Chapter 896: Brettonʼs Vow!

As Brettonʼs eyes fell on the mural related to the blade, he found himself in a different place.

In front of him, there was a battle going on between two sides of several thousand soldiers. Suddenly, a man with a blade made his move against the other side.

The manʼs movements were so quick that in no time, the opponent was cut into pieces, while not even a hint of blood was present on the blade. It was only the beginning, as the man began to cut soldiers like he was cutting vegetables. Wherever he passed, a blood rain would follow him.

Bretton felt a mix of emotions going through his heart as he witnessed the scene of the massacre.

As the man alone decimated the entire army, the vision came to an end, and Bretton found himself back in the weapons room.

At that moment, Brettonʼs entire back was wet with sweat while beads of perspiration flew smoothly down his forehead.

ʼWHAT WAS THAT?ʼ Bretton screamed in his heart with fear as the scene of the blood rain was still present in his mind.

It took some time for him to slow his heartbeat and calm down. After calming himself, Bretton slowly moved his eyes toward the murals on the wall.

Even though he was frightened by what he saw there, he wanted to watch more at the same time. Bretton could feel that he had learned something after witnessing the massacre without any offensive spells, but only through the skillful use of the quick blade.

The next moment, the murals of the scene he had seen a few moments earlier appeared in his eyes. But this time, things remained normal, and he stayed there.

Bretton didnʼt give up and moved toward the next mural related to the blade. Things went unexpectedly as nothing of such sort happened. Bretton saw the painting on the wall. He could only feel that the mural was extraordinary and nothing more than that.

Bretton tried a few more times, finding other murals, but the scenes repeated themselves. Nothing like the first time happened, and he could only see the murals from the store.

Bretton took a deep breath as he gave up on trying to check more murals. He then turned around and exited the weapons room.

Bretton still wanted weapons, but he also wanted to understand the murals because Aakesh hadnʼt talked to him about them when Aakesh introduced him to the weapons.

”Store owner, whatʼs with the murals painted on the walls? After seeing the first mural about blades, I found myself in a different place, witnessing the scenes on the mural from my point of view. I tried again with other murals, but nothing of the sort happened.”

”> Bretton spoke in one breath without wasting any time and then went on to share the scene with Aakesh.

Aakesh, who had opened his eyes after sensing Brettonʼs approach, answered, ”These murals are a bonus for the talented users of the weapons. They are limited to one to every customer in their lifetime. Since you are more skilled with the quick blade than most of your competitors, you were able to see one of the quick bladeʼs applications in action.”

”Whatʼs the level of the weapon and the skill?” Bretton asked after a pause. He finally understood why he failed to get any extraordinary feelings from the murals that werenʼt related to the quick blade and why he only found himself immersed in one mural.

”Since the store only sells Lesser level weapons, the murals are limited to Lesser level weapons and the peak skillset any cultivator could learn at this level.”

Bretton felt an explosion in his head after he heard Aakesh. ”Was that the skill of a Divine Being cultivator? How can that be?” Bretton mumbled in a daze.

The statement from Aakesh showed Bretton a world he had never seen before. After hearing Aakesh, Bretton couldnʼt help but put himself in the manʼs position as he sliced his enemies like vegetables without the use of any spell and only his blade.

Brettonʼs breathing got rough but soon calmed down as Aakeshʼs subsequent words put cold water over his head.

”The mural showed the absolute limit of what any Divine Being cultivator could achieve with the quick blade, but it doesnʼt mean you would be able to if you saw it.”

Time flew by, and a few minutes passed in the blink of an eye.

After conversing with Aakesh about the murals, Bretton returned to the weapons room.

After returning, Bretton looked again at the mural of the man cutting the soldiers from another side. ʼI will be in your place one day!ʼ Bretton vowed in his heart.

Aakesh had told him that was the absolute peak of what a Divine Being level cultivator could achieve, so he was going to achieve that. From that moment on, Bretton pushed the goal of becoming a Divine Lord deep into his heart. Until he reached that stage, he wouldnʼt try to break through. Since the lifespan was unlimited in the Sacred dimension, there was no point in worrying about dying due to low levels. Also, Aakesh had told him that a peak Divine Being level cultivator with that skill set could even defeat an early Divine Lord, which is unheard of for the people in the Kingdom.

Bretton made a promise to himself and then turned to the five columns that represented the five different kinds of weapons the shop sold. Similar to his experience in the storeʼs hall, Bretton could feel that the materials used here were expensive and valuable, but since he couldnʼt recognize them, he lost interest in them.

Bretton then found the pillar referring to the blade and proceeded in that direction.

There were four sections referring to the blade on the shelf. Since Bretton was only an intermediate Divine Being, he could either use the Top grade blade or go below for ordinary and medium.

Bretton had no interest in going for a lower grade, so he reached the third section and tried to take a blade out.

The next moment, Bretton found his hands holding a weapon, so he took it out. Soon after, his sight was greeted by a blade that measured thirty inches.
