Starting as a Mechanical Hunter

Chapter 135: Chapter 120: Alien Blood Flasuo

The piercing alarm sounded, and Xiao Tong stared at the big screen. On the screen, electronic signals throughout the Central Desert were experiencing varying degrees of interference.

”The Beast Tide has entered a boiling state!”

The boiling of the Beast Tide is a sign that it has reached its peak stage. Generally, this leads to one of two outcomes: either the genetic territory of the A-level Radiation Beast expands and the tide further inundates, or the tide is stopped, and the mutant energy dissipates.

”It’s a full half month earlier than expected,” said a Security Corps staff officer uneasily.

”Connect me to those five. If the Beast Tide spreads further, it will not just be a matter for the Central Desert alone.”

A Legion hacker nodded, and his network access chamber started making ’beep’ ’beep’ ’beep’ sounds like a helmet.

For sensory signals, the human brain is their base station. The more brains there are, the faster the signal transmission will be.

This is also the only transmission method that can break through radiation interference.

Soon, the virtual meeting was back online, only to Xiao Tong’s surprise, the only one online was Major General Matsumoto from Honshu Island.

”Where are the other four?”

”Zhang Hai from the East is on coastal patrol and has not returned. The other three went to the Sky Mother Ship.”

”The Sky Mother Ship? Has the Vice Admiral returned?” Xiao Tong was first surprised, then his face quickly turned stiff as he guessed what they were up to.

Suppressing his anger, he said, ”Why wasn’t I informed? When the Vice Admiral is not present, aren’t all Security Corps decisions supposed to go through a vote by the six Major Generals?”

Old Man Matsumoto remained calm, ”They thought it might not pass, so they bypassed you and went directly to the Vice Admiral for approval.”

”Then why are you here?”

”I voted against the nuclear strike.”

Xiao Tong crossed his arms, his expression extremely displeased. After a while, he coldly said, ”Since they won’t follow the rules, we won’t either. Elder Matsumoto, can your elite troops come to the Central Desert to fight?”

Major General Matsumoto squinted, ”That’s hard to say. An old guy like me, who’s on the brink of death, can’t compare to your wealthy Xiao Family.”

...

Inside the Sky Battleship, a Security Corps flying device followed the hollow and entered the ’cabin,’ hovering above a bomber under the adjustment of magnetic suspension technology.

This magnetic suspension design can effectively save space.

On the surface, the Security Corps’ Sky Battleship is just a luxury yacht version of the sky, where countless upper-class members indulge in extravagance and dissipation.

But only the internal personnel of the Security Corps know how terrifying a killing weapon this truly is.

At a glance, there are more than three hundred such advanced combat flying devices.

Genetic Major General Gram, Battle Saber Major General Zhang Feng, and Female Major General Frey descended from the stairs, and under the guidance of the service personnel, they entered the floating passage, with their whole bodies suspended in the passage and began moving at high speed. This is a gravity technology used in space navigation, used here purely for convenience.

Soon, the three were ushered into a luxurious hall and met the Vice Admiral in person.

He was a nearly three-meter tall blue-skinned person, with violet pupils, and constantly emitted energy spots from his skin surface, causing ripples.

At this moment, ’he’ was wearing a luxurious robe, playing with a little girl of the same skin color.

”Salute to the Master of the Sky, the manager of the Asteroid Belt, the owner of the advanced bloodline, Alien Blood Flasuo.”

The three Major Generals simultaneously kneeled halfway, expressions reverent.

”The purpose of your visit?” Flasuo’s voice was very melodious, sounding like some kind of music being played.

”The Beast Tide is rampaging in the Central Desert. To maintain the rule of the Public Security Corps, we request you initiate the Scorched Earth Plan.”

”Rampaging? Xiao Tong did not report it to me like that.”

”Major General Xiao Tong has been covering up the true situation of the Beast Tide for his own benefit. In fact, since the death of Demon Mountain, the Beast Tide has been uncontrollable,” Gram said solemnly.

Alien Blood Flasuo said nothing. His violet pupils swept over the three, and his gaze seemed to pierce their hearts, making them even more respectful.

In the Mechanical Era, there is no ethics or morals; strength and progress are the only standards.

And in their eyes, Flasuo, with alien blood lineage implanted, was strength itself.

Flasuo patted the little girl’s head, and the obedient girl walked out, casting a curious glance at Frey as she passed by.

In Frey’s peripheral vision, the girl’s face seemed mature for her age, with a hint of worry flashing in her eyes.

”I can’t help you with this matter.”

”Why?” Zhang Feng blurted out.

Flasuo shifted positions, pulling his hand from his sleeve. Each of his six fingers was of equal length, and the first finger lightly tapped into the void, condensing his powerful spiritual power into a document identical to the one in Du Zhaodi’s hand.

