Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 1010: Chapter 116: Inspection 2

In general, once you reach the size of a starship, its volume is at least ten times that of an aircraft carrier, reaching a hundred times is quite normal. This is the most basic scale of interstellar transportation tools.

However, the Galen Republic is known as a Level 3 interstellar power famous for its ’Giant Battleships’ and ’Big Cannons’.

Its giant ships are proper ’Giant Ships’, and the scale of a ’Giant Ship’ is at least planet-level.

So in a certain sense, the Ring Star Ship isn’t even the largest model; above it, there are planet-level and even stellar-level ships.

However, the reason why the ’Arc Great Wall’ is so famous is that its anti-search capability is far stronger than regular giant ships. The ’Space Bubble’ can be used not only as an energy source but also as a tool for searching in different dimensions, meaning that even if you are a dimensional lifeform, it’s almost impossible to escape being found.

Although the captains of these forcibly docked ships didn’t dare to resist, they were quarreling in the public channel, seemingly venting the grievances of being forcefully stopped.

’Who knows which fool offended the Galen people; it’s really damnable. My goods come from marine organisms in the remote Stellar Vortex. If they aren’t delivered to the Ocean Planet in time, they’ll die!’ yelled a soft-bodied lifeform captain in anger, his tentacles swelling on the holographic projection from rage.

’Could it be a fugitive? Discovered by the Galen people for stealing something?’

’Could they have stolen from the Galen’s core gene bank?’ A Tier 3 Carbon-Based Warrior’s eyes lit up as he spoke.

’You’re overthinking it. The Galen’s biotechnology isn’t advanced. It would be more plausible to say someone stole the Tier 3 ship blueprints,’ another captain rolled his eyes, whose body was a large eyeball, besides that, only eyelids.

’Look, what’s that!?’

’Such an eerie feeling!’

’Oh my, a ghost ship has been forced out!’

’Ghost ships are real!!’

In the eyes of everyone, within a space bubble, a transparent large ship formed by bizarre symbols, numbers, and images suddenly appeared.

The ghost ship kept protruding outward, yet the distance between itself and the material world grew further and further.

The captains’ eyes instantly took on a hint of terror.

It’s known that in interstellar society, there aren’t only Carbon-Based Species, Energy Species, Mechanical Species.

Virtual Life is a regular in interstellar society.

’Ghost Ship’ is similarly a nightmare along light-speed pathways.

Generally, as long as a ship reaches light-speed, it can avoid 90% of interstellar travel troubles, but these information ships can blend into light-speed, silently, they will erode the ship’s crew.

And the body of such ’Ghost Ships’ could be some large Information Life, could be seeds sown by Cosmic Evil Gods, could be dangerous viruses created by interstellar hackers, or even the tentacles extended by high-dimensional creatures into the material world.

For most ship captains, ’Ghost Ship’ is more of a city legend.

Because anyone who encounters a ghost ship, almost all annihilated.

So many path accidents with huge casualties will have ’Ghost Ship’ rumors.

And the true ghost ship, this is the first time they’ve seen it!

Watching as the ’Space Bubble’ kept expanding, eventually completely swallowing this ’Ghost Ship’, at this moment, they were extremely thankful, thankfully catching the wave of inspection. Otherwise, many crew members traveling at light-speed, under ’sleep mode’, might silently die.

Quickly, the inspection began. Galen people with solemn faces holding various instruments descended from the ’Arc Great Wall’ to conduct ship inspections.

Once the inspection was complete, the ship could pass through the space bubble and leave this path.

Besides energy storage and inspection, the space bubble also has space moving capabilities.

Once the anxious mood was alleviated, these ship captains set up stalls in the public channel, especially the soft-bodied lifeform captain who said he’d deliver fish, enthusiastically selling what was said to enhance the body after eating: ’Stans Mini Whale’.

And new anchorers kept joining; some were crew members unsealed from hibernation, some just anchored guards. An interstellar norm is that under light-speed conditions, the captain, as the person with ultimate responsibility, cannot enter hibernation.

’How much for this fish?’

At this moment, the virtual mode Gao Gong was bargaining with the opposite soft-bodied captain.

’500 Credit Points, guest, I can sense the powerful biological Power within you. Believe me, taking this ’Stans Mini Whale’, you will definitely unlock your powerful energy.’

’Oh come on, I’m a virtual persona here, you can still see my real body through the network?’ the virtual Gao Gong ridiculed.

’It’s not him feeling it, it’s me feeling it.’

Gao Gong looked down, discovering it was a projection of a ’whale’ speaking. This type of whale was entirely golden, with sixteen jet holes on its back, swimming in a virtual bathtub. The one speaking was the one that looked the most robust.

’Oh, unexpectedly, Tansos took a liking to you; it’s the Fish King!’

Gao Gong raised an eyebrow and said:

’Boss, selling Intelligent Species is quite a crime.’

’Of course I know this, but selling ’Stans Mini Whale’ is an exception. In fact, the one hiring me to sell is precisely this group of whales.’

The soft-bodied captain showed an electronic document, clearly indicating it was the ’Stans Mini Whale’ tribe hiring him to sell themselves, with the ’Seed of Life Civilization’ seal on it.

Gao Gong had indeed heard of this civilization, reputed to be a ’Multi-Species Civilization’, the civilization domain at least over 10 star zones away, famous in interstellar society for selling Biological Materials, reputedly possessing powerful ’longevity technology’ and ’gene development technology’.

Moreover, along with the Galen Republic and Mirta Federation, it’s an old Level 2 Civilization, promoted to Level 3 after the departure of the Purple Giant Star.

Gao Gong didn’t know this ’Seed of Life’, but he knew the outcomes of many multi-species civilizations, initially thriving by tapping the strengths of a hundred races, civilization developing rapidly, but later all ended with Intelligent Species internal wars. Whether internal conflicts can be avoided depends on the political leaders’ tactics and the pace of biotechnology development.

But this topic veered off; he lowered his head, looking at this ’selling themselves’ Golden Mini Whale, surprisingly asking:

’Did you ask him to sell it?’

’That’s right,’ the Golden Mini Whale nodded, speaking in a universal cosmic language:

’For our Stans tribes, the highest honor is to integrate our genes into Advanced Organism, becoming part of them. Every adult Stans Mini Whale will hand over to transporters, to be delivered to the Cosmic Black Market. Transporters gain money, while we gain the chance to integrate with high-level Carbon-Based Species.’

’...’

This is a female Bodhisattva, no, should be a Genetic Bodhisattva.

Within interstellar society, there’s unexpectedly such benevolent species.

Gao Gong indicated he had limited experience.

But in his previous life, he indeed didn’t much interact with these special species.

’So, are you pursuing death? Is this voluntary?’ ’Lolita’ beside him casually asked.

She also expressed interest in this strange species.

The Golden Mini Whale shook its head:

’Lady, in our civilization, there’s no concept of ’free will’. Of course, I can understand what you mean, but in our biological concept, an organism is a combination of billions of cells, will is likewise. As a life capable of generating ’self’, the highest value is to integrate one’s life into a larger Life System.’

’This is the most valuable kind of Evolution.’
