Chapter 691: Chapter 273: Proof (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)_4

A maid in her thirties, distinguished in appearance, stood at one end of the corridor.

Alexandra glanced at Shadia and then at Reine, and suddenly burst out laughing, saying,

“Oh? Lord Reine, so you like this type?”

“She looks like a nun on the outside, but gets wild, doesn’t she? It seems you enjoy the contrast! Sister understands.”

Alexandra’s voice wasn’t lowered deliberately, so Shadia heard everything loud and clear.

Shadia’s usually calm face could no longer hold back, and she turned red, quickly turning and stumbling away…

“Tsk! This flirty minx, it’s time for the miss to deal with her!” Shadia muttered resentfully.

However, for some reason, the image of Reine’s young and robust figure floated through the Chief Maid’s mind….

—————–

That night.

In Meister County, southwest of Flashgold Town, the Elim Mine.

A group of people cloaked in black robes gradually made their way deeper into the mine.

Shortly, after passing an intersection in the mine, several cloaked figures stopped at a newly excavated area with an amber-hued, semi-transparent wall.

A colossal creature, barely visible through the amber wall, seemed to have been sealed within by some formidable power, but the seal’s energy had depleted over the long years.

Two members of the Secret Snake Sect immediately grew excited, but Great Priest Ganon quickly calmed down, saying,

“This is the Earth Snake, no doubt!”

“Lord Raksul, please tell us, what do you need us to do?”

Raksul regarded the other approvingly, thinking that he indeed was no amateur.

“Our mission this time is to undermine the Dragan Empire’s rule over Meister. Currently, there are truly two matters for which we need your sect’s assistance.”

“The first matter is a minor inconvenience we’ve encountered. There’s a veteran Great Knight named Reine, guarding Meister’s Earl Habbs and his offspring. I hope your sect can help us eliminate him.”

“Hmm?”

“Just a veteran Great Knight?” Great Priest and Holdan exchanged glances, both incredulous.

Such a simple condition for exchange?

“Don’t underestimate him, though he is just a veteran Great Knight, he’s also a captain of the Golden Sword Bearers, and his combat prowess should not be underestimated.”

Raksul noted their expressions, decided to share all the information he had.

After all, if the Secret Snake Sect’s members failed, it would be of no benefit to his own side, and the sect might even think he had set them up.

If he explained the situation clearly, and they still failed, he wouldn’t have to take the blame.

“A Golden Sword Bearer?” Great Priest Ganon still kept his smile and nodded, continuing to ask, “How capable is he?”

“The veteran Great Knight, also possesses intermediate or Advanced Secret Skills in hammering, very powerful. Moreover, he’s suspected to have a natural talent for stamina, capable of executing multiple secret techniques consecutively without exhaustion.”

Raksul, while talking, passed some organized oral testaments from two surviving sect members to them.

It was not that Raksul intentionally hid anything, but the golem guards were a sect secret that naturally could not be revealed directly, yet he felt he had explained everything else quite clearly.

Moreover, there was a mist in the forest at the time, and the surviving sect members, most impressed by Reine repeatedly knocking down golem guards, hadn’t really seen the moment Reine used his shield to block.

“Special talent, and he also possesses intermediate or even Advanced Secret Skills?”

“That does sound a bit tricky, I’ll leave this matter to you, Holdan.” Great Priest Ganon’s smile faded as he turned to Holdan beside him.