”The highest order of the Mechanical Committee, even I have to comply.”

...

”Zhao Mechanism, quickly move these materials to the warehouse!”

With an impatient voice, the soot-covered Zhao Mechanism raised his head from the machinery.

”But I haven’t finished my work here yet.”

”Just do it when you’re told, no need for so much nonsense!”

Zhao Mechanism fell silent, then under the mocking gazes of a group of people, picked up the bottles and jars and headed toward the warehouse.

”Is he the new manager?”

”The new manager, huh? He’s long been removed.”

”Oh, it’s him.”

The wheel of fortune turns; back when he was under Geville, he was so glorified—as Geville defected, Demon Mountain promoted him, procuring a large amount of biological experiment materials for him.

However, ultimately, it’s all about strength.

The biological warriors at the frontline lost control at the critical moment, and the biological synthesis factory at the rear was bombed by the enemy.

With these two major setbacks, even he was left dizzy and seeing stars.

He was swiftly and thoroughly removed from his position.

Even worse, the person he always despised, Gao Gong, who was good at nothing but bragging, unexpectedly rose to become the new highest military officer.

Their old grudges somehow resurfaced.

Thus, Zhao Mechanism had to return to his old profession, becoming an honorable and sacred porter.

”I am unwilling, utterly unwilling!”

Only when he was alone could Zhao Mechanism vent his emotions; at this moment, deep in the warehouse, Zhao Mechanism clenched his fists, his face twisted with bitterness and hatred.

And the objects of his hatred were Gao Gong and also Du Zhaodi.

If she had been with him, how could he have ended up like this!

It was all because of that woman!!

Just then, the battlefield communicator rang; since his downfall, no one had actively contacted him for a long time.

Pressing this enhanced ’battlefield communication phone,’ a familiar voice sounded.

”You’ve been having a rough time lately, Manager Zhao.”

The familiar voice made Zhao Mechanism freeze; after a long pause, he hesitated, ”Geville, General?”

”I’m no longer a general now; I imagine the Security Corps wouldn’t retain the rank of a traitor.”

Zhao Mechanism quickly regained his composure and said, ”You still have informants in the Security Corps; you’re monitoring me!?”

”We can use another term, such as ’invite.’ I invite you to join me in embarking on a great venture.”

Betray the Security Corps, then.

Zhao Mechanism pondered the pros and cons in his heart; honestly, not until the very last resort did he want to betray the official forces.

But, thinking about his current predicament, he became indecisive.

”Manager Zhao, don’t forget how you obtained those biological materials. Do you think the other party will spare you? It’s just that he’s occupied by the urgent war. Once he remembers you, can you guess what he’d do?” Geville laughed.

This sentence finally made Zhao Mechanism resolve.

”Then, for this great endeavor, what do I need to do?”

...

One after another, large robots walked out of Automobile City. These gigantic machines, as tall as three stories, bore numerous scars and bullet marks on their bodies. Their weapons also were stained with blood, and between gears, they were enveloped in a thin layer of minced flesh.

”What do you think?”

Kep hovered in mid-air, watching the large combat robots move.

Demon Mountain chose a grand legion tactic, not without reason; only a grand legion and heavy firepower can withstand the almost endless Beast Tide attack.

Regarding Gao Gong’s tactics, they were unheard of and unseen.

Moreover, the most crucial point is when the Beast Tide launches, all electronic components will malfunction. Sensory equipment, although not communication devices, is also composed of numerous electronic components.

Gao Shu remained silent for a moment, ”Since he chooses to do it this way, naturally there’s a reason. Let’s wait and watch changes unfold.”

Iron Madman snorted coldly and directly flew to the shoulder of a large combat robot, clearly unwilling to say a word.

Kep shook his head and sighed, also mingling within the Mechanical Beast army.

The battlefield was no longer unified but was divided into blocks, with each heading in different directions.

Once they departed, Gao Shu activated the battlefield communicator, whispered, ”Advisor, they all left.”

Gao Gong’s voice came through the communicator: ”As long as they’re willing to fight the Beast Tide alongside us, that’s enough.”

”I’ll ensure Demon Mountain’s troops remain on the battlefield.”

”Alright, I’m counting on you.”

Upon ending the communication, the Bio-Fusion Armor on Gao Shu began to melt gradually, transforming into a transparent fluid, eventually rendering his entire body invisible.

...

Loyalty is a good quality, but generally, scarce equals good.

Gao Gong wasn’t surprised by Gao Shu’s allegiance; after all, individuals like these intelligence leaders are most likely to become closer, and also most likely to betray.

Moreover, they’re both named Gao, inherently akin to family.

He was fiddling with a ball of ’fluid.’ This fluid is quite similar to Bio-Fusion Armor, but not a solid color—turbid with purity amid a countless number of small particles, resembling pus generated from necrotic tissue.
