Chapter 654: 264

“I estimate that you will be able to master it in no more than a month or two,”

Rein listened and looked at Arcadian Swordsmanship, his eyes shining brightly!

“Right, although I’m no longer a match for you now, if it’s just practicing Arcadian Swordsmanship, Rein, you can come to me anytime if you want,” Cleya suggested.

Swordsmanship practice?

Rein felt his heart stir upon hearing this.

It immediately reminded him of the practice sessions he had with Cleya.

Based on the situation at that time, calling it practice wasn’t quite accurate; it was more like a one-sided teaching from Cleya.

Thinking back on those moments brought a knowing smile to Rein’s face.

“Thank you, Lady Cleya, I hope you will give me guidance when the time comes.”

“You’re welcome, Rein, don’t forget, you are now my Guardian Knight.”

…

Because Cleya’s luxurious carriage was drawn by four horses, its speed was not much slower than that of the Cavalry.

The entire convoy sped along, and by noon, they had already reached the territory of Welsh County, about two hours away from the agreed meeting point.

However, at noon, the convoy naturally needed to adjust and rest, and soon enough, several campfires were lit in a roadside forest clearing.

Gathering firewood and cooking were naturally not tasks for Rein and Cleya to worry about; the butler Yodel and Chief Maid Shadia had already organized everything methodically.

During the break, Rein approached Cleya and said, “Lady Cleya, if possible, I’d like to ask you to teach me a bit about Arcadian Swordsmanship.”

“Hmm?”

Cleya’s beautiful eyes looked at Rein with puzzlement.

“Rein, don’t tell me you’ve already gotten the basics down? Just in that short time on the carriage?”

“I’ve got a bit of an understanding. If Lady Cleya can spare the time to teach me, I believe I’ll be able to master it very quickly.”

Although Cleya didn’t quite believe it, she immediately nodded in agreement.

“Of course, I can.”

The two then went to a clearing in the forest.

“Rein, we’ve agreed, you can only use Arcadian Swordsmanship, otherwise, I’m no match for you,” Cleya said with a smile.

“Naturally,” Rein replied with a smile.

…

Suddenly, the clearing was filled with two swiftly moving figures, and the sound of their clashing weapons rang out frequently.

Even though it was just a sparring match, the elite knights sitting and resting on the side watched with great interest.

Arcadian Swordsmanship was bold and extravagant in attack, and even Cleya, the less capable of the two, possessed the strength of a Peak Knight – a level seemingly unattainable in the eyes of the knights.

Minutes later, the fast-moving figures abruptly came to a stop.

Cleya’s heaving chest betrayed her state of exertion, and her beautiful eyes gazed at Rein in disbelief.

True, the Arcadian Swordsmanship Rein had just used could scarcely be called proficient, obviously putting him at a disadvantage, yet Cleya could clearly feel Rein’s control over Arcadian Swordsmanship improving slowly throughout the process.

This grasp of Extraordinary Battle Technique was utterly terrifying!

It made Cleya somewhat understand why Rein’s strength had grown so formidable in just half a year’s time.

At the same time, Cleya quickly considered another question, and glancing at the ‘Skull Warhammer’ at Rein’s waist, she couldn’t help but ask:

“Rein, are you skilled in several Extraordinary Battle Techniques?”

Because the day before, she had personally witnessed Rein kill the ‘Ice Messenger’ Grant, clearly using a short spear.

“Ah… yes, Lady Cleya,” Rein pondered briefly before nodding in agreement.

“In addition to the Dual-Handed Greatsword, you must also be good at Hammer Skill. Is there anything else?”

“Well… also the shield, Single-handed Axe…”

Cleya was momentarily at a loss for words.

Such a talent for quickly mastering Extraordinary Battle Techniques was truly…

“Rein, you’re already skilled with so many weapons. Even in the Imperial City, I’ve hardly seen anyone with the talent or ability you have.”

“It’s very rare indeed.”

However, Cleya then appeared thoughtful, as if something had occurred to her, and continued: “But your talent, it reminds me of a race from Ancient Times that resembles you.”

“An Ancient race?” Rein’s eyebrows raised with apparent interest.

“Yes, have you ever heard of it? Ancient Giant Trolls.”

“Uh-huh!” Rein’s eyes lit up.

Of course, he had heard of them. Not only had he heard, but he had also consulted several related ancient texts.

Cleya nodded and explained:

“The Ancient Giant Trolls once lived in primeval forests. In those forests, there were many fierce and wild beasts, giant creatures, and even more terrifying Ancient creatures. The living environment was extremely harsh, but they were able to establish a mighty empire of Ancient Giant Trolls.”

“This was closely related to the valiant and skillful combat abilities of the Ancient Giant Trolls.”

“Basically, every adult troll was extremely good at using various weapons for combat, just like you. They would use Dual-Handed Greatswords, Warhammers, long spears, various throwing weapons, and so on in battle.”

“For this, they even established ancient and majestic coliseums to showcase their bravery. Not only did they fight against giant beasts, but they also fought amongst themselves.”

“Among the most valiant and skilled warriors, they would determine the strongest master of weapons, who would be honored with the title ‘King of Thousand Blades’ and hold a lofty position within the tribe….”
