Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 1038: Chapter 144: Plane 1

”We’ve struck it rich, really struck it rich this time!!”

Inside an interstellar fortress, Huang Yuanli rushed excitedly toward the fully-stocked weapon rack, featuring Tier 3 Ray Guns, Electromagnetic Field Control Guns, Energy Blades, 0-Weight Space Armor, Tier 3 AI Chips, Temporary Enhancement Needles, and Nanometer Repair Devices.

Honestly, although the Federation’s warship technology is mediocre, their individual weaponry is truly superior in performance!

Even Whiteboard-level equipment can rival some of the Fine and Superior-level gear of the same tier.

Take the ’Energy Blade’ that Gao Gong himself finds impressive, for instance.

Name: Type III Energy Blade

Category: Energy Blade

Quality: Tier 3 - Whiteboard

Weight: 5.4kg

Basic Attributes: DPS: 25000, Attack Power: 25000, Attack Speed: 1 attack/second, Attack Range: 1.5 meters

Additional Attributes: Burning, Energy Penetration

Note: A custom product from the Mirta Federation Armament Manufacturing Bureau, every Federation soldier has one.

A Whiteboard weapon with 25,000 attack—you don’t even need a bicycle.

Gao Gong picked up an Energy Blade, or to be precise, the blade’s hand grip, which is metallic with a noticeable curvature. The most eye-catching feature is the series of energy rings encircling the grip.

This is the essence of the entire grip.

According to Gao Gong’s understanding, it requires mastering both ’Energy Science’ and ’High-tier Materials Science’ from Tier 3 Knowledge Points, paired with level 90 Mechanic, to develop the blueprint.

Once the blueprint is developed, mass production would render it worthless.

This must be the basic version; higher damage versions do not exist in the Planet Factory.

With a gentle push from Gao Gong, a blade light of 1.5 meters surged out, sizzling with brightness comparable to a flash grenade. A light swing split the nearby metal box in two.

”Boss, are you here to restock?” Dr. Rong asked in shock.

”Inventory completed, 3 million Energy Blades, 1 million Tier 3 Ray Guns, 500 thousand Electromagnetic Field Control Guns...”

Another faction’s Advanced NPC, Host Brain, completed the tally and displayed an electronic list on the face screen.

Seeing this, Gao Gong shook his head silently.

As the faction upgrades, some old companions start lagging, like Dr. Rong, who still can only produce level 20 mechanical species, and Host Brain, who only completed the ’Brain Mechanization’ transformation, with computational power comparable to high-tier chips, far inferior to Quantum Computers, not to mention Planet Computers.

With players progressing, these ’Newbie Village’ NPCs logically would phase out.

But Gao Gong is not one to abandon old for new.

He loves ’old wine in new bottles’ as much as he cherishes mature ladies.

Moreover, upgrading mechanical-path NPCs is easy as long as the technology is sound.

Take Dr. Rong: after conquering the planet, Gao Gong plans to transform him into a Tier 3 Spark Mechanism and entrust him with Spark Mechanical Life’s production line.

As for Host Brain, he prepares to completely upload its consciousness, for how can there be a planet without a Planet Computer?

Even Tier 3 Mechanician Chawei, who they kidnapped, Gao Gong found a disciple for him—Huang Wen, one of the earliest Old Hunters, also a Tier 1 Mechanician, has not transformed into ’Imperial Guard,’ instead handling the faction’s network communications.

”Brother, I’ve detected a special virtual plugin entering our data system; it claims to know you.”

Gao Yuanyuan’s voice suddenly echoed in Gao Gong’s ear.

Gao Gong knew who she was referring to—Lolita, the sealed Host Consciousness of the planet.

”Don’t let her enter our information center, ignore her for the rest.”

”Got it,” Gao Yuanyuan replied cleverly, quickly mentioning another issue.

”Moreover, brother, someone is secretly investigating us recently. The mastermind is unclear, but we have identified the investigator.”

Gao Yuanyuan shared the electronic dossier with Gao Gong—

Real name unknown, Interstellar Black Market code: Ti Yangqi, Legendary Interstellar Mercenary, Space Beast Tamer, completed level 5 mercenary tasks 3382 times, level 6 mercenary tasks 121 times, with a success rate of 61.3%...

”Ti Yangqi?”

Gao Gong hadn’t heard of the person but knew about ’Ti Yangqi,’ the Sky Giant Beast.

’Ti Yangqi,’ also known as Space Giant Whale, is a gentle Sky Giant Beast with a juvenile size already reaching Satellite-level, and an adult ’Ti Yangqi’ can grow as large as a planet.

This is the limit of Space Giant Beasts; there are no Stellar-level Space Giant Beasts as stars are thousands of times larger than planets. A Stellar-level Giant Beast cannot complete self-energy metabolism in 99% of the universal environment.

Unless in some Space Beast Taming civilization...

Gao Gong quickly refocused, concentrating on the Legendary Level Mercenary.

This title is not ordinary, carrying immense value, requiring 100,000 interstellar reputation in three separate Star Zones to achieve Legendary Level.

Authentic Star System Legend.

”Was he hired to investigate us?”

Gao Gong frowned.

Legendary Mercenaries’ combat abilities are even secondary; their myriad skills make them formidable, with even Gao Yuanyuan, a Tier 3 Master of the Virtual, unable to lock their IP or confront them easily.

If detected... well, so what?

It’s impossible for the mastermind to know he has people, wealth, and fleets, yet forsake Resource Planets to wage war against him?

He believed he hadn’t offended such a mighty foe.

Realizing this, Gao Gong immediately felt the world broaden.

Being low-key is only for the sake of pretending; he could flaunt now, why be low-key!

”Let them be, investigate if they want, let’s see if they dare come and challenge me!”

High Boss issued a bold personal declaration.

...

Though the faction boss isn’t concerned, players still need to complete missions to accumulate Alliance Points. ℯℯ𝘭.

Especially as they recently refreshed the faction list and found a series of Tier 3 equipment with overwhelmingly strong attributes.

Put simply, an Energy Blade’s attack intensity equates to a top player’s ultimate skill damage; it’s incredibly powerful!

The developers inflated values again, forcing players into a grind!

Despite numerous players furiously insulting the developers on forums after seeing the equipment attributes, they immediately began their grind empires once offline.

Tier 3 equipment!

Most players had just completed the First Transformation, reaching Tier 2, and now informed that grinding Alliance Points yields Tier 3 equipment, they were relentless in their grinding!

”Lucky me, just a step earlier, the ’patrol’ mission would have been snatched,” one player gazed at the forum, rejoicing.

”Can’t be snatched; participating in patrols requires space flight capabilities, and the likes of Plane with such manned flying abilities are rare, even among high-end players,” another player started praising the leading Mechanical Split Star Suit expert.

Plane has a unique advantage in patrol missions—his A+ grade Radiation Beast connected by bloodline, huge enough to carry hundreds.

The last such extraordinary bird belonged to Dugu Qiubai.

Plane’s remarkable bird is truly extraordinary.

Thus, Plane is amazing.
