Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 136: Chapter 121: Biological Replicant - Venom

”Is this what you got for me after reimbursing two sets of Bio-Fusion Armor?”

”Why does this thing look so much like phlegm?” Gao Gong said disdainfully, looking at the viscous liquid in his hand.

Right, the scientific name for this thing isn’t phlegm, but ’Biological Replicant.’

Although Gao Gong knew his own resources were limited and he couldn’t produce anything good in a short time, it’s not like buying a computer just to dismantle the graphics card.

Professor Han might have felt a bit embarrassed too, so after a moment of silence, he started talking about its performance directly.

”We used some cells from high-level Radiation Beasts to replace some components of the Bio-Fusion Armor.”

”The effects have yet to reach the standard, the rejection rate is too high, and it’s not suitable for implantation into the human body, but when implanted into weapons, there is no problem.”

”Don’t go yet,” Gao Gong called out to the soldier with the ’hand bone spikes’ and pulled off a glob of the pus-like substance, throwing it over, ”Try it.”

”Try... try?” The soldier also fell into silence while looking at the thing in his hand. Despite his emotions being very thin due to Biological Rejection, he was still a normal person, not an idiot.

Looking at the clump of ’thick phlegm’ in his palm, it’s not something that can be swallowed directly.

However, the ’thick phlegm’ seemed almost intelligent, climbing directly from the palm and flowing onto the bone spikes. The next moment, the bone spikes visibly turned black, with a black smoke emerging from them.

”How does it feel?” The two of them stared at him.

”Feels... pretty good.”

”Try it out.”

The soldier didn’t waste any time and swiftly executed two slashes towards the wall. The next moment, the iconic X-shaped claw marks of Wolverine appeared, penetrating the wall, with the marks exhibiting severe corrosion signs.

Gao Gong rubbed his chin.

Ordinary Biological Mutation surgery could never produce the first generation Wolverine.

If the bone spike version of Wolverine was a non-rejection top-tier Old Hunter, then the soldier in front of them was merely a Biological Transformated Soldier, with bones being just ordinary ones, only suitable for cutting some fruits and breaking on hitting any hard objects.

But after integrating this glob of ’pus,’ the lethality suddenly escalated.

No matter the healing ability, just talking about lethality, it’s about the same as the first version of Wolverine.

”Can it be retracted?” Professor Han curiously asked.

The soldier tried, shaking his head: ”No, there’s a very uncomfortable sensation from the body.”

”Alright, at least it can enhance Attack Power.”

As the soldier’s bone blade moved quickly, the ’pus’ seemed to transform from an attached state back to normal.

Can vibrations influence the fusion?

The soldier reluctantly handed the ’pus’ back over, Gao Gong smiled and said: ”If you like it, go ahead and keep playing with it, but if there’s any discomfort with your body, be sure to find Professor Han.”

”Yes, sir... thank you.”

”By the way, your name isn’t Logan, right?” Gao Gong asked suddenly as the soldier reached the door.

”No,” the soldier paused and replied, ”My name is Luo Dayou.”

”Good name!”

”It seems that this version of the prototype can only serve as a ’Biological Weapon,’” Professor Han said regretfully after everyone left.

”Can the relevant knowledge be organized?” Gao Gong was more concerned about this.

”No problem, it is a minor branch of Reproduction Technology, ’Weapon Transplantation.’

Anyway, being able to grind out Professional Knowledge is good.

Some Professional Knowledge can be grinded through the upgrade of Sub-Professions, some cannot.

This requires the reverse engineering of related technology products, and without a strong enough professional vision, it’s impossible to push it out.

At least Gao Gong couldn’t do it, in the previous life he took the virtual route, not dealing with physical entities.

Associated Bionic Technology with pre-war laboratories, Prosthetic Technology brought by Prosthetic Doctor reaching Full Level, and Bio-Fusion Technology related to Bio-Fusioners, Biotechnology from the Biological Mutation Association.

These four all form the Professional Knowledge Chain using Carbon-Based Creatures as the blueprint.

In other words, they belong to the same Level 2 Carbon-Based Civilization.

Collecting professional knowledge chains in the direction of Carbon-Based Civilization is also quite acceptable to Gao Gong.

After all, combining Carbon-Based + Mechanical, in terms of individual aspects, Mechanical Transformation and Biological Transformation have to progress concurrently.

And from the civilization perspective, for the same level of Civilization Knowledge, others only need to collect one type, whereas he has to collect two types.

One type is Mechanical Civilization Knowledge, the other is Carbon-Based Civilization Knowledge.

The fusion of civilizations is much harder compared to the fusion of individual life.

Moreover, the knowledge possessed in the previous life also needs to find an heir, otherwise, wouldn’t it be wasted?

Upon returning to his senses, he found Professor Han still frowning in thought, seemingly very dissatisfied with the current ’thick phlegm’ version.

According to his explanation, for this ’Biological Replicant’ to be qualified, it needs to achieve an enhancement in at least two aspects.

First, it shouldn’t merely attach to weapons, but also be able to attach to the human body, as the ’damage increase’ of weapons is just a bonus, whereas vital defense is the real support.

Second, it needs to have its own Biological Will, since it can’t become part of the human body it must be able to control itself.

Gao Gong listened and found it increasingly odd.

Goodness, is this a low-end version of Bio-Fusion Armor or an artificial version of Venom?

”Alright, carry on with your work, I also need to head to the battlefield now.”

”Boss, can we win this battle?” Professor Han asked suddenly.

