Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 695: 274

Of course, if the enemy were a formal Wizard, Holdan wouldn’t resort to the shadow snake’s sneaky tactics.

—————–

Inside the room.

After finishing his bath, Rein wiped himself dry and planned to get out of the bath.

At that moment, he suddenly sensed something.

Suddenly, a thin black shadow struck like lightning, biting towards his calf.

Rein immediately delivered a kick, sending the dark shadow into the air, and in the next second, it was impaled in the head by the spikes of Hardened Essence Gold, and nailed to the wall.

But almost at the same time, another shadowy figure burst from behind and bit onto Rein’s other calf.

“Clang!”

The next second, the shadowy figure was momentarily stunned, its two poisonous fangs had broken off, and it was now writhing in pain on the ground.

Rein looked at his calf and saw only two white marks.

The hardness of a venomous snake’s fangs isn’t particularly high, they are hollow inside for injecting venom, and facing Rein’s intermediate Steel Body was like biting onto a steel plate!

Rein delivered a strong kick with a gust of wind to the head of the second shadow snake.

Snap!

Although this shadow snake didn’t shatter, it too became a dead snake from that blow.

“Two snakes?”

“No… those kinds of snakes…” Rein immediately realized there was a problem.

The next second, ‘Cookie’ the Spiritual Body war dog, sleeping soundly on the ground floor, immediately woke up, while ‘Blood Feather’, the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle, quickly flew to the sky from the outdoor training field.

…

Meanwhile, Holdan in the garden experienced a sharp pain in his mind!

“Huh? Why is the target’s body so tough! Some kind of talent?”

“Also, how could their awareness be so sharp?”

“Fuck! The Black Flame Church is such crap, giving me shitty intelligence. What was supposed to be a fail-proof operation turned into a failure.”

However, without any hesitation, the frustrated Holdan turned and left.

Rein, on the other hand, immediately activated ‘Eyes of the Beast’, and using the perspective of the Blood Feathered Horned Eagle, he overlooked the entire Earl’s estate.

All of a sudden, a dark figure flashed through the garden.

This made Rein’s eyes narrow.

Without any time to put on Knight Armor again, Rein picked up some Hardened Essence Gold lying nearby, transformed it onto his body, creating a half-body armor reminiscent of ancient Greek armor, covering his vitals.

Then, he picked up the Skull Warhammer beside him, and with a “thump!”, he leaped out of the window, quickly chasing after the dark figure.

The sound of the broken window obviously alarmed others nearby.

Holdan looked back with a sneer.

“You think you can catch up to me?”

“Wait, that’s not right!”

Once he turned around again, he saw Rein, who was supposed to be bathing, wearing a piece of half-body armor.

He couldn’t help but curse softly:

“Fuck, who the hell wears half-body armor in the bath?”

“What a weirdo!”

The next second, his figure disappeared into the shadows.

As Rein, who was rapidly closing in, suddenly lost track of the other, he immediately stopped and began to observe carefully.

However, although Rein had stopped,

The Spiritual Body war dog ‘Cookie’ did not; sniffing the ground, its eyes lit up, immediately looking in a certain direction, and continuing to rush forward quickly.

“Woof, woof!”

“Thud!”

Cookie was kicked away, but this exposed Holdan’s position once again!

“Fuck! Damn dog!”

“Swoosh!”

This caught the ever-watchful Rein’s attention, and he immediately seized the opportunity, throwing a Hardened Essence Gold shaft transformed into a short spear!

Faced with the incoming short spear, Holdan naturally chose to dodge instead of taking the hit, but this reduced his speed once again.

This brought the distance between the two men much closer.

And with another interference from the Spiritual Body war dog ‘Cookie’, Rein managed to corner Holdan.

Thus, two figures near the estate’s main gate started to engage in intense combat.

Holdan used two metal spikes over thirty centimeters long; such conical weapons are best at penetrating armor, and although Rein possessed the talent ‘Intermediate Steel Body’, he was unwilling to experience the consequences of being stabbed.

The enemy, while wielding the metal spikes, was surrounded by serpent-like black mist, which provided defense and occasionally launched sudden, almost instantaneous bursts of black airflow at Rein, quite powerful.

Rein had never encountered such a fighting style before….
