Lin Tianhui, he was even less likely to help. It was already good enough that he had not attacked Xia Ziling. Helping her would be a joke!

Reality proved that even with her Heavenly Hu Jiao Martial Soul, Xia Ziling still could not handle this sea of flowers. When she tried to run out, she saw the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox pacing at the edge. Soon, her pretty face changed colour.

Now, with her injured feet, how could she outrun the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox even if she got out of the sea of flowers!?

However, when Xia Ziling’s gaze fell on Qin Yichen and Lin Tianhui, she was slightly stunned.

Because she discovered that the flowers, grass, and vines that had ignored all her defenses, could not get near the two of them. There was a considerable clear space had been created around them.

Xia Ziling wanted to walk over to them.

However, she also understood that her earlier actions could be seen as her trying to harm them.

How could she have the face to ask for help now?

“Seventh Princess.” Seeming to see her awkward situation, Qin Yichen spoke again, asking with apparent ‘kindness’. “Do you want me to help you?”

Xia Ziling did not speak, but her eyes looked at him with confusion.

Even if she was foolish, she would not believe Qin Yichen would repay evil with kindness.

“Seventh Princess, don’t be nervous, I’m just curious about what you obtained from the Three-Tailed Spirit Devouring Fox.” Qin Yichen’s lips still held a ‘kind’ smile, but in Xia Ziling’s eyes, it looked like the smirk of someone whose scheme had succeeded.

If he had not lured her into this sea of flowers, how could she have ended up in such a sorry situation!?