”Of course, we must!”

Four Blood Wings ’shwoosh’ opened, and Gao Gong squeezed the ’Biological Replicant’ forcefully. This thing seemed to have a mind of its own, automatically attaching to the Blood Wings. In an instant, a thick, black liquid flowed over the wings, dyeing the Blood Feathers into Black Feathers.

As for the feeling, it was like putting a mask on the wings, cool and refreshing.

Gao Gong flew into the air, and with the naked eye, he could see the Black Tide surging in a landslide-like momentum from afar.

Although Gao Gong was quite confident in this battle, after all, the ’Radiation Annihilation Liquid’ was already in mass production.

But others didn’t think so. In fact, most people were quite pessimistic.

After all, over the years, whenever a Beast Tide reached the ’boiling period’, the failure rate in defending against it was much higher than the success rate.

When it came to crucial moments, Gao Gong was quite cautious and decided to enhance himself one more time.

[You have upgraded Slaughter Hunter to lv3, Power +1, Agility +1, Perception +1]

[You have upgraded Slaughter Hunter to lv4, Power +1, Wisdom +1, Perception +1]

[You have upgraded Slaughter Hunter to lv5, Power +1, Wisdom +1, Perception +1, new skill: Prey Mark]

Prey Mark (Professional Skill): After marking with pheromones, you can always spot the prey you want to hunt amidst the vast sea of beasts.

A tracking skill, not bad.

The experience for the second-transformation profession was measured in tens of thousands; just like that, 70,000 experience was gone. Combined with previous Gambling Blueprint and job changes, hunting B-level Radiation Beast cost a large amount of experience, taking away half of it instantly.

For the remaining half, Gao Gong thought for a moment, then upgraded ’Bounce-Back Blade’ from lv1 to lv10 in one go, and invested one Specialization Point.

[You have upgraded ’Bounce-Back Blade’ to lv10]

[’Bounce-Back Blade’ upgraded to lv10max, entering skill advancement state, please select your Elite Skill - Large Creature Bullet Reflection, Bullet Time, Shield Dance]

’Large Creature Bullet Reflection’ is equivalent to an advanced version of Bounce-Back, also known as the ’Elden Ring’ version, containing a vast number of leverage and neutralizing techniques, truly achieving smaller defeating larger, four ounces moving a thousand pounds.

’Bullet Time’ needs no introduction; the greatest use of this skill is not dodging bullets but gaining sufficient reaction time when a grenade launcher is fired or when an air-to-ground missile descends from the sky.

’Shield Dance’ is an advanced shield weapon usage skill, which involves using one’s own shield to attack the opponent’s spear, easily dealing double damage.

Gao Gong thought for a moment, eliminated ’Shield Dance’, hesitated between ’Large Creature Bullet Reflection’ and ’Bullet Time’, and ultimately chose ’Bullet Time’.

If it were before, he would certainly choose the former, but now he is not much afraid of A-level Radiation Beasts; perhaps he can’t win face-to-face, but he wouldn’t be taken out in a single move by the opponent either.

Instead, he is more concerned about nuclear bombs descending from the sky.

Although theoretically, the Security Corps would not launch a nuclear bomb.

But theoretically, he should not be able to travel through dimensions either.

[You have chosen the Elite Skill: Bullet Time]

[You have upgraded Bullet Time to lv2]

[You have upgraded Bullet Time to lv3]

[You have upgraded Bullet Time to lv4]

[You have upgraded Bullet Time to lv5]

Bullet Time lv5 (Elite): You can sense the bullet’s trajectory in a split second, making high-reaction evasions, Evasion Rate +50%, Evasion Speed +60%, ignoring ’One-Hit Kill’.

Additional State: High Mental Focus, Battlefield Foresight

High Mental Focus: Your nerve reflex speed increases a hundredfold in an instant.

Battlefield Foresight: You can accurately judge the danger level of a local battlefield, indicating which areas are low danger, which are medium danger, which are high danger, and which are death zones.

Gao Gong exhaled, the scene in front of him hadn’t changed, but in his perception, it was entirely different.

It’s like picking up chopsticks and instinctively knowing which dishes he likes and which he doesn’t.

He could clearly feel which environments were comfortable, which were slightly uncomfortable, which couldn’t be stayed in for long, and which were very uncomfortable.

The places where he ’couldn’t stay long’ must have B-level Radiation Beasts.

The only ’very uncomfortable’ place was where the Crimson Empress resided.

Looking at the less than 40,000 Experience Value remaining, along with 7 free attribute points and 4 skill points, Gao Gong decided to keep something in reserve.

As a battlefield commander, it’s quite reasonable to have a few tricks up my sleeve, right?

What if they aim for a decapitation strike on me?

Gao Gong squinted his eyes, staring at the ’very uncomfortable’ direction.

Is it a ’high danger zone’ or a ’death zone’?

At the same time, the Crimson Empress, sitting on the flesh carpet, also looked over.

Their two gazes clashed fiercely across a very long distance,

The Crimson Empress raised the blood-red spear in her hand, and in the next moment, a terrifying tide engulfed everything.

In the Central Desert, all monitoring equipment failed, one large processor after another began to experience downtime, even Xiao Tong’s encryption system fell into a snowflake mode.

However, in the next moment, one Electronic City after another rose from the ground; they seemed unaffected and even appeared more realistically.

Gao Gong smiled slightly, ”Did you really think I wouldn’t be prepared for this move of yours?”
