The First Store System

Chapter 898: Quest Complete!

As Bretton and his underlings entered the weapons room, it became overcrowded. Fortunately for them, the space inside the pillars was infinite, so it didnʼt matter how many of them entered at once.

Aakesh, on the other hand, had a smile spread across his face after Bretton made the purchase. He only expected Bretton to buy weapons, but in the end, he also bought training areas for his underlings, completing both requirements set by the system for the weaponʼs quest.

Soon after all seventeen participants entered the training area, automated alerts began ringing in his head.

[Ding!]

[Host, congratulations on completing the quest objective: Sell weapons and training area to ten customers!]

[The ”mission reward: Seven new types of weapons” will be given after the storeʼs closing.]

[Please see the following screen for your second quest!]

The next moment, a blue screen containing the details of the second weaponʼs quest appeared in front of Aakesh.

[Mission Sequence: Second

Objective: Sell weapons and training hours,

Details: With the purchase from Bretton and his underlings, the store had fulfilled the previous criteria of the quest. Itʼs not the time to celebrate, but itʼs only the beginning. Work even more diligently to make more and more customers interested in the product.

Number of weapons you need to sell: 1000,

Number of customers or training hours: 1000 customers/5000 training hours*,

Days required: One Month,

Mission reward: Availability of Higher level weapons for sale and training,

Failure Punishment: The disappearance of seven types of weapons and the sales commission will turn to zero at the eligible productʼs sale for the next three years.]

*- (5000 trivial, normal, moderate, or difficult) training hours = 1000 Immortal training hours = 500 Gods and Demons training hours.)

Aakesh heard all the alerts and soon focused on the blue screen in front of him.

There was an addition of a new section on the screen: Mission Sequence. Aakesh only took a look at it and then continued reading further.

pan(da-n0vel.c)om”> Aakesh moved quickly toward other sections, his eyes only stopping when they reached the requirements. pan(da-n0vel.c)om

The new requirements for the second quest were a hundred times more demanding than the previous ones for weapons and the training area. Aakesh didnʼt fret much since this kind of jump in criteria was expected by the system.

Aakesh then proceeded further and saw the deadline. The deadline had also increased to one month, making Aakesh breathe a sigh of relief in his heart. While the deadlines only increased slightly, the systemʼs quest conditions multiplied severalfold, making the mission even more difficult. It wasnʼt the case in this condition. Aakesh thought that it was the initial grace shown to him by the system.

Once the store got to a certain level of stability in the city, the system would go back to its crazy rules.

Aakesh then read the quest rewards provided by the system, and he nodded in appreciation when he saw them. The store already had a few Divine Lord customers, so the earlier the items arrived for them, the better for the store.

Aakesh only took a casual glance at the punishment since he didnʼt care much about it unless the punishment was related to his well-being. Similar to past quests, the punishment was monetary.

Aakeshʼs eyes then fell on the training areaʼs requirement. In the training area, the system always provided a requirement choice: customers or training hours.

The same was the case here as well. Aakesh needed to have a thousand customers for training areas or sell five thousand training hours. There was a further breakdown in that. If he sold one thousand Immortal level difficulty training hours or five hundred Gods & Demons level training hours, the store would still fulfill the training areaʼs requirement.

A thousand customers sounded like a lot, but Aakesh didnʼt believe that the store wouldnʼt be able to achieve that in a month. For Aakesh, the low-level population was both an advantage and a disadvantage.

A disadvantage because it would take a long time for him to complete quests related to an expensive product like cultivation arts. An advantage because their sheer number would help him have a large base of customers for the weapons/Pills/Panagea.

Aakesh waved his hands, and soon after, the quest screen disappeared.

Since no customer was waiting for him to tend to them, Aakesh closed his eyes and began another of his relaxation sessions.

Time flew by, and soon an hour had passed in a flash.

A golden light had filled the overcrowded weapons room as a bunch of people were standing around the pillar referring to the blade with a golden transparent barrier covering them.

The silence had permeated every corner of the room, but at that moment, the golden barrier around sixteen of the seventeen people began to crack, and soon it completely disintegrated.

The majority of the sixteen had disappointed expressions as they wanted to stay for longer, but a sudden arrival of an invisible and unbeatable force had thrown them out when their hour was complete.

If it were any other store, these sixteen Thorrons would have made a racket in front of the store owner, but they had also heard about the rumors of how the non-demon store owner killed the men of Garoun with only a glance. At the same time, Bretton had also warned them against acting as they deemed fit in the store.

The sixteen were disappointed, but they didnʼt cause any chaos and began to leave the weapons room, following one another.

Ten lesser Sacred stones were a large sum for people like them who were accustomed to enjoying their lives. At night, they would spend whatever money they had made during the day on prostitutes. They lived a carefree life since they didnʼt tend to their families. They had been enjoying this lifestyle for as long as they could remember, and only today did they slightly regret it.

As for why they regretted it only today, the feeling of battling without any fear of death and realistic pain and blood simulated their hearts.

If they had even saved a few stones of what they earned, then they wouldnʼt have to leave the store disappointed. But alas, there was no medicine for past regrets. It was now up to them whether they would change their lifestyle for the store.
