Wizard starting from shoeing donkeys

Chapter 652: Chapter 264: Epic! (Two-in-One Mega Chapter)

Having just mastered two new secret techniques, if it weren’t for the lack of a training area in his own villa, Rein would have liked to practice a bit, but for now, he could only suppress the eager anticipation in his heart.

“My own Weapon Master (Legendary) profession, combined with the innate wizardry ‘Metal Morphing Spell,’ is naturally suitable for different combat scenarios.”

“In other words, relying on the nearly instant ‘Metal Morphing Spell,’ my legendary profession—Weapon Master—has become greatly strengthened!”

“First of all, I don’t need to carry six or seven types of weapons to adapt to different combat scenes anymore, which significantly reduces my burden.”

“In future battles, I just need to carry a reasonable amount of special metals to achieve the effect of carrying multiple weapons.”

“Secondly, the sudden transformation of my weapon during combat, and the resulting drastic change in fighting style, will certainly catch the enemy by surprise.”

Thinking of this, Rein’s brows relaxed, and a smile appeared on his face.

“This is precisely where the ‘Metal Morphing Spell’ and my role as a Weapon Master—this Legendary profession—fit together perfectly!”

“It has an effect that is far greater than the sum of its parts!”

“I can imagine, in a certain battle, my weapon shifting from a Two-Handed Warhammer to a suddenly thrown spear. The surprise of the enemy may cause them to falter, allowing me to seize the opportunity…”

“Of course, to forge iron, you also need to be strong yourself.”

“Last, and most importantly, I need to ensure that every weapon I create through the ‘Metal Morphing Spell’ is mastered to the level of a secret technique!”

“That would be impressive!”

Rein sighed to himself.

“However, I have limited Skill Points, so I can’t enhance everything. Therefore, I need to think carefully… ”

A Knight or Great Knight using a variety of weapons isn’t difficult; mastering one or two types of weapons isn’t too hard either.

But to master a multitude of weapons is very hard!

That process requires an enormous amount of time and energy for intense training, and that’s under the premise of having decent talent.

As for doing what Rein has done, mastering a secret technique in nearly every category of Transcendent Combat Skills for various types of weapons…

That is extremely difficult!

“The Hammer secret technique is acquired, and is the only one that has reached the level of an Advanced Secret Skill, suitable for dealing with powerful individuals or huge, ferocious wild beasts…”

“The Sonic secret technique is acquired, suitable for dealing with groups of enemies, but whose strengths aren’t too formidable…”

“It’s just a bit of a pity. If there were other group attack secret techniques, even if the enemy’s strength was greater, I could wipe them out! I’m still short on group attack methods.”

Rein mused to himself.

“The Single-handed Axe and Shield secret techniques are also acquired… They’re more suitable for defense and counterattacks, or when you can’t find an opportunity to attack in the short term…”

“I don’t have a long-range attack secret technique yet!”

“If Hardened Essence Gold were turned into a bow, the flexibility of the bow limbs would be too poor, and its power inferior to projectile weapons, just like today during the counterattack, the first thing I used was the Metal Morphing Spell to create a short spear.”

“It seems… the next step would be to try and find a Transcendent Combat Skill involving throwing! Of course, it would be even better to have an offensive metal-based Wizardry, but that’s a bit harder to come by. I should start by looking for throwing Transcendent Combat Skills, which should be relatively easier.”

After pondering for a while, Rein summarized his insights on the conditions under which various weapons should be used.

Now that he had figured it out, Rein immediately began to review the skills under his Weapon Master (Legendary) profession panel.

Several minutes later.

He focused his attention on ‘Kadar Martial Arts.’

Rein had no Skill Points left now, but his Kadar Martial Arts had already advanced from lv10 during his initial transition to Weapon Master to lv12 after several battles.

Which meant that subsequent enhancements would require only Golden Skill Points.

Why did he choose to enhance ‘Kadar Martial Arts’?

Because after thinking it over, Rein believed that closing the distance to fight Wizards at high speed and with high-frequency attacks could result in quite effective outcomes.

Analyzing from the psychology of enemies typically skilled in witchcraft, or say, long-range attacks, being up close and personal in physical combat could cause them to panic to some extent.

Moreover, in a confined environment, Kadar Martial Arts could also prove extremely effective, something that was clearly evident in his previous cave battle against the Sea God Sect envoy Myarco.

Therefore, Rein decided to enhance his Kadar Martial Arts.

Of course, he also wanted to see what kind of secret technique Kadar Martial Arts would bring.

Let’s not forget, Kadar Martial Arts had two techniques.

As the Golden Skill Points were invested, Kadar Martial Arts instantly advanced to lv13, and Rein, as if transported to a mysterious space, underwent what seemed to be years of grueling training in Kadar Martial Arts in an instant.

When Rein came to his senses, the system prompt arrived as expected:

[Congratulations, you have comprehended the Basic Secret Technique of Kadar Martial Arts: Heavy Punch Combo!]

[Congratulations, you have comprehended the Basic Secret Technique of Kadar Martial Arts: Rapid Cutting!]

…

“Just as expected! Two techniques, giving rise to two secret techniques!” Rein expressed his delight.

At the same time, he quickly saw two brand new icons located right above ‘Kadar Martial Arts’ on his Weapon Master (Legendary) panel.

…

The descriptions are as follows:

Heavy Punch Combo (Basic Secret Technique) effect: Utilizes a special force exertion method that combines inner strength with martial arts to deliver several powerful punches with destructive force in an extremely short time.
