The First Store System

Chapter 886: Katanaean(1)

After Frederick left, Aakesh closed the door, bringing an end to a fruitful day for the store.

The next moment, both of them disappeared from the store and appeared in the selection area.

Lily only glanced at Aakesh and then went toward her usual training area.

After Lily left, Aakesh went to the weapons section and picked up one for todayʼs battle. He then went to his right, chose his usual training environment, and pressed the switch.

The next moment, the space around him cracked, turning into a portal, and sucked Aakesh inside.

When the light returned to Aakeshʼs eyes, he found himself in the familiar battle arena.

Soon after, a familiar blue screen popped out in front of him. Aakesh didnʼt choose his options right away but looked at his weapon. He nodded since it was the sword. Aakesh then tapped on the blue window to begin the first stage.

The next moment, a blue light engulfed the arena, and when it disappeared, a second person had come with it on the stage.

As Aakesh saw the creature, he raised his eyes in surprise.

The creature in front of Aakesh was a race that had long gone extinct in the multiverse. It was a race born in the third dimension.

The creature in front of him belonged to the race Katanaean. Katanaeans had a humanoid physique with elongated arms and fingers. They were of average human height, with their skin a mixture of blue and purple. The same was the combination of their eyes.

One eye had purple sclera and blue pupil, while the other had blue sclera and purple pupil.

If someone looked at their bodies they would get the feeling of agility and flexibility. It was a race born to be an overlord of swords.

The race had a natural affinity with swordplay, and they spent all their life either battling or training. They not only had their physique made for swords, but their keen intellect was also high, giving them mastery over many difficult sword arts.

They were a formidable race of creatures that had the capability to stand at the top of the Multiverse with Devas and the other remaining top fifty races. But alas, they died before they could achieve the top fifty title.

(A/N: When I say top races, it isnʼt just a simple rank, but there are benefits for it. As for who judges the ranks of the races, it is one of the Devas. I will introduce what benefits are there for top-ranked races later in the future.)

Why they got extinct was their obsession with the swords. The reproduction in the race wasnʼt any good, and they felt the training to be more worth their efforts than bearing children. So the race had a low population.

In the historical conquest of Vritrasura, all the Katanaean were killed since they refused to join Vritrasura. And since their numbers were low, no progeny of their race survived the ordeal.

The swords Katanaens used werenʼt made of valuable materials, but it was made of spine bones. Katanaeans were born with excessive spine bones at their birth, and they would use that excess bones to create swords for themselves. The sword would then grow with them as their level and experience in swordplay increased.

”> Aakesh couldnʼt help but feel his blood boil in excitement at the scope of battling a Katanaen, a race known for its swordplay.

At the same time, Aakesh was also surprised. The last time he got the bow for the battle, his opponent turned out to be a Cosmic Elf, a race known for their peak archery skills. Today he got a sword, and he got Katanaean.

”Hey, system, are you manipulating the appearance of opponents?” Aakesh asked the system to satisfy his curiosity.

[No, Host! Itʼs your luck that is helping you get things you want.]

Aakesh didnʼt ask any more questions, as luck was an ethereal concept for even someone like him.

Now that Aakesh remembers it, his luck seemed to be off the charts in the last few days. He found an event that pushed him forward by a level in Panagea, Cosmic Elf, and now the Katanaean. Aakesh could only hope that his luck remained high when its time for the newest store product to arrive.

Panagea was also the case of his incredible luck in the Primal dimension.

Aakesh then looked at the sword used by his opponent.

The sword in the Katanaean was a truly fearsome sight to behold. It was made entirely of violet bones, intricately carved and polished to a glossy finish. The hilt was adorned with intricate patterns of battles, and the blade itself glowed with a faint violet light.

The sword was slightly curved, giving it a deadly and graceful appearance.

Overall, the sword was a weapon of great beauty and power, and it was sure to strike fear into the hearts of those who faced it in battle.

But for Aakesh, it raised the intensity of battling. He then looked at his sword, a fearsome weapon that even the darkness fretted about.

[Ding!]

As Aakesh was feeling excited thinking about the battle, the bell rang and announced the start of the fight.

The Katanaean, who had been standing on the stage with his eyes closed, finally opened them. Its movements were like a blur as it disappeared from its spot and charged at Aakesh.

Aakesh seemed to be unfazed by the opponentʼs movement. The power difference between the two parties was so vast that even with the heaven-defying sword skills, the Katanaean had no chance to change the outcome.

When the Katanaean was only a step away from Aakesh, he finally looked at his sword.

His movement seemed to be in slow motion as he raised his sword and casually brought it down.

The next moment, an illusion of the Katanaean and the arena splitting into two appeared. Aakesh hadnʼt used the amount of strength that could damage the arena, so things were fine on its side, but not the Katanaean.

The Katanaean, who had been casual about the battle since the start, had a shine in its eyes when the invisible blade, created from the swordʼs casual slash, split it into two.
