Chapter 858: Skills and Upgrades!

Aakesh didnʼt make the status screen disappear since the skills were still left to check. Instead, he tapped on the class section, and the next moment, a blue screen containing the details of the newly-upgraded class appeared in front of him.

[Class: Watcher,

Details: The world of Panagea selects a creature to watch over all the beings residing in the world, and that being gets the title, ʼThe Watcherʼ.

Level: Mythical,

Current Ability: The Watcher can watch over all the details of the being 1000 Yojana(1 Yojana= 8 miles) around them…]

Before the upgrade, Aakesh used to gain ten percent of the reward after witnessing a fortunate event. After the upgrade, that number had grown to fifteen percent.

It sounded less, but keep in mind that Aakeshʼs current level and the level when Aakesh got the class had a greater chasm than heaven and earth. Even a one percent increase would now result in a greater gain.

In fact, if Aakesh had an eleven percent increase before today, he would have gained two levels from witnessing the ritual and the wishes.

Aakeshʼs range of watching over the beings had also grown by hundred times, but since Aakesh never found himself interested enough to see what the others were doing, the increase meant nothing much to him.

Aakesh then waved his hands, and the class screen disappeared, waiting for Aakesh to call it back. Aakesh then returned his focus to the status screen and his skills.

When Aakesh had first gotten the class, his skills had automatically seen an upgrade. The same was the case here, as he noticed several of his skills shining splendidly on the status screen.

The first skill was Wolfbane. It was the first skill Aakesh had ever received in Panagea. He had been awarded it as a bonus prize for completing his first quest with remarkable success.

Aakesh noticed the skill was also one of those, shining brighter than usual on the status screen, so Aakesh tapped on it.

The next moment, an additional blue screen containing the details of the skill appeared in front of him.

[Skill name: Wolfbane,

Level: Level 3,

Ability: It gives the user a psychological edge over the wolves. No mental effect of wolves below Level 300 would occur on the user, and similarly, the wolves below Level 250 will fear the user, wolves below Level 300 have only a minimal effect, and wolves between Level 301 and 310 may or may not get affected by the user,

Condition of growth: Train the skill to perfection.]

The skill, Wolfbane, had automatically gotten upgraded even though the condition for the growth was to train it. Aakesh hadnʼt used the skill at all since he had outgrown it quite a long time ago.

After upgrading to Level 3, the skill saw exponential growth as the level cap grew to Level 300.

”Finally worthy of the first reward,” Aakesh murmured as the skill could finally come to his use. The level cap was 300. Even though Aakesh had defeated a Level 300 creature, Aakesh didnʼt get cocky for even a moment, thinking that he would be able to kill every Level 300 after today.

Aakesh would most likely succeed in killing Level 300 after today, but the adventurers werenʼt the only ones to have a class. Mythical grade classes were rare, but Aakesh had still come across a few creatures who had one.

The skill Wolfbane only affected wolves, but it was still okay, as it would be years, if not decades before Aakesh reached Level 300.

Aakesh then stopped thinking about it since these were things for later. He returned his focus to the status screen.

Aakesh then tapped on the next skill shining on the screen after making Wolfbaneʼs details disappear.

The next moment, a new blue window containing the details of the skill appeared in front of him.

[Skill name: Ability-Learning,

Ability: It allows the user to copy the witnessed skills of being weaker or defeated by the owner. The user can now use the copied skill a hundred times,

Level: Level 3,

Condition of the growth: Finding the Level 4 knowledge,

Copied skill: Sword-Projection, Elephant-Projection, Sword-Flash….]

The condition of growth seemed not to matter for the skills, as despite it being something different, the upgrade of the class forcefully made its level increase. It was the ability of a unique class, so Aakeshʼs strength grew several times what it could be seen on the outside.

It has been a long time since Aakesh used the skill since he had used his quota of three skills quite earlier.

At the same time, Level 3 seemed to be a large jump, as the number of three uses had grown to a hundred after the upgrade.

”Another good upgrade,” Aakesh murmured, as he liked the skill and had many practical copied skills.

Aakesh then returned his focus to the status screen and tapped on another skill. Time continued to fly by and Aakesh found all his skills that had levels being upgraded after the class upgrade.

It was now finally time for Aakesh to check the class-related skills, so he tapped on the first one.

The next moment, its details appeared on a new screen.

[Skill name: Universal Eye,

Ability: Itʼs a skill unique to the class, Watcher. It allows the owner of the skill to select any being in the area of 100 Yojanas around them, and then they can watch over any actions, with the person being unaware,

Level: Level 2,

Condition of the growth: Upgrade of the class Watcher to Divine,

Restriction: The level of the watched being shouldnʼt exceed the level of the owner by more than fifteen levels.]

The skillʼs range had grown tenfold, and the level restrictions had also risen. In the past, Aakesh would see those who exceeded his level by ten levels in gray on the projection screen. Now that difference had grown to fifteen levels.

Aakesh was now a Level 295, so even a Level increase was worth years of effort, so Aakesh could now see several times more beings. It would help Aakesh get greater rewards from witnessing the fortunate event due to high power levels.

Aakesh then tapped on the most important skill to gain rewards.

[Skill name: Fortune-Eye,

Ability: It allows the user to see the fate line of the being in the area of 10 Yojana around him,

Level: Level 2,

Condition for growth: Upgrade of the Class Watcher to Divine,

Restriction: The level of the selected being shouldnʼt exceed the level of the owner by more than fifteen levels,

Warning: What is shown may not give the expected result since the number of fate lines can change anytime.]

Similar to the previous skill, Aakeshʼs range to check fate lines had also grown tenfold after the class upgrade.
